Glad to see someone else said it and not me. I flashed TWRP 2.5 with SPTOOLS and Flashed SuperSU 1.32 in TWRP and I was on rooted A116 in less than 3 minutes. Isnt that too fast and simple? Yes works on Win8 64bit too.

yes man...old drivers works...using win 8 x64....
once u need to boot into Disable Driver Signing Enforcement for installing unsigned drivers.

This method aint working in my system. Can anyone provide the old drivers? The preloader comes up for a split second in the com section in device manager and disappears. Any help?

@deepayanneogi
It happens if you try to install it without starting SP Flash Tool first.
What I mean to say is the flash mode persists under Windows only if SP Flash Tool is open. So open SP Flash Tool, connect the mobile, install the driver & then flash it.

Connect your phone without battery and then keep pressing volume down button then you will here sound on your system.... Then reconnect device and you will find it in device manager then install drivers

It worked great and now can root or flash roms by using windows 8 x64 but for installing driver i have to reboot my pc into driver enforcement mode...........

I think is the USB port problem, because I've tried at my old upgraded win8 laptop with USB 2.0 port it works but at new win8 laptop with USB 3.0 port can't detect...
Also I've tried with a hub, but the flashtool detect my phone as flash mode although I'm connect it as fastboot mode...

Re: [Q] [Live With Walkman] Can't get flashtool fastboot to work (Windows 8)
That's a win 8 issue, u need to disable driver signature enforcement and then reinstall the drivers, I will copy the steps in a jiffy.

It had to me once, when I was going to flash the stock rom from SP Flash tools. I think there was some drivers problem, and the process stopped in between, and when i tried to turn the phone on, it only emitted some light and would stay that until the battery would drain. After a few days, it went dead, no response. This was the time I realized that I had to give it to a service center. Unfortunately, the service was awfully bad, and my phone came repaired back after 3 MONTHS! So, I recommend, that you hand it over to a non-micromax service center (as your warranty is now void), and try your luck! All the best!
P.S. My CHD is working awesome now, installed MiUi

I bricked my P780 and didnt do a backup. I formated the phone with SpFlashTool, afterwards the Flashing didnt work. And a second format didnt work too.
Now i tried nearly every possible tutorial on the web...
I am using win7
My main problem is that i am using SpFlashTool (newest version) and i get an 4032 Error if i try to download the rom.
I tried nearly every Rom for the p780 with every possible scatter file.
I tried nearly every MediaTek DA VCOM USB Driver, MediaTek PreLoader VCOM USB Driver and MTK USB Port Driver and always with no success.
I even plugged out the battery (its not removable) without damaging the phone...

Hi. Because you have formated your nand you must reinstall your drivers, because your preloader now is messed up.
In order to do that you must do this:
1. Install drivers.
2. Go to device manager and let the window open.
3. Connect your phone and new hardware should appear for just a seccond or 2 max, something with MTK 6.5.XXX.
4. Click very fast on the little new thing that appear there because will desapear.
5. Now press the button to update drivers hardware. In one of my posts you will find an archive with the right drivers. Drivers are on the archive uploaded here.
6. After the drivers are installed your PC should recognize the phone.
7. After this the steps should be the same to flash your ROM. Oh and by the way: Press Firmware Upgrade button not Download. And dont forget to check DA/DL With Checksum... option
