blinks the notification light
No display
wont turn on
No vibration
I tried to connect the St15i to PC and it says USB device not Recognized and keeps blinking.after a few second suddenly the Green light comes and Flash Tool detects the device is connected in Flash mode.when tried to install the Gingerbread ftf which was downloaded from here.it says .

and won't even produce nothing.. even the blinking.. after some times (keeping the same state)( plugged in) the notification starts blinking again. and the same repeats.
I think the problem is with battery.. i tried charging the whole day.. when charged in the red light blinks after a time it stops. and no response.but till flashing the Device the battery had no issues.
I tried to Use SonyEriccsion Update service. it says "Your phone does have the Updated Software which cannot be updated. and the detection is the same as above. My Phone is Xperia Mini ST15i) ! please please please reply ... as i have switched off mobile for a whole day.

Hi,
my experience with this type of problem (can help someone):
there is 2 week, I have break my Xperia mini by flashing a bad kernel ... Same problems of this post but I can fixe by hold on volume buttons when the Xperia was plug in USB port of my laptop (without plug my smartphone to USB, the method don't work). After that I have a new boot.img and now it works like a charm .

If I flash this ftf file, will I lose my data?
Update: I flashed this on JellyVanilla EX 5.0 and it fixed my no charging issue, thanks
Update 2: My phone was charging after I flashed the ftf file, but then when I unplugged and then replugged, my phone won't charge again, when I connect to the computer nothing happens, what should I do?

whats happening with my device?
Hello everybody,
My Xperia Mini ST15i (with 2.3.4 ROM, & 4.0.2.a.0.42 Build Number) can't turn on properly.
Just stuck at 'Sony Ericsson' (before the logo).
I tried to press power + volume down, but it wont open the CWM.
Then I want to flash with the latest flashtool 0.9.xx, but the log status was:
29/044/2013 21:44:06 - INFO - <- This level is successfully initialized
29/044/2013 21:44:06 - INFO - Flashtool Version 0.9.11.0 built on 2013-06-04 22:50:00

29/046/2013 21:46:03 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
So what should I do for this problem?
Even I can't turn on the USB debugging and switch to MSC mode because the device stuck at 'Sony Ericsson'.
Everybody please help me
I can't do this without your kindness and your guide.
Thanks a lot. I hope you all can reply my mesage.

Take your battery for at least 5 seconds.
Put it back again.
Press back button and connect the cable with the back button pressed.
Then start fota unbrick.
Try it several times.
Sometimes and thats weird the computer as problems connecting to phone.
I warrant you that the thing works and you are with the right problem.
Your trim area is damaged.
Thanks! I've tried like 50 times, and nothing, the ennoing "sony ericsson" is booting (no sony ericsson logo as usualy, just the writing) I flashed 10 times in the past whith no problem. Now, even when I put it to charge ( wall charge) the phone is turning on showing that stupid "sony ericsson" writting, I cant shut it down from the on\off button. Before killling it, I've instales stock MT15i_4.0.A.2.368_GLOBAL ROM, then I upgraded to MT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Global, then rooted with DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su, Installed CWM( wiped cache, updated SE tweaked v8.5 Rom) After the restart, the "se" writting started booting. I've pulled out the batery, and begined flashing it with flash tool(no green led). The flashing started and my little brother accidentaly pulled out the Usb cable; that's the whole story! I've tried like 100 times with wotan, flash tool and FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick, no result, even if pc companion tells me "phone conected" and gives me further instructions whith the phone being dead, and the flash tool showing me to connect de device... Thank you for all the help, hope there is a solution. sorry for the long post and my bad english...

Flash tooll results when trying to connect (pulling batery-10 secs, back butoon, usb cable)
Look, read carefully.
You can´t have that log, this log shows that your phone is connected (powered on).
Withou green line you re not ready to go.
Just follow as I´ve writted before.
Battery of for 5 secs. take the back button and plug the cable. After that you must run fota unbrick.
then just flash and your phone should be good.
If not PM and I give you another solution.
Thank you again! I tried, my phone was bricked before, but I've managed every time to get into the flash mode, and flashing it succesfully. This time is bad, i pulled the batery out for hours, coonect the batery-nothing happens, push the back button-nothing happens, While holding the back button-conect the usb port to pc-after 3-4 secs, that "sony ericsson" screen apears (no green logo, just the writting) no green led, somehow pc companion tells me i'm "connected" and shows me further steps, but on the phone it's just that "se" writting. No mather how bricked was my phone before, It allways got into the flash mode (1-4tries) I even reinstaled Windows, drivers, hope I want damage the usb port of the phone Have a great day!

[Q] Sony Xperia S Booting Problem

Hey guys,
Yesterday my 2weeks old Xperia S crashed and when I tried to reboot it just shows the 'Sony' startup logo and it keeps restarting over and over again just showing the logo.
Last week I updated to .73, I don't know if this has anything to do with it.
I already tried to fix with Sony PC Companion or reinstall the update with SE Update Manager, but both of them just gave me an error they can't connect to my device. I went to Sony Center and they tried everything but nothing worked. They told me to send it to Sony to repair it but that will take over 4 weeks until I will get it back.
I hope there is a solution to this without having to send it to Sony...
Greetings,
Wouter

battery level must be higher that 50% other way it will fail
I mean minimum 2,5 hours charging! try to leave it alone to charge up

Nope it won't void your warranty
You don't unlock your bootloader or root it.
The only thing you do is flash an official firmware, but just another way than the usual.

I'm still wondering what the cause of this problem could be, I was just texting my gf and my screen just froze. I rebooted the device by using powerbutton+volume up and it didn't get past the 'Sony' logo and just keeps rebooting... I'm wondering if this is just a software sided problem or if there is more going on...

you can also close pccompanion task manger "pc comapasion.exe*32" then close task both of them because that sometimes clog up the progress
if you use the flashtool!!

Flaky buttons: The three physical buttons at the bottom stop working after about two minutes. This is a known issue and I have tried everything to fix it short of disassembling the device.
No Fastboot or Flash modes: No matter what I do, I cannot get into Fastboot/Flash modes. I have the latest versions of Flashtool, s1tool and GG drivers installed on my WS 2008 R2 PC, but no luck. Holding the Back/VolDn button when plugging in the USB cord just goes directly to the battery charging icon (with *yellow* LED) after showing the "Sony Ericsson" text (no logo) for 8-10 seconds. Is there any indication to the user that the phone is in fastboot/flash mode?
Missing camera button: :'(
I may not have provided enough information, but please ask! All assistance is appreciated.
Please help. I am totally stuck, gentlemen! I am making one minor correction; the LED color mentioned in #3 above is yellow, not green. Here's the Flashtool log:

Note that it connected in Flash mode a couple of times and then it immediately disconnected. I have not been able to successfully connect in Flash mode since.
Hmm... I use an old version of flashtool. Version 8.0.6 from memory it has an update patch that went with this release.
The reason is the latest version of flashtool has forgotten all about the X10i.. don't get me wrong, that latest version still works with the X10i for flashing things, it just doesn't have all the old extras like xRecovery/CWM recovery downloads and etc.
To get a Sony core GB v2.3.3 build you can download SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) and just do a complete phone upgrade/install.
Have you unlocked the bootloader on the X10i yet? It's fine to do this on an X10i as there is nothing to lose, unlike some of the 2013 models.
Then use flashtool to root the X10i (and with an old version of flashtool) download xRecovery or CWM recovery and then start your ROM/Kernel of choice installs.

Thank you for your reply! I have already tried upgrading to v2.3.3 using PC Companion. It downloads the update then asks me to a) turn off the phone, b) disconnect the cable, and c) connect the cable with the back button pressed. When I do that, nothing happens; the phone shows the 'Sony Ericsson' text for a few seconds then shows the charging icon (with the yellow LED).
Do you think I should try with SEUS instead of PC Companion?
I also strongly believe there's something physically wrong with my phone. Remember the "buttons stop working 2 minutes after boot" issue? I see that issue even when the phone is off, where pressing any button won't illuminate the screen and show the charging icon! Has anyone else seen this? Is it an easy fix?
Maybe the two issues are related. Thanks again!
EDIT: So I tried with SEUS, and no go. I am stuck on the screen where it asks me to connect the turned-off phone with the Back button pressed -- the phone doesn't want to enter Flash mode, methinks. :'(
If your BACK button doesn't work ( you said so), no worth of pressing him to get into flash mode. Don't press volume button either, because there no fastboot mode for X10. I don't know is there another method to get flash mode.

No, the back button works, but only for a short while (~2 minutes) after booting the phone. After that, none of the home row buttons work. E.g., on starting the phone when I open the app drawer and press the back button, it will take me to back to the home screen. If I keep doing that for a short while, the buttons will simply stop working and I will be stuck in the app drawer, until I switch off the phone. A quick Google search shows that I am not alone. I have tried most of the (simple) suggestions in those threads and they don't work for me.
Thanks for your reply, Dzufa.
Maybe your Back button don't work when your phone is off, and that would be main reason why your phone can't go into flash mode.

It's tool time
It's hammer time.... Opps no.. that did come out right.
It's tool time... Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Working Instructions v6
You're going to have to fix the physical phone first before you can install/upgrade firmware.
If you don't you're just going to have problem after problem.
For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode

Hardbrick only red led..

Hello guys
I need your help..
2 days ago i accidently flashed a rom for the xperia Z on my Z2 ( i didn't paid attention to the name of the zip..) and since then the phone won't boot, and i can't acces to flashmode or fastboot mode..
When i plug the phone on charge, i can get a red light but that's all..
Also if i unplug it, and press volume + and power it vibrate 3 times, and then i plug it to the computer, i get a sound as a device is connected, but can't go further, still no fastboot or flashmode..
Please help me guys, i had to buy a bb bold 9900 so i can keep contact with my friends, but it freaking sucks...
I hope there's a chance to get my z2 back alive..
Thanks guys
If you have lights, you should be able to reflash an ftf with flashtool. I (optimistically) flashed a z3 rom on this phone when it first came out to see what happens. I know you say it doesn't go into flash or fastboot modes, but have you installed the drivers and know what your doing?
