It started with the need of Crt-Off support on a close to stock kernel, and i'm planning to keep it this way for now.
Question: is this 'stock enough' not to trigger the 'modified' notification? Considering how many of these phones have been committing suicide (SDS), I feel I have to keep mine looking like stock in case of warranty claim. The requirements seem to be stock recovery & stock kernel.

Here u are just kidding but i want to tell you what happened to me today.
I use your rom from month and i love that.
Last month i had freeze problem due to SDS and thanking to RootSU i managed it with syaha kernel: never more had any freeze in about 2 weeks.
Yesterday i updated to your last MB5 rom (6.2) with Adam kernel, and then updated to last Adam.
Today i had a freeze
Probably it's not related.. but just want to tell you.
I'll keep on monitoring and in case updaye you here.

KNOWN PROBLEMS
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CBiv3KYTGeOKMnrXVAr1_SqKXDxq1E_6wvBb2Vs8Ttw/edit#gid=0
- Stweaks is not working at the moment, and i can't work to fix it because of reasons above.
- Freezes from undervolting/overclocking and any data lost in the freezing process is your responsibility!
- The stable kernels in OP are tested for stability before being posted here.
- If you have problems follow these steps to flash a stock cm kernel with odin:
- First of all install the correct drivers:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cm10i9100vsync/files/latest/download?source=files
- Download odin and extract it:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B64DyNFMhOJJSUFvYmZYaXEzNjQ/edit
- Download the cyanogenmod's kernel tar:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B64DyNFMhOJJdGptbW9UVXE0RFU/edit?usp=sharing
- After installing the drivers, open odin, boot your phone in download mode (vol down + home + power) and connect it to your computer
- In odin select PDA mode and select the kernel's tar file
- Hit "Start" button and it will install the kernel then reboot your phone.
- Here you have 2 options: if you are running cyanogenmod just let it boot, if you are not running cyanogenmod, take the battery out and boot it into recovery (vol up + home + power) and flash a kernel or rom zip with stock kernel.

afaik linux kernel must be opensource, his sources are here:
https://github.com/gokhanmoral
CM sources with mali drivers are here:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_samsung_smdk4210
if GM or any member has any problem with the name "Siyah" i will respect it and change it in OP, no problem. Also this kernel will be removed as soon as GM updates his own kernel to work with latest cm10.1. I do not claim this to be my work, i just got the sources and updated drivers then compiled.
Thanks for clarifying. will this work with hybrid roms like Rootbox and jellybam? And would it not be better to use siyah 6.0b4 as base since it has more gpu steps?

it will work as long as the rom has the same video drivers from cm10.1 (r3p1)
b5 has 5 gpu steps aswell but i don't know if the kernel is using all gpu steps because cm kernel's default is 3 steps and i haven't touched the driver's code. If you meant cpu steps i think its not worth the effort, both siyah and cm kernels use 5 step cpu for some good reason

Are the settings saved when you restart the phone? Perhaps you have to delete old kernel configs and stuff.

My request is maybe "too much" but..... I think that there are a lot of users like me, who don't want OC...
could u please release a second version which will support OC? That way we will have 2 versions.. One with oc and one without....
Eagerly waiting for CM based kernel!
Thanks in advance!

Well, the problem is that in the most kernels, there is a bug and freq will always stay at max (the one that OC provides) no matter what you choose.. If you manage to fix it, then its ok

Wow can't wait for this. We all need a good JB Kernel. zRAM and so many frequency oversteps, this has really got me excited!! The race is wide open . Thanks for starting this project. Good Luck .
Hey why not make a combo?
All powersave frequencies with OC?
I would like to have a combo like that!
Also add 100MHz.. very efficient at battery saving
Look forward to it
keep up the good work
LED ?
Working LED on JB ?
Yeah, make it combo so I don't have to downloaded both.

I wish I could do that. But its not possible to accommodate more values in the frequencies table in the Overclocked Version.
And I did not add 100MHz because it causes phone to lag and be unresponsive on most Governors.

I can't decide what version to download
I care about my battery life but I like smooth experience too...
what the people here recomend?
I use Ultimate Rom V8 (JB)
Testing for the last 20 hrs, speed is snappy overall. Multitasking (of over two apps) as pointed out isn't that great. Interactivex+SIO @ 1.2 Ghz - 200 Mhz seems the ideal for battery life which I see is better among others given the performance.
I think keyboard redraws is associated to kernel partially. I had lesser withdraws with the kernel Ashwin's Ultimate Rom. It has something to do with destroying processes which is still buggy in the port as of now.
