[Q] S4 based Roms - Micromax A116

I'm having issue on all S4 based roms (SamHD, Naturewiz HD). The phone wont turn on after its turned off until the battery is removed.
Is it common or what?

clear DALVIK cache from recovery and then retry

Go to settings....accessibility....then disable quick boot...

Reboot problem

Every time I restart my phone just after the boot animation I get the "optimising apps" screen and it continues to optimise 61 of my apps.
I have no idea why it is doing this but it's getting very annoying. It takes ages just to reboot my phone.
Anyone have this issue? Or know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

Do you have a app installed that every time clean your cache and dalvik cache when you restart your phone?
I mean something like system tuner pro or so.

Not as far as I can tell.
I have SD Maid but I have been using it for months and this has only just started.
It's different to wiping dalvik cache though, if I do that then when I reboot I get a screen saying 'android is upgrading' and it installs 110 apps.
This message is 'optimising apps' and it only does 61 of them.........
I just can't figure it out

Oke,what rom are you on,and is it rooted?
Also do you have flash any tweaks or apps from another rom, like popup browser.

I'm on stock DLJ4. the only tweak I have is V6 Supercharger, and some status bar icon mods. But these shouldn't effect it
Have you upgraded your stock rom OTA?
Same things happened to my sgs3 after OTA upgraded.
I flashed rom again by odin. That updating message was gone ever since.

Rebbot after screen turned off

Hi guys, I have this weird problem.
Today I bought a S3 from a guy.
When the phone screen turns off because i don't use it, it doesn't wake and reboots.
When I use it, and screen is on, never reboots.
What to do?
I flashed the newest ROM and the problem still exists

Have you done a factory reset before flashing?

Yes, I did

I mean a real factory reset, not the one found in samsung's settings, but in clockworknod's.
Just root, install clockworkmod, factory reset and flash a custom rom or a samsung stock rom edited to run on rooted s3.
If you've already done that, might also try dalvik cache format...but i dunno how much help it can be.

[Q] [q] the forever brick

question..
why is it?...
that every time i use the return my phone to factory settings whether thru the "privacy" or thru CWM...
I GET BRICKED AT THE SAMSUNG VIBRANT SCREEN AND I HAVE TO KEEP USING ODIN TO BRING MY PHONE
BACK TO LIFE??
thank you all for ur time in this matter
Do you mean on a ROM like CM10? Or AOKP?
Sometimes this happens when you wipe because you wipe the necessary files that a ROM need. Sometimes a ROM(like stock) doesn't get affected by this. But most custom ones will
This is a universal problems with any phone.

Nah.. it was happening on stock. Apparently I can flash custom roms if I DON'T factory wipe first. I only need to wipe cache/dalvik and BAM! now I'm running cm7 wondering if I should try and flash an ics rom now or just stay on cm7 and count my blessings lolol...
Thanks for ur time

Did you do a wipe, or did you simply update and that was it? Being code, it isn't unusual that stuff breaks when changing something, and that's what happens when you update. Maybe something weird got introduced when you updated, so you should wipe everything and start from scratch.
- Are you rooted and do you have Recovery?
- Do you have any experience with Flashtool?
Yes. I wipe and flash 4.3 to update 4.4.4 from ota. And i am rooted and i have twrp recovery.

First try with wiping cache or dalvik-cache from recovery, if this doesn't help, try to reflash rom, if again you have the same problem, contact rom developer

Hi. Thank you for your reply. Before I installed the ROM I did a wipe data/factory reset. I saw the cache option but wasn't sure weather it would delete something I didn't want it to.
I will try deleting both data wipe and cache wipe. And see how it goes.
Have reflashed ROM twice so may be cache issue
Thanks again
