Phone gets hot and battery sucks! - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys...
So thats the problem i am facing with my SG2,whenever im using the phone it becomes really hot. And battery also,i get only like 5-6 hours of on-screen usage and that sucks. I have tried many ways to callibrate it but none worked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Im running Asnet MIUI rom with philz kernel

Hot is normal because CPU be faster and that's why is hot...
google themselves say that doesn't affect battery life

So calibrating is no needed. And stock battery drains very fast I use 3500Mh... I play games with it, on about 1h and my battery is about 80%
Sorry For Bad English.

Can you provide a battery stats screenshot?

Anyone??

Search for the BetterBatteryStats thread on here. Get the app & install it. Let it run for a few hrs. Post logs/screenshots.
Pro tip - No bumping threads shortly after making them. Make a thread, wait patiently for a response.

Could You please post some screenshots of cpuspy?

Was your phone display turned off ?
If yes then program/programs use phone in deep sleep you need betterbaterystats and Look what using so much processor If you was using phone then It's normal. And you can't change nothing about battery only Dorimanx/Syiah Kernel and use Stweaks...

You made this screenshot after leaving the phone for 12 min display turned off?

Yes why not?
Screen takes the most out of the phone and if brightness is high, this would be normal ...
I get about 3½ hours screen out of a charge with mixed brightness.
How much do u use when idle (sleeping)?

Yeah man it's totally normal .!
The brightness is auto.. during sleep it takes like 10% to 20% without touching the phone

What's your battery life on stock ROM? Same?
Odoslané z GT-I9100 cez Tapatalk 2
Use CPUSpy to check if your phone goes to deep sleep when not used and since you are using Siyah use ExTweak to tweak ur Kernel frequency step and power management.

Is this the first battery cycle after you flashed it? If yes, you need to give it at least three before you judge the battery life.

By looking at the graph it clearly shows phone not being used. No display no calls, just looks like you left it on for 3 days without use

It takes at least 2 to 3 charges before the battery is calibrated properly, so wait 3-4 days before you can draw a conclusion about batterylife.
Thanks for your answer but i had wait one week!!!

Better look on CM thread then if other users have that too or maybe have a solution.
Do you have a stock or custom kernel, have automatic syncing, hoe many widgets running, do you play games, what is the screenontime, etc etc. It depends also a lot on the way of usage of the user.

Battery drain

After updating my s2 to 4.1.2. Something sucks my battery incredibly... i have power saving options ON and juice defender... i don't even used it....

Re: Baterry drain
Okay. First: you got no question but posted just a statement.. Second: how should we know what's the cause of this? There are plenty of threads about battery drain in JB, so I suggest you read them first. Good luck.

Get rid of Juice Defender for a start. That app was created purely to Hoover money from n00bs in the case of the paid versions & to lull n00bs into falsely believing the app actually makes a difference to battery life (all versions including the free one).

Screen draining battery like crazy

So I noticed this problem right when I bought the phone and went to the battery settings. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Some details: Stock 4.3 ROM, rooted and TWRP recovery.

That is perfectly normal, about 5hrs screen on time from a full battery. Screen will always be the biggest power user.
