but i've also hear that there are different batch
like FC? and B batch?
or is fhd only the 4GB version and all the other are B batch?

They change some specs on same model, for instance RAM memory but these are most important differences:
ZOPO C2 - MTK6589, thinner glass, ghost touch problem
ZOPO C2 Platinum - MTK6589Turbo, thicker glass, mostly no ghost touch, 16/32GB ROM
ZOPO C3 - Different design but pretty much same specs as C2 Platinum.
If you wanna know if yours is regular or Platinum C2, Internal storage is the clue. 16 and more GB memory is Platinum.
EDIT:
C2 platinum and C3 wont root with SP tool, at least not for me. this is what worked for me (chinese app one click root) -
Vroot: http://www.mgyun.com/UpdateLog/vroot
MTK drivers also required before root.
Marsapa rom works on all 3 devices so all roms should work, at least that is my clue

Should be the same as My C2 Platinum, just differently positioned cam.
My experience:
This phone is the beast! My C2 is slightly overclocked and it shows Antutu 17.000 which is higher than Galaxy S3 and on top of that Antutu is resolution dependent
5 inch full HD screen (overkill as human eye cant detect higher than 280PPI) but still MTK CPU drains a lot less than Quallcom phones so my phone holds whole day even longer when I don overuse it.
Design is by far the best. compensated with the fact that phone IS breakable due to lack of glass holder (glass is spot-mounted onto the case) you should consider using some protection. I do not as I take care of my phones. Note that that solution provides by far the best design as phone really looks like this when turned off:
On top of that, there are several tools you would need to make your phone ultimate:
Nova Launcher: emulates CM's Trebuchet, and is even better. consider paying for full version as it is really the best launcher (uninstall from home, and lots of functions others dont have)
Xposed netvork: XDA's own genious rovo89 made this so it enables customizing your device ANY WAY YOU WANT via modules
Gravitybox module for Xposed: advanced restart, hardware buttons assign, CM lookalike tweaks, MTK fixes ...
with these 3 tools, your phone wouldnt even need custom rom, everything is there, with Xposed you inject whatever code you need into the system. there are tons of separate Xposed functions aside from GravityBox.
With all this used, phone is ulitmate device which saves battery, acts as "top of the high end phone" and it is close to AOSP so I wouldnt really consider replacing it for One, or S4 or any other device as it can do anything now, really.

I'm mainly looking at the availability of compatable ROMs.
I don't get why there is a 980 and a C2 series.
Can someone explain that? They seem absolutely identical

ZOPO C2 is EXACTLY the same as ZP980 and dont doubt about it. The difference is that C2 initially comes with Aliyun OS developed by Alibaba group (the site that sells stuff) and ZOPO shares profit with them when selling C2 so C2 comes cheaper due to price cut from Alibaba. Shame for them that everyone installs android but good for us that is slightly cheaper.
versions, officially:
REGULARC2: ZOPO C2 first batch (black white) - 1080p, 5mpx front cam, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, MTK6589
PLATINUM: ZOPO C2 Platinum + C2 Black (same as White called Platinum) - 1080p, 8mpx front cam, 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM, MTK6589 Turbo
REGULAR980: ZP980 - 1080p, 8mpx front cam, 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM, MTK6589 (no Turbo)
TURBO980: ZP980 Turbo - 1080p, 8mpx front cam, 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM, MTK6589 Turbo
MORE RAMROM: ZP980 32 - 1080p, 8mpx front cam, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, MTK6589 Turbo
see what I did there, I gave them names
REGULARC2 and REGULAR980 are same SoC with more ROM on the 980 model
PLATINUM and TURBO980 are the same phones
MORE RAMROM packs 2GB so is the best right now from all zopo models. and they are pretty much same devices. I would use Turbo versions as my root procedure didnt work with regular C2/ZP980 instructions, and MTK6589 Turbo vorks better overall

Zopo C2 embraces Aliyun OS, boasts 5-inch 1080p display, 5MP front camera

Despite the aborted launch of Acer's Aliyun-powered phone last September, the cheeky Android-based OS is now back with a handful of new devices courtesy of some local friends, with the most notable device coming from Zopo, a notorious cloner of Samsung, HTC and LG phones. That said, it looks like the company's making a change with this seemingly good-looking C2, and for the launch price of ¥1,399 or about $230 unsubsidized, the specs will probably make Xiaomi tremble: there's a 5-inch 1080p gapless LTPS display, a MediaTek MT6589 chip (1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor with 1GB RAM and PowerVR SGX544 graphics), 4GB internal storage with microSD expansion, Yamaha audio chip, a removable 2,000mAh battery and WCDMA 850/2100 radio with HSPA+.
Furthermore, not only is there a 13-megapixel f/2.2 main camera, but there's also a staggering 5-megapixel front-facing camera on the other side -- just like the one on Oppo's Ulike 2. Oh, and these all come in an 8.5mm-thick body, too. Zopo's now accepting pre-orders for the first 5,000 C2s and will be shipping before the end of the month, so if you have an account on Tmall and don't mind being a guinea pig then go for it.

[Q] Gionee Elife S5.5 - World's Slimmest Phone?

Have you heard of Gionee Elife S5.5? They said it is the world's slimmest smartphone with the following dimensions: 145.1 x 70.2 x 5.55 mm. It also has an octa core MT6592 1.7GHz CPU, 5.0-inch FHD screen with Gorilla Glass 3, 2GB RAM, etc. Full specs here: http://www.chinaphonereview.com/gionee-elife-s5-5-worlds-slimmest-smartphone
What do you think of the phone, especially its thickness? Is it really the slimmest smartphone to date?
Indeed!
Yes it is the slimmest smartphone ever made!
Best in class and looks! SuperB design! Metal and glass. Talking about build quality? Trust me, BEST so far in contrast to any smartphone out there!
I was about to buy Samsung Galaxy S4 but then I came across this beast.
1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor! Never hangs/lags (atleast not yet).
1080p screen resolution with super AMOLED display (breathtaking!).
5MP Front camera that too wide angle (selfies at its best. ).
Every HD game runs smoothly!
Am not saying this just cause I own it. I have Samsung Note 3 too. And believe me, I like my S5.5 much more! Enough said!

[Q] CUBE U25gt2-C4W Any good?

Hi all,
What are peoples thought on the Cube U25gt2-C4W?
Specifically, it is an Android tablet, 7 inches in size with a 5 point IPS screen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.
RAM is 1GB DDR3
ROM is 8GB
Kitkat 4.4
Quad Core Cortex A7 1.3Ghz Mali 400 processor MTK8127 chip
2400mAh Lithium battery.
It also has, Bluetooth, OTG, microSD slot, HDMI, and GPS (apparantly)...
Price is about $82 (incl. delivery).
So has anyone had any experiences (good or bad, with these cheap Chinese Cube tablets)??
(Opinions on battery life particularly appreciated).
I have one of these, paid 69 USD for it. For this price it is a nice device, 18k+ antutu benchmark, has an ips screen which is good for this price.
It does get warm though if you play games like san andreas but they all work fine. battery is the weakest point, only 2400mah so not good for use outside home or car.

It's a very good device....I would like to know if I can find a better one with more hardware under 350 euros......I'm a 5" lover
Is it more common for cellphones to have 5 MP front facing camera than 2 MP nowadays? I was planning to buy a Sony Z2 which has 2 MP front facing camera, but this phone has 5 MP!

Of course there would be better specced Chinese smartphones with the same price, but what they don't have is the build quality and support of a Sony phone. I just never trust any of those cheaper alternatives.

Looks like a credible upgrade for an Xperia Acro S "bike computer". Few questions:
- will the bootloader be unlocked/unlockable like with the Xperia Zx devices it resembles?
- will unlocking the bootloader compromise any of the phone's features - camera, audio quality, etc?
- is ANT+ support baked in and switched on from day one?
- when is a stable CM12 or Omni - with working ANT+ and BT-LE support - likely to become available? (sony maybe can help by supporting devs like @deedwar)
- will this come with a guarantee of 2-3 years of quick updates like Motorola has been delivering with the Moto G/E/X devices?

not a good choise for me
This is the phone I will recommend to people for a long time (if they can't afford a Z3/Z4, obviously!)
Construction is perfect due to waterproofing (it has to be perfect for this or it wouldn't be certified)
Performance is great due to latest ARMv8 technology, Kernel 3.10 and Android 5.0 lollipop
Custom ROMs will be 100% perfect due to Sony's direct support for AOSP
You don't need to worry about 720p/1080p difference, I have 5inch devices in both resolutions and I can only see the difference if I compare them side-by-side.
it may not be the cheapest device in its class, but the waterproof is absolutely worth the premium. Now I would never use a non-waterproof phone even if you paid me, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it on my Z3.
I have never been more excited about a mid-range phone in a long time :victory:

Hi
If you're looking for an other phone under 350 euros maybe you should look at the oppo R7. A chiness phone but with very very good build quality. I think they have the same cpu, same memory, maybe the screen res. is a bit better on the oppo R7. If you don't mind of the water resistance it could be a nice phone
You can trust me I had it in my hands it's very slim with a dvery good metal finish
Hope I helped you.

Hi
If you're looking for a high end device you really should go for the M4 aqua. The M2 was good when it came out but now it's not
Also the M4 aqua seems to be more like a middle/high device, the M2 was more like a middle range smartphone
Have a nice Evening

A3 is worse than M4 Aqua in almost every single way and costs just as much. At least in my country M4 costs as much as Galaxy A3 while offering even better specs than Galaxy A5. I think it's a good offer. The only thing I don't like are the bezels.
Is there any news on a release date?
I like this phone. At my country is expensive as Galaxy A3, Alpha. But i want real test and real performance.
This will be a perfect choice for me to upgrade from my Xperia M

[Q] Doogee F3 Europa, worth it?

I have a friend who owns a DG800. He seems pretty happy with it, so I was considering getting a Doogee for myself. My choice would be this one if the price is right, how much should one pay for a phone like this once it comes out? Does anyone have experience with this brand?
Found it on a german forum.
DOOGEE’s 2015 Flagship F3 will come in 1GB to 4GB of RAM versions.
Doogee’s new high-end phone will come in during the first half of 2015, an will boast some really nice specifications MT6753 64bit, a Full HD 5 inch 2.5D display, 1GB, 2GB or even up to 4GB of RAM, there is even the possibility of a 3150mAh battery, and of course is a 4G phone. Internally, the phone will have at least 16GB of ROM.
But what catches most the eye about this phone is the design, with a really stylist metal frame and Gorilla glass in the back and front in the standard version and wood or bamboo as an option for the back.
Basic spec:
Screen: 5.0 inch, 2.5D curved glass, 1mm bezel
Resolution: could be FHD,1080P
Battery: could be 3150mAh
Camera: front 8.0mp OV, rear 13.0MP SONY IMX214 or Samsung Icosell
CPU: MT6753 LTE SoC64bit octa Cortex-A53 1.5Ghz
GPU: ARM Mali-T760
Colors: Deep Blue, White Pearl.
System: Android Lollipop 5.1, Ubuntu (still not confirmed)
Phone memory is too small, not worth buying.
