How to log button presses in android

Hey i am suspecting a hardware bug on my Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
Im writing this in the general forums since it doesnt seem to be a bug specific to the phone (no reports anywhere online) and the question itself is therefore not device specific.
So i have a hardware home button on the phone which sometimes registers two clicks instead of one.
On a 1sec press this would mean the following events:
- button down event
1sec pause
- button up event
- button down event
- button up event
So since this doesn't occur regularly and i want to somehow log presses of the home button and i dont know any way to do that in android.
Could there be an app for that?
It doesnt need to run in the background but could be for example be openend specifically to test the button.
Is there any way you can help me out?

Today I tried to enter speech recognition with my new bluetooth headset MF-button. But it always opens the S Voice app. Is there any possibility to change the standard app for speech recognition to the google one?

Click to collapse
You can disable the S voice on double tap
Open S voice then tap the menu button and in settings remove the tick from the Launch SVoice
There is a market app called Home Shortcut or something like that which allows you to select what you want the home button to do this may be what you want

Deinstalled S Voice now. But if I push the headset button on the headset it opens a window, that shows "initializing".
I also tried to replace the shortcut for double tapping the home button. Doesnt work. Still tries to open the S Voice. Even if it is uninstalled.
Maybe it is somewhere in the programing... so I have to edit the survey that starts S Voice if i double tap?!
Do you know how to do this?

Question to Android wear app coders - accessing/reprogramming the physical button?

Could someone experienced tell me if its possible to reprogram the physical button on Huawei smartwatch? Presently, default Android Wear button functions are:
Single press - wakeup/sleep watch.
Double press - disable display/theater mode.
Triple press - brightness boost.
I want to make a QUADRO press to do my function. That function I have in mind to run a fake call with vibro in the cell phone (it so annoying that all fake call apps presently can only fake call with sound, not vibration).
So, I want to to know if it possible at all to do this???
Cheers guys
