Ok try this out...check how long your original battery takes to charge....if its normal...its a problem with your extended battery....but if your original battery is slow charging....its an issue with the charger...it happened to me...hope this helps

I'd say battery I have a kinps 5500 mah battery on my s3 and it doesn't take much longer to charge

Yes I'm using the same charger. I even tried using my nexus 7 charger has well but still chargers very slowly. My original battery had a problem and could only charge to 78%. That old battery usually takes about 2hrs from 0%-78%

Thanks for the reply, I changed chargers but it did not seem to help me... I thought I was a problem because I was rooted. So I unrooted and this problem still persists... It is also inconvenient for me to change the charger because it was bought from overseas.

I solved half my problem... I found out that the problem was with my cable. Its not a Sammy cable but a Sony one. My Sammy cable had the same problem and could not charge. Therefore half of the problem is the cable... But it still takes about 10hrs to charge...

I found out that even my car charger does not work...

[Q]P500 USB charging too slow or not?

That's normal. If you charge using wall plugs its 2-3 times faster

Wouldn't suggest charging it on the computer to often though, your not charging it to its full potential

I remember from a thread it said charging via USB once in a while is beneficial to battery life..
if charged thru usb u will get long battery life. try it
the way i remember is you charge whenever possible, keeping the battery between 20% and 80%.
Charging via USB is actually a bit better because it is slower, ensuring a good charge. Wall charging is good too, but car chargers for example are not really recommended since they use a pretty high voltage, which can affect the battery. Of course CMIIW.
Yeah, I think a slower charge is better for the battery as it does not get as hot. My usb charge takes about 4-5 hrs while the wall charge takes about 2-3

How long does your Amaze take to charge?

Hi, I think I'm having problems with my amazing Amaze..it's taking just about 5 hours to do a full charge (1%/3min).
Would like to hear some feedback from you guys.
1-How long did your first/second/third charges take (approx).
2-How long does a full (from under 10%) charge currently take?
3-At what rate is your device charging (%/min)
NOTE: I am using a wall outlet and it does say on the phone that it's charging though AC charger.
Check out this thread if you're interested in knowing my issues in more detail:

Do you have an idea of how long it takes for it to increase by 1%?
Yeah, in my case...even with the phone off, it still seems to take just as long.
Cheers
Mine varies alot. If I'm not messing with it and the screen is off its 3 to 3 1/2 hours. However if I start playing a game or just messing with xda it can easily exceed 5 hours. Been thinking about trying the charger for my transformer to see if it charges any faster just haven't yet.

Which battery i should buy

I am planning to buy a new battery bcoz the one i got is not showing accurate charge and stays on 1% most of the time from the first day.If someone knows a website from where i can buy a battery that can show correct charge reading on the battery indicator plz do tell me.I would also like to know if there is a extended battery that shows the correct charge and can fit in stock battery cover.
Thanks
Have you tried fully draining that battery? I was having the same issues where my phone would hang at one percent. But after a full drain it can solve the issue. After draining try to charge it to one hundred.

I have tried that many times its not working for me and i don't think so it will work bcoz when i checked the total capacity of the battery in a root explorer charge-full-design is only showing 500 which should be 1880.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554966
Follow those instructions first then see how it acts. sounds like you just need to recalibrate
I have followed this and almost all other battery calibration tutorial threads given here but nothing worked.

The phone charges to 100 % before reaching the total mv but when i keep it on charge for more time it charges to 4200mv.Actually battery life is fine just like a normal battery the only problem is that the phone doesn't recognize it as 1880mah battery that's what i think bcoz charge-full-design is 500mah which should be 1880mah.
If you do end up buying a new battery, try and buy one from Motorola. There may be off-brand companies with low-priced one, but they most likely will not old a charge for as long as an OEM battery.
I'm not convinced the battery is at fault I think its a issue with ur current rom

I bought two Anker ones on Amazon and they came with a charger that charges them outside of the phone as well. Three batteries and an external charger and you're ready for anything. Haven't noticed that they last longer, but if you've got enough, it doesnt matter how long they last

An explanation and some evidence would be nice. Its hard to believe a claim without proof especially with the way you formatted the OP. You asked if anyone tried the charger then two posts later you claim it screwed your battery up. I'm looking forward to hearing about the issue because if its a phone issue that's different that a charger causing an issue.

Got the charger yesterday put my phone on it last night before bed. This morning wake up it is only at 85%. That's the first thing and I have seen some reviews about this one and others doing the same thing. My battery life I was getting about 16 to 18hr a day of battery life. Basically when I get home from work I am about 60 to 50 % everyday. I have been flashing roms and dealing with battery life and stuff for years. Today I did not even make it home before it was dead. Now I downloaded a battery recalibration app and I am going to try that to see if that gets my battery back the way it was. It Sucks because I was so excited to get this charger. I don't know what the deal is. I emailed the seller on eBay waiting to hear back from them. Proof? I can't screen shot my battery use cause I have charged and took it off and back on today so many times. I will tomorrow and see what happens. Guess I will just have to order a different one.
From the photographs, that charger looks identical to the Itian A6 (it's even called "A6").
I have two of the Itians and they both work perfectly (my only complaint is that they will only charge the Nexus 6 in Portrait, not in Landscape).

Mine charged in both no problems with that. Just will not charge pass 85% and my battery drains Super fast now. I took my phone off the charger this morning at 5 it is 6:57 now and my battery is at 80% usually it would be at 97%. I have about 20min of on screen time now.
Usually my battery would say 1 day and something left of battery till dead after using this charger one time now it's this

Its possible but the battery had a built in safety so it won't overheat and cause damage. I have used a qi charger every night since I bought my Nexus 6 in November and I've had 0 issues. I use a TYLT VU and or LG WCD-100 and still get excellent battery life. The only thing that I could think of is if the battery massively overheated for a long period it could result in reduced capacity but even then it's not instantaneous. A battery fixer app is worthless and won't help fix any issues with it so I wouldn't bother with one. It could be more than one thing contributing to what you are claiming and using the charger could just be a coincidence.
I'm not saying it's not possible however l am saying it's likely that there's more than one contributing factor. I would use the phone and run a battery monitoring app (check the battery life OP in the general section for more details) and see if there is anything causing it.

Yes both of them charge to 100% just fine. I own 4 quick charge 2.0 chargers and 2 qi ones and they all charge my phone to 100%. I have a dozen or so older chargers that also work but I've never had any issues with my qi chargers. Once it gets down to 97-98% it starts charging again but I always wake up with it at 100%.

I restored to a back up I had and it seems to be back on track with my normal battery life. When I get home I might play with it a little and watch it when I put it on there and see what happens. Because I have not installed nothing on my phone in at least a week. So I don't think its anything else. But we will see thanks for your help.
So generally speaking is it the charger or the phone that terminates the charging due too high temps?

I will let you know today when I get home I am going to put it on there and watch it to see.
Ok so this is the deal I tested it over and over. When my phone gets to 100% the charger cuts off. When my phone charges on the wireless charger it kills my deepsleep. So in other words once I hit 100% it rapidly starts going down. Then the charger kicks on again then off on off on. I took the phone off the charger and sat it on the table I did not touch anything. Within 10min I was at 95%. I put it back on the charger it got to 100% I took it off rebooted my phone then I got deepsleep? I don't know why it is killing my deepsleep?

Well that is typical behavior and not your phone overheating from the charging like the post you quoted. Qi chargers do not trickle charge like a USB charger so they do exactly what you're describing.

I never said my phone was overheating. I said it only charged to 85% and it broke my deepsleep. No deepsleep drains your battery fast. That's the problem. So if I put it on there at night before I go to bed (which is why I bought it) all night it will go on and off.

I don't understand. The battery was fully discharged in my phone then I put it in the cradle. 4 hours later the light turned green.
I've noticed it's pretty slow. I don't know if it's 4 hours, but it's definitely at least 3

Your phone will never truly fully discharge the battery (safety measure) it has to save enough to shut down properly. So that is part of it... I don't know if the cradle is set up to fast charge either... I doubt it, considering the phone should last longer than four hours any way. I'm happy to have a FREE extra battery, and cradle... It charges the battery, that's all I'm really looking for... I you are unhappy with it, I suppose you could send it back...

No such thing is happening. Please do not spread misinformation.
It charges slower than the phone because it does not have Quick Charge, it's a very simple charger. Label says it puts out 1.6A at 4.4V, which means the battery probably charges at about 1A on average. Charging is never 100% efficient and charging does not progress in a linear fashion, it slows down past 80% to near-trickle, otherwise the battery would overheat.
Chargers don't discharge batteries to charge them. This isn't 1990 and our battery isn't NiCad.
I just don't know why they're calling it a cradle. You're not resting your device on it. Those are cradles, this is a battery charger.
THIS is a cradle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_2&smid=A1LWHYTZATVG8I
However, this thread is otherwise interesting, I've used my battery charger for a few cycles, meh, it charges my spare battery overnight.
I know this is an older thread, but what's the experience with this cradle? I just got a used V10 on Swappa with this cradle and it does seem like it's taking a while to charge. I have no problem with how long it's taking, but I need to know if it's defective so I can do something about it on Swappa.
