I have flashed 2 Micromax HD's to the official 4.2.1. One worked fine, there was no tpu upgrade.
The second one went to a tpu upgrade screen, after which it said "upgrade firmware failed". Now the touchscreen wont work at all. Is there any fix for this, or do I need to go to a service centre?
Also can someone link me to the official 4.1.2, I'm confused as to which one is the proper official that I can flash with SP tools

As far as I know there is no fix for this, you need to go to the Service Center, but before that better you flash your device with v4.1.2 and tell them that you have just restored factory settings and now your touch panel is not working.

Can you tell me where to download the stock official 4.1.2 from?

And how long would they take to actually repair the device and get it back? Would i be liable to pay for the repair?

Nope, you won't be liable to pay anything, just tell them that you have just restore factory setting and now touch panel is not working. Regarding time ...... it depends upon service center people but I guess it should take a fortnight.

Might need a warranty repair. Mine did when my phone kept restarting. Think they replaced the motherboard.
Have u tried flashtool from the x10 development section yet? And flash the latest firmware and baseband. If u havent and want to try it, post again i will try to help
Try this first before warranty repair. It will save u money if this works

I'm having the same problem. I believe is something with the sd card. If I use the phone to dial or surf the web there's no problem, but if I start NDrive, or any game that's installed on the sd card, then the phone reboots

Here it is all install directions should be in link and all firmwares. Try on your own then I will help you if you need it with set up flashtool. Theres a howto in the link by Rendeiro2005. Look for that.

it is now not restarting that much but it is still now about 3 4 times a day on its own...anymore suggestions????
also didnt flash baseband as i was not sure of which one to do for this specific firmware please guide me on this also
I had the same issue what rom ur on? I flashed another rom and my problem got fixed you might wanna do a system repair via seus tho if you dont want an custom rom

I had the same problem. The only solution for me was a new mb. The service center comfirmed that some of their early mbs were overheating.

I hav bricked my phone while flashing the official GB v20g. It is not responding at all!!! wot should i do??
Enter emergency mode(power+vol up+back buttons) and reflash gb using this method.It should work.

Can u enter into recovery mode???
No emergency mode? Well, try with KDZ shaking your phone and if you will be lucky it will recognize your phone...
Otherwise you bricked, just like me last week
But don't worry, say to the LG officer that you were updating with the official software to gingerbread and you got an error after a couple of minutes... They believed me

Regarding this: I already sent my phone to service for other problems (including a signal one); they considered that the software was responsible for the signal problem and they applied an "intelligent" solution: reflashed the OS (which I already did few hours before I sent the phone so it already had the latest 2.3.3). Now if I brick my phone what should I tell them? I can't blame the PC Suite update because they can see in the warranty that they already flashed the latest one...
So help me with some ideas please

Hi,I updated my phone over the air when i was in unlocked bootloader.My touch became unresponsive.The soft keys alone works.In very few occassions i was able to unlock the screen.i have relocked my bootloader.I tried unbricking phone method.I flashed firmwares using flash tool and sus.Even then my issue is not solved.can any one help me out.
Updating a phone with unlocked bootloader over OTA bricks it.. Since you have unlocked bootloader there's no point in relocking it since DRM keys are lost.. ( official method ) ... Okay ... I see problem with kernel ... download official stock firmware . flash only Kernel ( Tick all exclude options except that of kernel ) also tick no final verification.. ... Then try rebooting .. If still not works then give me your phone model..

OTA didn't work for me even after locking bootloader. Anyways try repairing your phone using update service... Also after flashing kernel ... Flash the whole stock firmware with sd card removed and unlocked btloader....... What did service center authorities tell you ? Is it hardware related or software related problem ? any one can conform whether it is due to hardware or software.So that i can repalce my digitizer.

You should flash the stock boot.img to rectify that issue, if you are sure its pretty much the problem with kernel.

Maybe borrow the boot.img from someone who owns this device, or claim warranty by going into Service Center.

Then Service Center it is. Tell them, you've installed some apps, and this is what happened. :silly:
i would either reflash the stock rom first - or if nowhere to be found - flash some other rom that fits for your device. in hope that the damaged rom part gets overwritten and so repaired
I FIXED by being intelligent im going to write a new thread and guide on how to fix this

Your phone is done for because it was stressed hard enough that the Z3v is entirely different from the Z3. Better luck finding another one, since you can eBay for ones less than $200 now.

use your Sony warranty if your phones in perfect shape tell them tour screen went black.. Theres an fastboot or recovery tool I saw on xda for a z1c or a z1 that guy was trying all sort of craziness and using that tool to recover it may work or not at all I havnt tried search in xda for it good luck.

No matter what backups he did, the phone cannot restore anything if it doesn't even have the right software on it. It's a costly mistake but it's a valuable lesson to learn from.

I bootloop my phone sometimes 5 times in a day trying different stuff if ur phone boots to a boot animation its fixable. pm me
