You can not. For flashing any other kernel except stock you need unlocked bootloader.

If it works with stock kernel... In some cases custom roms work with custom kernels only, so to not brick your device be sure this rom works with stock kernel.
EDIT: after you have locked bl how will you install stock kernel with recovery?

Ok. So... no. No way.
No. But you can flash custom kernel such as rage or kamarush..
Then root it.

Hmmmm....the most easy way to root your phone (ICS) is to unlock bootloader and flash custom kernel....all custom kernel have pre-rooted and CWM....
if you want to go the harder way (refuse to unlock bootloader) then downgrade to GB, Root your phone then upgrade back to ICS....
some people use the easy way cause they can relock the bootloader if they WANT TO....
Yes they are . You can't root stock kernel . Or you can download boot extended stock kernel which is also pre rooted....

I don't think that trying CM7 on a stock GB kernel (or even stock based custom kernel) is a good idea. The rom will boot properly, no doubt about that but you will most likely get fc's.

Since you have unlocked bootloader and flashed a kernel, you might want to install a ROM.
Check this awesome thread, it lists all the ROMs...

It says to support locked and unlocked BL, so just skip the kernel installation part which you can't do with locked BL and just mount system and data before you install.
