Dead Android
I have seen this dead or sick Android splash on my Minix NEO G4. It was essentially bricked.
I has to open it up, power it on and boot while shorting two tiny solder pads. This allowed me to re-flash the system including the boot loader, using the SOC manufacturers utility, RK flash..
I found threads with pictures and specific instructions by searching. :good:

I think there is a pre-rooted version of stock ICS that you could Odin flash in the development section. Check there.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S Duos ( GT-S7562 )

Hello everyone,
I have got Samsung Galaxy S Duos ( GT- S7562 ) Android Version - 4.0.4, Kernel Version - 3.0.8 - 1102401
Purchased on 11-1-2013, from INDIA, so first i installed many app on mobile internal storage, than i thought it might slow down my phone, than i went on searching for moving app to SD, i came around rooting the phone, i rooted it, YELLOW TRIANGLE came around, i don't know how to remove it, that i unrooted the phone, went on updating the firmware, it did not work, it says " fail to verify whole file signature " " Signature verification failed ".
My questions are very simple
1) How to remove YELLOW TRIANGLE, Does it affect my phone in any ways ?
2) I am not able to update my firmware to JELLY BEAN now as it could have had if i had not done any rooting ! so what should i do now ?
3) How to move app to sd ? or is it possible, if i update my firmware to JELLY BEAN, i would not need to worry about finding external help for moving app to sd, by that i mean, do JELLY BEAN gives users inbuilt privilege for moving app to sd ?
Thank You So Much For Your Concern, looking forward for the solution ... !
Hey there!
My brother has an S Duos as well. It is a great device except for its inability to move apps to SD natively. You can find the method to remove the yellow triangle here in the forums or even in Google. It's called Triangle Away. You should probably wait for another 4 months to receive official jelly bean from Samsung. Hope this helps! Hit thanks of it did!

Thnx buddy,
But after rooting it, i also unrooted it ... and than i went to update the firmware from the phone itself, which is given in settings -> About device -> Software update ... so if you said that JELLY BEAN would take 4 months ... what is the use of the this software update means ? ... but thats not my question is ... what i want to know is why it FAILED TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE ? is it because i rooted the phone ? or is there any way to update the phone, even if you have had rooted it ?
Basically i am not at all aware about engineering the software or even the hardware, so if you can help me out here ...

How To Remove Yellow Triangle
Hello people,
First of all i have resolved my own question, which i posted before, which was, removing the yellow triangle !
but i did not found any solution through post ...
but eventually i found the answer
it was very simple, you just need to put "stock recovery.tar instead of recovery.tar, in odin pda slot" so it would completely remove the rooted firmware and takes you back to original firmware & yellow triangle disappears ... yahoo ...
hope this would help people like myself ... who are very much new to all this
hope this helps ...

BUMP. Anybody here please help?
Freaktab has a dev that's been working on the amlogic nextbook and has a slightly modded stock dump in zip format that might work. Depending on the build date of your tab wifi might not work properly.
(was on my phone earlier... a little hard to find and post links from there)
I can't remember if directly linking another forum from here is acceptable or not... so for now this is the best I can offer.
This is a link to a forum Shaunmt starting here at xda for the 8P12 tablet from Nextbook for root and rom, if you do a little digging around at Freaktab from the link he provided you should find the direct link to the root and rom page for the 7P12 tablet.

Thanks so much!! I have successfully rooted my asus-ME172V-WW_user_4.5.4.52875837_20140520 (latest firmware). I was just wondering if the custom AMPC rom would also be updated to support this firmware. But yet again thanks for your hard work.

For now no.
But maybe in the future when I have time again. since its a long process (Asus have changed the system a lot)
I would just use Xposed framework (make sure to read up on it before use)

Yeah, managed to get Xposed Framework to work fine(nice tweaks and all).
But just asking, would the custom rom affect the performance of the tablet in any way?? Cuz its kinna laggy and after all, its a single core processor. XD
its safe root me172v
well it's safe root this tablet?
What link do I use
Hi I'm new to rooting and xda, and I wanted to know which link is for the latest firmware.
Stuck at loading when trying to root newest firmware
I was elated to find out that you have released an update to the root util of the newest firmware, however, after restarting the phone with all the correct files, it hangs on loading at start up. I read another person's reply that he had successfully rooted the newest firmware with the Me172vRootUtil_v0.3 package.
Is there any additional risk involved in rooting with that package or should I wait for a fix to the newest root toolkit instead?
Bricked`?
Hi gyes..
I did just buy a Asus Memo Pad used real cheap.
And i did it becouse it looked bricked and wanted to see if i could unbrick it.
I have been reading here and there and im wondering.
Do i have to use an micro SD card?
Can i use a regular micro USB to connect to computer?
And is there a way after you see the pictures i have posted if it is in any way possible to unbrick it?
If not. then hey. i lost alitle bit money.
If yes. can you please guide me to the correct tread (if you know it)?
The picture with the asus logo is what it looks like in startup.
After a long while the other picture is how the screen looks like.
Edit.
I fixed it.
I found a restore and did put it on a SD card. Then everything went splendid.
After i wanted to try to install a new recovery on it. So i did the steps required to install a new one.
But under bootload the computer did not see the tablet. So im stuck at bootloader right now.
So if anyone know how to get out of it. PLEASE share.
I will uppdate this post ion how things go along.
Is it possible to use the 8GB dumps on a 16GB model? Will it break?
Kitkat support
Hi I'm thinking of buying this tablet, was wondering what is the latest Android version for the tablet? Is it 4.1 Jellybean?
HELP!!!
I bought my first android tablet and its a me172v 16gb but it has no basic apps, not even google play store. It has a lot of test apps like battery testsuite and touch test. The build says asus-ME172V_WW_eng-4.5.4.12334547_20130205 test-keys. I have been searching all day but do not know how to just restore this to default factory version or anything that will provide me with google play store.. PLEASE someone help me or point me in the right direction.
Heyy Crazykiddo, sorry to bother you. Ive been really keen when the AMPC Rom would be updated to support the new firmware. Ive been checking the thread frequently and just so if you happen to want to update it, please keep me posted. Youre the only guy i know who has done the root for this device. Im pretty attached to this device, haha
My Asus MeMo Pad 7 (ME172V) turns on by itself, very annoying
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this Android thing, I'm more of an iPad guy but I thought I could give this little thing a try in order to get more up close and personal with an Android tablet. I got that thing from a friend, and he said that it works fine but there is a catch. Whenever the thing is sleeping, it will wake up all of a sudden for no reason at all, then go back to sleep after 10 seconds, then eventually wake again, and so on. When the tablet is connected to a wall outlet or a USB port, it won't wake up like this.
Do you guys have a suggestion? This is driving me nuts.

[Q] Any Custom Recovery For The All Winner A33 Tablet Devices???

Hi There! I Have An Allwinner A33 SoC Tablet, Named Onda V702 And Its Quad Core With Android 4.4.2.I Managed To Get This Device Rooted By VROOT,But Cant Able To Find A Suitable CWM For This Device.I Have Bricked My Devices Many Times For This Things. But Everytime I Survive Because Of Phoenix Bios Utility And The Stock Firmware. So My Ques Is Is There Any Member Who Is Running CWM Successfully On A33 Or The Same Device? Will Be Very Helpful If Someone Can Help!
Thanks!!!
Bro i've bricked my v702 quad core tab...can you help me to tell how i can fix it... thanks in advance
Dont Worry!!! Unbricking This Tab Is Not A Difficult Task!!!
At First Google : 'Onda V702Quad Core 4.4.2 ChineseGadget' And Then Download The Firmware From That Blog.....I Am Unable To Post Out Link Because Of XDA Rules!!! Then You Will Have To Google And Download: Phoenix Bios Flasher 1.0.6 Because it Is Mandatory For Bricked Devices!!!
Flasher,Firmware,Root TUT,CWM Are Not Easily Available For These Devices.I Will Gradually Upload All Stuff For This Tab In My Google Drive And Share For Public When I Gathered All.
The Phoenix BIOS Flasher Worked Well In My Win 8 After Restarting It In Disabled 3rd Party Signature Check......But If You Run Win 7 Or XP Or Linux Or Mac,Then It Should Work Fine! But Use This At Your Own Risk And Dont Responsible Me For Any Mess You Done Though You Already Bricked It!
Thanks!!!
Hi there,
Ive got the same tablet and i stuffed mine with rooting and deleting accidentally the systemui.apk, reuploading one that isnt compatible and now its showing "android.keyguard stopped" so i cant access anything. If i could turn on usb debug i could access the file system via a pc, but that is not possible. Id like to go into recovery mode, but all versions of power + volume button do not work. Have you got any idea on how those tablets go into recovery mode? Or any other idea on how to fix this up? Its so simple by just removing one file that i put into the priv-apps folser :-/
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks a lot

1st of all,i can help you by uploading my systemui.apk and com.keyguard.apk.......then its up to you how you will pass this files like by ADB or from a 3rd party file manager.
2nd,I am also having issue on going to recovery mode.thats why i now use xposed module to reboot into recovery......but i think pressing vol+ and power button together for minimum 10 sec successfully lead our tab into recovery.all the chemistry is hidden under the switch pressing method.......some said to 1st press the power button, when the display lights up,then keep pressing the vol+ button until the recovery appears! but it didnt work for me! the method which work for me is pressing both keys together assuring the tab is fully turned off....but its not always successfull!!!So Try Yourself!!! And If Anyone CAn Compile A Recovery And Test it successfully Then Please Share With Us!!
Hellppp

I have the Tagital T10 which has the A33 Quad core Mali-400MP but it is bricked! I can't get past the Tagital screen to get into recovery mode.. I keep trying different combos of key press etc. I'm having issues find the specific Phoenix Bios Flasher recommended above I see a 1.0.56 would this work? Also do you think the Onda V702Quad Core 4.4.2 firmware would work for this tablet too.. it's all chinese ware.. My boyfriend is libel to kill me for bricking this thing, he just got it for me a week ago LOL
1st Of All,The Phoenix BIOS Flasher Is Used To Flash The Allwinner Soc's Devices & Any Version Should Work Perfectly But Go With The Latest One ...So You Will Have to Use That To unbrick Your One! But Though Its All The Same Chinese Things,You Shouldnt Flash Onda V702 Firmware On Your One,Because Onda Is A Well Known Tablet PC Manufacturer Around The World,So Its Simple They Can Use Different Mount Point,If They Do,Then Your Device Will Surely Not Boot Anyway....So You Should Better The Firmware Of Your Specific Model.....Search Google For That...Hope U Get Your Answer !

No I actually posted in the wrong forum... I apologize. For a month I was looking for an image file to flash onto my daughters cheap iRulu x7 tablet. When I finally found one (late night) I tried to post the links everywhere I could so people would not have the trouble I did in finding the resources. I meant to delete the ones that did not apply. I actually made a link to my drive that is working a lot better. You know what I have a link to an a33 twrp recovery. I'll pm you because I'm not sure that the IMG is good and I don't want to spread foul $hit and make ppls life harder.
