And if I forgot to list you, I owe you a beer If it wasn't for their dedication roms like this wouldn't be a possibilty.
Installation
You have to have been on offical stock OTA 4.1.2 or LGNPST
Do a backup
Wipe: data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik (opt. wipe system and internal sd)
Flash Beanstalk
Flash GApps http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
wipe cache and dalvik again before rebooting system
reboot
Bugs!
Since this ROM is built using Teamlgog's device, vendor, and kernel source the same bugs that are found on shel's cm10.1 will more than likely be found here. Ex. USB tethering is not working at the moment.
No more call bug
EDIT: USB Tethering is fixed!!
All builds prior to the 7/26 milestone 1b release may or may not have the Xposed Installer soft reboot boot loop bug ((((ONLY USE REBOOT))). Thanks to dandrumheller for catching this.
Source Used!
https://github.com/TeamLGOG
https://github.com/scotthartbti
Optional Kernels
The ROM is built using TeamLGOG's geem kernel which is a simple but stable kernel. If you want more control and options I would recommend using these kernels, remember all credit goes to the devs of these kernels.
Smoocha kernel- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242175 by chadouming.
OCed AOSP kernel - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240862 by MysteryEmotionz.
Important Information!! Please Read!!
I'm in no shape or form a programmer and all bugs that you encounter will more than likely be fixed by those that are. I will however try my best to make it an enjoyable and up to date experience and try to update this rom on a regular basis when bug fixes are released. All donations should go to the real devs, I'm just a noob that got lucky building lol! Also I am not responsible for any damage to your phone.........like any other rom, flash and play at your own risk!!!!

Change Log
Beanstalk 4.3.05 8/23 Update
Here is a new update for you guys, everything that applied in the last release with xposed still applies here. Either flash the superSU zip or the xposed installer zip to get xposed to work. The main difference will be a updated kernel thanks to dvhexer for his awesome work on bringing the faux123 kernel to our device and having it run so smooooth. Other than it's pretty much cm-10.2 updates and bug fixes.
Download link here: http://d-h.st/B2l
Change Log Beanstalk 4.3.05
Screen on for MMS/SMS
HALO overhaul.. looks similar, but code has been updated... again. (thanks pa)
Optimized images (thanks vanir)
Option for floating quicksetting windows
Optional encryption password sync
Enhancements for app ops
updated BS battery icons.. looks crisper (Thanks skyliner)
Fixed blacklist support
Crazy amount of fixes/improvements/cleanup build wide.
Tested that it boots but not much more than that, which was stated in my previous post from last night, on my way out for work so have fun!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TEST BUILD 8/19
This is a test build which seems to have fixed the need for flashing superSU, also this release is based on another cm10.2 branch and kernel from dvhexer (kernel is completely stock with no underclocked freqs or lcd color control). This release doesn't need the hybrid modem to get the carrier label to show AT&T and not maritime, the camera seems to be a little more stable and doesn't freeze(auto focus still needs some work).
download link: http://d-h.st/Xk3
I will more than likely revert kernels in the next release but for now this what it's going to be, it's late and I need sleep lol! enjoy and be sure to post your bugs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.3 is here!!!!!!
for those out there that wanna do a little testing here is beanstalk 4.3/ android 4.3!!
this rom is using dvhexer's device, vendor, and kernel tree along with scott.hart.bti's beanstalk so all cred goes to them!
there will be bugs since this 4.3 so don't expect fully bug free this soon in the game, if you want stable stick with 7/26
Now thats over with lets get to the good stuff and the important to know stuff:
1---superSU zip is needed for the rom to work properly like some 4.3 roms out there, zip can be found here
2---- camera can be a little funky at times but from what i've seen it can be solved with the hybrid modem which i'll let you guys do your own search and judgement on.
3---- use these gapps which is recommended by beanstalk dev.
4----- the rom(almost forgot must be the vodka and beer lol!!!!) beanstalk 4.3!!!!!
this should truely be considered a alpha/benchmark release so don't expect excellence just yet, but do feel free to test it out
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM10.1 builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!"

Quote from the creator of this ROM
"***Please keep in mind that this is the initial release and bugs are to be expected. I am working on this myself and do not have a team that is helping me. Before reporting bugs, please make sure you verify everything on your end and make sure you do a full wipe and format first to make sure it is a legitimate issue. Im going to say this once and only once... I am doing this for fun. It is my CHOICE to share my work with everyone. If you decide that you do not like my work, good for you.. Move on and flash something else. I will not tolerate ungrateful people in my thread.***"

honestly never knew that doing "repo sync -c" would help it go faster
i need to get back to building that kernel, but that'll have to wait a little bit more, finals are coming up
I meant
Code:
repo sync -c
syncs the current branch which is most likely the newest one and saves space and time.

just installed smooth, loving the options and recents menu! nice work:good: tried several different kernels check and none seem to boot (like to have slight overclocking) tried both aosp based and cm based
--after the other roms failing i flashed the original kernel back to rom and wouldnt boot after getting into recovery i got a message saying please enter password (twrp) ive got this before but this time it wouldnt go away at all..ended up having to wipe back to jellbean using lgnpst after exhausting all other options

I have only tried MiZrYs AK 2.0 kernel and it's been working for me all morning. I'm sorry you had to go all the way back to stock. Give the AK kernel a try if you are looking for a different kernel.

Tried this ROM first thing this morning but restored my AOSP 4.4.2 backup after about 10 minutes. The ROM looks great but everything is way too small for me (reminds me of Slim ROMs). I didn't have time to edit the density so I reverted back for now. If it does not exist already in your ROM, is it possible to include a toggle of some sort to change to stock e970 density?

I'll talk with the developer and see if that can be done. I personally used an app from the play store after flashing and changed mine to the stock 320.

I will be adding the option to change the density on the fly hopefully in the next release.. I was going to add gesture anywhere first but I'll look into that instead... @johnwayne007 if you feel its necessary feel free to edit buildprop to stock in the zip label it and release it in the op for the people who like that density..its up to you tho ..
Sorry to hear that you reverted back to your old ROM due to something as simple as a density you didn't like but if you only spent 10 min on it you didn't even scratch the surface of this beast so I understand ... Hope you'll be back bud.

No doubt, I will try it when I get home. :good:
Normally if I have the time I would change it, but I UAT software for a living and we are very busy at work right now. Restoring my backup was quicker than messing with Titanium backup and getting my settings where I like them.

What was it formated as to start with? I have been using outdated fat32 on my 32gb card just for compatibility sake. Which has worked fine, within the limits of that file system.

Strange i'll have to find a SD card laying around and format with the computer to exfat and see if I can get it act like that.

I tried and couldn't duplicate the same problem, maybe its just your specific SDcard and the rom not working well together.

Bug Reports:
Reporting bugs is important But reporting them properly is KEY.
If you think youve came across something that is not working as desired [bug] folow these steps to report.
1. RE-flash your rom cleanly and do not install gapps or restore anything. This will confirm the bug is in the rom and not a compatibility issue with your data or chosen gapps.
2. A logcat is very important for me to trouble shoot the bug ..
3 pull a logcat by connecting your device to the computer and open terminal then type adb logcat hit enter.
4 navigate to your bug and recreate it while connected and watch for a fatal exception.
5 copy the text apd use paste bin to share it with me.. after youve saved it copy the link and post it in the thread. Please ensure youve captured the fatal exception in the paste otherwise it will do no good.
one more reservation
you need to get source up asap

is kernel CM based then? might try this ROM soon
I had no reboots when I was testing this. I only got one after flashing a custom kernel. Which was an AOSP kernel, not CM. n3o's kernel. V20 for AOSP. It did boot though. I'll pull the boot.img from the ROM and test some more.
@Cruzfire @trustinhate what were you guys doing when you had reboots? Actively using the phone or was it just sitting? I played around with all of the settings, configured ROM to my liking and restored 150+ apps from a backup without facing a single one. Did you guys happen to grab logs or no?

For now, use Gapps minimal. I personally use Banks right now.
I haven't had time to test TeamOctOS's gapps packages on the LG.
Known Issues:
There are two theme engines built in, "Themer" the new CM theme is not fully implemented, and as of now is NOT to be used. Regular TMobile theme engine is fully implemented and works great.
Second known issue: Device Tunables "Advanced" menu will force close for now as we implement Geeb device specific settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM dev that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't (or don't want), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Octo-Kat

While we are certainly not requiring donations or money. But donations of money or devices will certainly speed along development. We plan to purchase and build 3 identical servers to be able to handle the work load of building our ROMs. Hosting, Electricity, and Parts alone are out of pocket at this point. But we love what we do. So, if you feel led to send us a device(even old ones you've moved on from, or new ones) or small donations towards our server project we'd be extremely appreciative. Contact @Dubbsy for device donations. He will make sure they get to each team member as needed. Thanks to all the users who make it feel like we are doing something that people enjoy!

I think it's earlier trwp versions with the problem. I figured it was because the ROM downloaded correctly...I was on 2.6.3.0when I flashed OctOS the first time. That's when I received that error. I headed over to brothaedhung's PAC thread and used his 2.7 recovery. The ROM flashed w/o a problem

I used BrothaEdHung's TWRP 2.7 and the rom flashed flawlessly.
However, I did run in to some other issues.
Tentacles\Device Tunables\Advanced FC's consistently.
Every so often, my navigation buttons, both cap keys & navbar, would stop responding. The only wy to resolve this was to reboot. I apologize for my lack of log, but I already wiped & restored to my old rom.
In the form he tells you that tumbles/ advanced fc they are try to work on a fix have hope in the dev

I can confirm the cap keys and navbar keys sometimes not working. The reboot fixes it

Unless I cannot find it Quick Unlock is missing from this ROM, I use a PIN number to unlock the phone and having to click the enter button gets very annoying. I was trying to avoid installing Xposed/Gravity Box, but it is not a big deal.

"Tentacles\Device Tunables\Advanced FC's consistently." is a known issue as mentioned in the op.
cap keys and navbar problem I personally haven't seen in nearly 2 weeks of using this build.
ROM is working fine but my phone isn't connecting to PC
I'm having an issue where my clock keeps disappearing from the status bar. Any ideas?

Sorry I haven't seen that.
Are you running any extra tweak things like xposed?
I'm going to get a new build out this weekend. Works super busy and barely have any time.

Windows or Linux?
If windows, verified that device manager is seeing your device as adb?
If linux, would be weird, always works in linux for me.

Yeah I'm running batterystats permission in xposed. It actually stopped happening though so that's cool.
That's awesome I look forward to the update. Thank you so much for your work.
Wonderful ROM. Pretty stable and battery efficient. Thank you.
But I found a bug where bluetooth connection drops as the screen goes off during a phone call. It reconnects if I turn the screen back on.
Also, somehow, google maps navigation didnt stream the sound over bluetooth after a bluetooth phone call. I had to disconnect and reconnect it to have it play sound over bluetooth.
Thank you again for this wonderful rom. Hope you could fix them in the future.

Here is the link to 5.0050 for those who want to try it! Boot animation is a current problem with Beanstalk roms. The boot animation will not show up and the screen will remain black (but backlit) and shouldn't take no longer than ~10 minutes to boot.

I'm not using this rom, so support will be very limited. I will continue to update it though for those who still need it.

@Vampir1c quick note, phone booted up fine but... it won't get any signal or WIFI on JB modem or some of the hybrid modems, right now it only worked with:
*CWM-radio-mako-MAR04-2013-JVP15L-Factory-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1700.27.zip (modem) got wifi & signal & toggles working with it.
*I'm with NET10 but they use AT&T towers, don't know if someone with an AT&T carrier will experience this issue. but just thought you should know
*i'm also using Neighboorhood hacker's kernel on this build. (10-25) kernel.
*flashed via philz latest recovery (6.44.0)
*will hit you back once i get perfomance & battery a try loving the ROM so far :') :highfive:
Downloading. Will post results later on today. Quick question, what kernel are you using as default? Is it GEEB or GProj?
Thank you so much for getting us a new beanstalk build. Should have time Sunday to switch and give this a shot. Really looking forward to it.

Thanks for this! I am using this with a mako hybrid radio I believe (flashed it ages ago to work with T-Mobile) I'm not sure how I would go about fixing this for other radios. If anyone else reports this issue I will recommend the radio you're using in the main post.

Sorry dude Fail, fail, and fail....no go bro. I really want this basic feature to work correctly. Are you using this ROM?
Hey man, I've been using this rom since I posted it and no problems with messaging. I don't use Netflix so I'm not sure if it's only you facing it. Did you dirty flash this rom, or is it a clean flash?

First of all I ment no disrespect...I was giving feedback on a well constructed ROM. Just trying to help with what I have experienced.
Yes it is dirty flashed from BeanStalk-4.4.270 03/18/14
Your install instruction state :
"Download Rom
Download latest GAPPS (I used Banks 4.4.4 6-19 without any issues)
Copy to SD Card
Flash Beanstalk zip, then GAPPS using your favorite recovery (I flashed it using TWRP without any issues

Sorry did I do something wrong?
As to the Netflix problem we who have been using Beanstalk on our e970's have had to implement a 2.0.2 apk work around for one reason or another.
It appears. That your ROM in its current kernal state will need this same work around as well.
Oh no man, I didn't think you were disrespectful at all. Also I would recommend doing a clean flash as if I recall correctly the version of Android on that Beanstalk release was 4.4.2 where this one is 4.4.4.

Does it has theme option like cm rom? Like we do change themes of our choice in cm.
And any issue with this rom.

I haven't run into any issues using this rom. Have been running it daily since I posted it here. Also, it has the CM theme chooser, but the older one, not the new one that they've recently been working on.
New build (4.4.4007) uploaded guys. Enjoy!

Clean installed it twice. Almost every app "stopped unexpectedly". Going to restore nandriod. ROM looks good otherwise.
Hmm what did you use to flash it, twrp or cwm? Also are you using Art?
