Hello guys,
today i tried to flash back thunderg recovery, so i downloaded the 2.2.1 .img version and zipped it, then i followed the following procedure
# mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
# cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
# chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
# mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak
# mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
# flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-1.1.0.img
# reboot recovery

now when i boot i get a blank screen with the following message:
fastbod mode started
udc_start()
-- suspend --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
Do you guys know if there is a chance to fix this or i have to send it to lg support?
EDIT: I just remembered about a program called KDZ, I will try to download the latest .kdz update and flash it through windows, if the program will recognize my phone ofc.. (hopefully)..
use kdz and reflash your phone with an original rom and u'll be ok

i obviously changed this line with the name of my .zip, it was like the same, just with 2.2.1 instead of 1.1.0 :/
ok but u have to use the name of the .img inside the zip
and why don't u use the original zips like thunderg 1.1
and afther that upgrade thunderg to 2.2.1
phone was not found...

It did not work now, as KDZ Updater could not find my phone..
I guess this is a problem with the drivers and the SDK, at least I HOPE SO.. as i don't have SDK installed on this pc but only LG suite.
So i'll try to repeat the procedure once I'll be @ home on my desktop

Yes, probably it is problem of driver. You need to have drivers installed. Also sometime is "shaking" and some other stupid task to get it working. I know, it sounds like joke, but I have this "steps" confirmed more than once.

truely this guide was my saviour too when i bricked my phone just follow the instruction mention by error carefully
ok I managed to install 2.2.2 lg update through the emergency mode, so my phone is now operating at its full potential .. oh well, not yet, i'll have to flash a rom again

Coz they don't have recovery on phone and don't know install it, so they choose an easy way.

I made this thread because i thought the other threads are a bit scattered all over the Lg optimus forums which is a bit obsecure.
So here I set up the steps! Good luck!
NOTE: THIS IS AN OLD THREAD, THE METHOD USED HERE MIGHT NOT WORK ANYMORE. IF YOU CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THIS TUTORIAL MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO FIX THINGS WHEN YOU ****ED UP, NEITHER WILL I REPLY TO ANY QUESTIONS ASKED SINCE I DON'T HAVE THE DEVICE ANYMORE
Before doing any of these things: MAKE A BACKUP!
ROOTING
First, What is rooting? (for noobs)
For rooting the L5 you need the following things: "IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk" & a root package provided by XxXKINGMAKXxX (Attatched below)
1) go to system settings --> developer options --> turn USB debugging ON
Then, go to system settings --> Security --> allow unknown sources
2) Install SystemBackupTest.apk with a file manager then, open the app and reboot - the app should be kept open while rebooting !important!
when the phone is completely rebooted, change your mobile connection mode to “Charge Only Mode”, then reconnect the cable.
4) Run root.bat from the root package, your phone will reboot and it will be rooted!
UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER
For all E617g owners, go to thishttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2392762 thread.
You need to install bootloader if you want to continue with the next steps.
Its very important to choose the right unlock file, else you will get bootloops!
5) if you got E610/E612g, download emmc_appsboot for E610
if you got E612, download emmc_appsboot for E612
if you got E615, download emmc_appsboot for E615
next, install terminal emulator from google play unrar &
copy emmc_appsboot.bin to your internal SD card.
then, open up terminal emulator and type in:
su
[*] dd if=/sdcard/emmc_appsboot.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5
[*] reboot
INSTALLING CLOCK WORK MOD
6) Download "recovery.img" and copy it to your internal SD card.
(there is a special recovery img for the E615 - look in the attatchments)
7) Type in terminal emulator:
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17 of=/sdcard/recovery-backup.img (optional - makes a back-up)
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17
reboot recovery
If you did everything good your phone will now reboot in CWM!
If you want to go into CWM any other time: turn off your phone then, press volume down + power, when the menu lights pop up press home button for 2 seconds and you will see CWM.
ROMS
This isn't difficult at all, just download some roms (given below) and drag and drop the zip file into your external/internal sd card.
Before flashing a custom rom do a factory reset trough cwm!
Go into CWM and go to the folder where you placed your custom rom. You can navigate with the volume buttons and the power button(=enter).
Some Roms for LG optimus L5:
!Note! if you want to flash a jellybean (android 4.1.2) rom you need to flash v20 baseband first!!!

my lg optimus l5 E612 keeps rebooting itself after the media scan. i have tried to wipe the cache, the dalvik cache and a factory reset in CWM but still kept rebooting how can i fix it?? and also the software version is v10d-nov-16-2012

Regarding E612G/E612F
For everyone with E612G/E612F/E610V/E610GO, these aren't compatible with CWM/bootloader, so no CWM means no custom ROMS. You can only root your phone and thats it!

Yeah true but some people reported bootloops after unlocking bootloader... But for some people it works so, i dont know ....

You shouldnt have flashed v20 if you want cm10, also if you want to install a new rom first delete /system, /data and media /dalvik /cache, just wipe everyting from your phone then install cm10(.1).

I would like to suggest updating cwm to a newer version and avoiding the cwm v. 6.0.2.8. Look up for another newer. Recently, some of us we had problems with that version.
is there no tool like the AIO -ToolKit to just override everything for the 610? other than kdz. something that does work when the mpt driver fails to install?

I know that this is an incredibly old post, more than 6 years since the last OP edition. But, I still have my old LG Optimus LG E610 with ICS Stock ROM, in a very good shape, so I will try this just for the pleasure of doing it and play around.

A: How To Root LG G2 easiest.
- Download the latest version VROOT Tại Đây
- After downloading and installing it on the computer as usual, we installed VRoot boot up.
- Phone us on About phone -> Soflware information -> Build number.
- Click the Build number 5 times in a row and come back quickly installed.
- Now add the Developer installation options.
- On Developer USB debugging options of the box and cable theft on the computer.
- Now it will Vroot loading .... for 30 seconds and then pops up the word root, then we click on it. Now plug the phone cable is what it is just OK.
- After you get the Superuser root in Chinese, you download the following file to flash via recovery Tải Về Before you flash it to remove the old Superuser okay go ahead.
- Want to flash via recovery is then read more below to install the recovery.
B: How to Install Recovery for LG G2 easiest.
- Tải Recovery Về.
- First, download the file named F320LSK.zip of CWM. Unzip the file will be "recovery.lok" and "g2_security" then we copy 2 files to the internal memory of the LG G2.
- You install the file "TerminalEmulator.apk" into the machine as normal G2 okay. After installation is finished, we open it up and type the following commands, respectively.

after install custom rom (4.4.2) on my F320L i get secure boot error message then I instal kdz by lg tool but now i cant get into recovery just black screen and i can not install root by ioroot and vroot methods pls help me

Flashing a kdz relocks the bootloader.
You can also relock the bootloader by flashing an unmodified about.img for your model.

I'm having an LG phone for the first time. Other androids i had (mostly samsung and sony) i was able to unlock quite easy finding online tutorials but with this one i'm stuck cause i don't seem to be able to find any help on google or here on xda.
Any info would be very appreciated

Install the software LG UP, full driver as Uprom
The necessary files: rom.kdz (here is the v6.0).Copy file to phone memory system1.img (phone memory - the root not in any folder at all). Connect to a computer g4.n LGUP select upgrade (selected refurbish but also in case of withdrawal cable will not be reformatted g4 kip then have to start again). Wait for the machine reboot wait until the COM port appears on g4 (xx) - depending on plant- then immediately withdraw cable from the computer or g4. Off LGUP then plug the computer cable. CMD CMD enabled in folder attached below. Type the command as in the guide "Send_Command.exe \\. \ COMxx" (replaced by Section xx COM port number appears on g4). Appears the "#" type in the command "Print" (to appear 1 series statement form (0) (0) (0) ... (like that). Some computer users when typing win 7 "ip" will not appear at all when it shut down CMD, run it again and type the command would be. After the command "dd if=/data/media/0/system1.img bs=8192 seek=55296 count=529920 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0" wait until they appear flashing "#" followed LEAVE typing (without appliance ).
Remove the battery cable pulled reboot and achievements

As far as installation procedure is concerned, I have read it many times, but could not understand it exactly. If i have not miss understood, the procedure should be like that
Step 1. Upgrade/downgrade to MM v20C (if it is not already installed) through LGUP!
Step 2. inject the system image as we used to do for rooting LP!

I triend injecting it like root procedure for LP. I have no luck, getting error when i send the "Print" and "dd if=/data/media/0/system1.img bs=8192 seek=55296 count=529920 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0" command
