This is a cut down version of the original Gingerbread AuroraPlay ROM located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124442
Whilst keeping as much funcationality from the original ROM as possible, I have reduced the SYSTEM footprint by half and increased the amount of free resources left for the user after boot. Whilst the majority of the functions from the original ROM are still there, there have been the odd one or two things removed. A list of the main features is as follows.
Xperia Z Themed With a 'Personal' Feel
After initial boot/install, ROM boots in around 2 - 3 seconds
Plenty of free RAM - Over 300MB!
Tweaked for increased performance (3G/Graphics/Sound/CPU)
Multi-boot Aware Installation
ICS Keyboard
Init.d Support
CWM Ready
Compatible with Turbo Kernel
Compatible with Lupus GB Kernel
Compatible with Lupus Stock ICS/GB Kernel
Compatible with DoomKernel
Mobile Bravia Engine
Sony X-Loud
Other Sound Boosters/Tweaks
Swipe-to-Remove Notifications
Loads more... (Check Changelogs from original AuroraPlay ROM)
Specific functionality removed from Original ROM consists of the NXT Lockscreen (Lockscreen Music Controls) and the AdrenoBooster Mod.

Unlocked Bootloaders
Perform a Nandroid backup of your current ROM
Install firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 Enhanced from the downloads section below. (Only required if you don't already have it installed - This is used to get the right baseband and 420mb DATA partition.)
Install DoomLord's V14 DoomKernel (See download section below) - the LuPuS GB Kernel is also compatible, and in some cases better than the DoomKernel.
Perform factory reset (wipe Data/Cache) - If you had a GB ROM installed previous, you MIGHT not have to do this. However if the ROM isn't working right after install, it is recommended you perform a reinstall & factory reset.
Format System (Mounts & Storage in ClockWorkMod)
Flash ROM from the downloads section below
Install DoomKernel's V14 Wifi Modules (Link in downloads section)
After initial boot, perform an additional reboot to ensure everything is settled

Mods to increase free RAM/Testing Bay
AuroraPlayLE_Mod_-_Aggressive_Minfree_Values.zip - This will change the Minfree values of your device, enabling the killing of applications that are unused as early as possible, ensuring as much RAM is free as possible at all times.
Code:
1536,3072,4096,24576,32768,49152 > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree
Edit: The old ZIP unfortunately had a build.prop in it from the old AuroraPlay ROM... No idea how that got in there! If you flashed it, chances are you're apparently running AuroraPlay v1.1.0! Shouldn't be too much of a problem, however a quick reflash of the ROM would be recommended. The ZIP has been updated and the Build.prop removed. Sorry! :silly:
AuroraPlayLE_Mod_-_AuroraInitD__System_SwapON_Test.zip - This is in the VERY early stages of testing! - The main function of this MOD is to create and activate a swapfile on the SYSTEM partition to be used as a sort of 'RAM'.
This will NOT be included as default into the ROM at any time. The use of a swapfile on NAND or on your SDCard means almost constantly writing to either device - this will reduce the lifespan of your NAND or SDCard.
Currently, the ZIP will create a swapfile on your SDCard and activate it. It is not currently setup to create one on your NAND flash. Whilst this can just as easily be done, unfortunately it doesn't appear to be supported by our Kernel. (From looking on teh intarwebs)
You can successfully create and setup the swapfile on the SYSTEM or DATA partitions, however you cannot activate it. See below.
Code:
/system/xbin/busybox dd if=/dev/zero of=/system/swapfile bs=1M count=128
128+0 records in
128+0 records out
134217728 bytes (128.0MB) copied, 40.965912 seconds, 3.1MB/s
# mkswap /system/swapfile
mkswap /system/swapfile
Setting up swapspace version 1, size = 134213632 bytes
# swapon /system/swapfile
swapon /system/swapfile
swapon: /system/swapfile: Invalid argument
Invalid Argument: Basically translates to 'Not supported by your filesystem'.
For those who wish to have a 'Play' around with this, the actual contents of the Init.d script is as follows:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
# Memory Tweaks #
chmod 666 /proc/sys/vm/overcommit_memory
echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/overcommit_memory
chmod 666 /proc/sys/vm/overcommit_ratio
echo 100 > /proc/sys/vm/overcommit_ratio
chmod 666 /proc/sys/vm/dirty_expire_centisecs
echo 200 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_expire_centisecs
chmod 666 /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_centisecs
echo 500 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_centisecs
chmod 666 /proc/sys/vm/dirty_ratio
echo 10 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_ratio
chmod 666 /proc/sys/vm/dirty_background_ratio
echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_background_ratio
sync
chmod 666 /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
# Enable SWAP #
#mount -ro remount,rw /system
#/system/xbin/busybox dd if=/dev/zero of=/system/swapfile bs=1M count=128
#chmod 666 /system/swapfile
#/system/xbin/busybox mkswap /system/swapfile
#/system/xbin/busybox swapon /system/swapfile
/system/xbin/busybox dd if=/dev/zero of=/sdcard/swapfile bs=1M count=128
chmod 666 /sdcard/swapfile
/system/xbin/busybox mkswap /sdcard/swapfile
/system/xbin/busybox swapon /sdcard/swapfile
echo 50 > /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
When I've finished testing I'll be setting the 'swappiness' to '100' which will basically mean that the system will only write to the swapfile, which is slower than RAM, in the event that the system runs out of free RAM. - This should keep the Play as responsive as possible at all times and also give us that little extra 'leap' when trying to run a heavy game.
Ah! Almost forgot to mention - There's another downside to having a swapfile on your SDCard... As soon as you connect your device to your computer, it'll unmount the SDCard which will remove the swapfile... Which is essentially the same as removing a stick of RAM from your computer whilst it is on. You shouldn't need me to tell you what would happen in the event such a thing happened, but simply put - You'll need to remove your battery and reboot your device because it'll crap out.
Note: I recommend either AdrenoBooster v0.6 or AdrenoBooster v0.2 for those who wish to benchmark.
Note 2: You can also delete the SEMCSetup.apk from /System/App after the first boot.

hmm thats look awesome, lets try it!

Amazing, :3
Will test soon!
EDIT
Jesus?, This Ram Management is CRAZZY!

I left ES Task Manager in the ROM to disable apps easily, and no it won't effect the performance.
I highly recommend the Min free mod in the 4th post though. Ill be releasing future updates to the ROM after each thing is tested well first. So the 4th post will contain modifications for newer versions. Just released earlier for people to test.
Also, depending on what you use your phone for you can use ES Task Manager to disable all apps except for SuperUser and still have almost everything work as normal.

If I'm coming from your standard Aurora Play rom, can I just do step 6 (flash rom) and be done with it?

No... If you want a fresh and stable rom, you need to do all steps.

You can just factory reset and flash on top of AuroraPlay, yes.
All other partitions/Basebands remain the same - Only the ROM is being changed so only the SYSTEM partition is effected.
Unless a different baseband is required, you don't need to repeat all the original steps of flashing a ROM.
Unless of course you have a Locked Bootloader... In which, damn... >< Unlocked bootloader ftw.

Awesome GB rom. Still got 200+mb with lupus v12 720. And doenst seem to have any lagging playing any games. Although got low antutu benchmark score about 5000++. =)

=============== How to Flash ===============
Download the ROM below and place on your internal_sdcard or sdcard (doesn't matter, just remember where you put it!)
Go into Settings > Power > Fast Boot and uncheck that.
Turn the phone off. Once off, press and hold the Volume Down + Power Button until you reach the white bootloader screen
Choose "RECOVERY" (volume down and up to move, power to select)
You SHOULD make a backup by tapping on the "Backup" button. You are not required, but I would recommend it.
You also SHOULD manually wipe cache, dalvik-cache, and factory reset (wipe /data). This can be done by tapping on the "Wipe" button. Choose those 3 options (and even system if you want, even though the install script does that for you)
Choose "Install" and locate the ROM wherever you put it. NOTE: If you don't see it, make sure that either internal_sdcard or sdcard is mounted. This can be done via the "Mount" button at the main menu of TWRP. Be sure that either internal_sdcard or sdcard is checked!
Wait until the install is finished and then tap "Reboot to System"

FAQ (Updated 5.29.12)

Q: What makes this ROM different than all the other ROMs?
A: First and foremost, you will get the best support from the viperROM Team (-viperboy- and Vinchenzop). We personally reply to almost every post and we're always in the thread trying to help out. If you have to wait more than an hour or so for your question to be answered, that is unusual! What else is different??
The inclusion of the OC Daemon for unprecedented battery life and performance
The custom viperControl script that handles the OC daemon, bloat, and removed app management (more to come too!)
A highly tuned system for incredible smoothness

Q: Do I really need to wipe coming from another version of viperROM?
A: I always recommend that and that is how I test my ROMs. You may be not have any issues if you don't wipe, but you might.

Q: Where are all the cool add-ons?
A: Check post 4 for more information. More add-ons will be posted and available in GooManager in the future.

Q: What is battery calibration and should I do it?
A: Yes!! If you aren't getting wonderful battery life or you think you can do better, do it! Here is the method I have used even back to my EVO 4G and it has always done well by me: Wipe battery stats (from recovery, or Battery Monitor Widget can do it [Menu > Statistics] and it doesn't matter what percentage you're at when you do so. Let the phone die and then fully charge. Take it off the charger and don't plug it in until it dies again, then fully charge. Your next charge cycle will be much better!
What some people don't understand is that you're not calibrating the battery as you are calibrating the phone. When you wipe and do this procedure, the phone reads where the max and min voltages are so it can report battery stats accurately.

Q: What is the deal with tethering?
A: As of right now, native tethering isn't unlocked. The included WiFi Tether should work just fine. You may need to play with the settings, possibly choosing "Generic ICS" under device profile and enabling "Routing Fix" and "Enable MSS Clamping"

viperControl Script
This script is the main script used to control many features within viperROM. Currently with this script, you can:
Adjust the OC Daemon
Change schedulers
Adjust voltage (if on a custom kernel)
Manage removed apps
Freeze any app on the phone - NOTE: Not available on ICS yet!
Modify lock screen text - NOTE: Not available on ICS yet!
Run "fix permissions" (for FC issues)
Adjust the capacitive button brightness
Edit some features in build.prop
Manage the hosts file
Fix a damaged /misc partition

OC Daemon
The OC daemon was created by rmk40 of Team Unity. I take no credit for the daemon, only the script I made to make it easier to work with. More information can be found here, but I will sum it up and explain the script below...
This daemon, written in C, completely eliminates the need for SetCPU and other CPU controlling apps. The daemon handles min/max frequencies for both screen on and screen off but it has one more trick up its sleeve... It can change the governor INSTANTLY depending on the screen state. I have tested it and I can tell you that it really does work instantly and I think this is going to be a great battery saver! I have set default values within the ROM as follows: Screen Off - conservative @ 192min/432max and Screen On - ondemand @ 192min/1188max. Using these settings, I get NO lag. Battery life is amazing, over 19+ hours for me with moderate usage!
If you decide that you want to change the settings of the daemon, here is how you do so...
Open up Terminal Emulator
Type "su" (lowercase, without the quotes and grant it Superuser access if you haven't already)
Type "vc" (lowercase, without the quotes)
Enter "1" (without the quotes) and you will see all of your options
Click to collapse
All the settings can be edited from there. If you want to verify that this is working, you can run these commands from adb shell:
Current CPU frequency
Code:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq
Current CPU governor
Code:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
Current min CPU Freq (you will see this change when the screen state changes)
Code:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq
Current max CPU Freq (you will see this change when the screen state changes)
Code:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
Here are a few things that you need to know about the script...
You MUST flash a custom kernel to overclock! The ROM includeds the stock kernel that is not capable of overclocking. Well why do you call it the "OC Daemon" then?? Because I didn't make it and that's what they called it AND the daemon is capable of controlling OC. Makes sense to me. If you want to overclock (after flashing a custom kernel, of course), run the script and change the MAX awake to whatever OC you would like.
The phone will boot up and detect if you're using SetCPU or other CPU apps. If you are, the daemon will be DISABLED automatically. If you aren't, the daemon will be enabled.

Installed and running it through its paces.
I had one issue where my BT pairings weren't working. I'd pair, then look back and the pairings were gone.
Rebooted/cleared cache/dalvik/fixed permissions seems to be ok now.
Speeds are good. Doesn't seem much faster than stock, but still working on it.
So far, stable. Gotta go out in a bit so I'll look at battery life and other stuff then, but it seems typical ViperRom at this point: Fast, stable, and wonderful.
Vin, get to work on battery percents and stuff!

So far, stable. Gotta go out in a bit so I'll look at battery life and other stuff then, but it seems typical ViperRom at this point: Fast, stable, and wonderful.
Vin, get to work on battery percents and stuff!

As usual, I'll be running this show. You need to quit complaining. I'll put up with this in the 3d forums, but here, we just make out (awkward?). I'll get to the percentages tonight most likely
Edit: I haven't seen it yet, but I'll host a mirror shortly so there's no issues for people
Make out? Oh god, it's about TIME! I thought you'd never ask
Anyone wanna pm me a HTC dev login? I been trying for 2 days to get activation email. Used all 4 of my email accounts. Looks like I'm going to have to start making new ones.

Wow. You must be in your early twenties. Lol. Anyways thanks for this. I tried applying the circle battery mod on this Rom but didn't work because I forgot where I put the 3 xml files I needed before recompiling. I'll just leave that up to the professionals.

This may sound noobish but how do you install this rom? I tried to flash the new CW RECOVERY but terminal couldn't push it and i have the htc dev unlocked.

I used to be able to do that. Then something terrible happened.....I got old lol
Anyway, I'm dying to try this but I am having problems getting rooted. When it comes to root, do you do the HTC Dev unlock then run the root script here, or do just one of them?

Sofla, you're better than this...
Use the HTC unlock method, install a recovery, then flash...
HTC Unlocked, TWRP Recovery installed and 1st custom ROM installed. Not bad for 3 days after picking up this device. Restoring apps now and will see how this one compares to stock.

I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out what I've done wrong. I did the HTC unlock method, and that was the end of things that went right. I tried to install twrp because I read that cwm wasn't working. I installed su but there is no su binary. I'm thinking that is the problem, that I can't use superuser.

New BLACKROSE Hboot required for jellybean
Downloads: MD5SUMS
System: 260 Cache: 8 Userdata: 168 (recommended, future proof, fits any gapps)
System: 250 Cache: 8 Userdata: 178 (should be safe)
System: 230 Cache: 8 Userdata: 198 (possible but you need to use bextons gapps installer and dont install offline voice recognition)
System: 210 Cache: 8 Userdata: 218 External gapps required (see 3rd post)
Why does /system need to by so big? Well to put this in perspective the gnex and n7 have 600mb /system partitions. So their /system is larger than our entire nand (~430mb usable). The 'base' android build is <200mb. The real bulk comes from gapps which are like +40mb the bulk of that is the new voice recognition dictionaries for google now. So theres the gist. Now heres the problem. Dalvik-Cache will be no smaller that 100mb so we're pretty much left with 60mb for apps and data. Which is way too small. Which makes a2sd pretty much required. If youre like me and have <10 apps the builtin a2sd should work fine otherwise you will need m2sd (see QA below) or you wont be able to install /anything/ from the market due to 'low storage space' errors.
To flash
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash hboot hboot_jellybean_260-8-168.nb0
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Should see "Jellybaby" on second line
Code:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
Boot recovery. Flash your zip
QA:
**I dont have enough space for all my apps? A: try m2sd
**Where can I get info on the builtin a2sd? A: see here for quick run down.
**What is blackrose? A: Please do NOT try and flash this until you find out. And do NOT ask in this tread
**Why is my screen not working? A: Reformat your sdcard. Sounds stupid but its the answer

HOWTO: external gapps
Cautions:
-This is an alternative to flashing the gapps zip in recovery. Do not do this if you have flashed gapps through recovery
-For m2sd users see here
Gist:
Instead of wasting nand space installing 50+MB of gapps to /system we will place them on /sd-ext and create symlinks to /system. This means you can reduce the /system partition to 210MB safely and still have full gapps. In principle, after the initial setup this will survive wipes and updates (assuming you dont format /sd-ext).
The main reasoning is reading from the sdcard should be just as fast (or faster especially with journaling disabled which is now done automatically by the init mount script) than from nand. But random writes to the sdcard are going to me much slower than nand. So if we are only reading from the sdcard and writing all our data to nand it should be much faster.
getting the gapps in the right place
# via adb
Code:
# extract the gapps zip on you desktop
# create directory on device
$ adb shell mkdir -p /sd-ext/gapps/system
# push the system folder to device
$ adb push ~/Downloads/gapps/system /sd-ext/gapps/system
# make sure directories are right init script depends on this exact placement (mainly check we dont have gapps/system/system/)
$ adb shell ls /sd-ext/gapps/system
app etc framework lib usr
# enable extgapps (quotes needed)
$ adb shell "echo x > /sd-ext/gapps/.extgapps"
# gapps dir should look like this (if .extgapps doesnt exist the init script wont run)
$ adb shell ls -a /sd-ext/gapps/
.extgapps system
# reboot and wipe device
$ adb reboot bootloader
$ fastboot -w
$ fastboot reboot
# via root explorer (these are fairly rough)
Code:
-click on the gapps zip on sdcard to open
-long press the system folder -> extract -> 'go to extracted'
-long press the system folder (the extracted one) -> copy
-navigate to /sd-ext
-menu -> new folder -> name it 'gapps'
-open gapps -> paste (system folder)
-menu -> new file -> name it '.extgapps' the dot is required
# directories should now contain:
# /sd-ext/gapps should have: .extgapps, system
# /sd-ext/gapps/system should have: app, etc, framework, lib, usr
-reboot recovery -> wipe data
once its setup
# on reboot
Code:
# symlinks will be created on boot
# look at beginning of logcat to ensure links were created
$ adb logcat -C

Nice work! i tested on my device and its running very nice.
Function Tests:
- boot without errors
- UI (HW) is very good (cool Animation ). Touch input slowly
- HSDPA / GSM works
- WLAN works verys good, but system show wlan connection very low.
- Android Browser has render problems (Google Chrome works fine)
- sound volume keys works with sound
- sound in media player works
- phone sound doesn't work
- gallary works nice
- widgets works with auto position
- m2sd script doesn't work (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342387)
Google Apps:
- Google Play works fine
- Google Maps - multitouch is not useable
- Google Mail works fine
- Google Calendar works fine
- Google Contact works fine
- Google Talk works fine
Its a very stable alpha! THX
I might give this a shot in a bit. How are the ui and animations feeling? Are they noticeably smoother on Jelly Bean than ICS or does project butter not make a difference on the nexus one?
the ui and animation is very smooth. i love the animation between the switch of activitys...
only the touch events are slowly. if gapps works -> n1 with 4.1
Cannot wait to try this. Serious props!

This will probably change as system will probably grows!? For this pre-release you can use the same as for TexasIce Cream Sandwich (220 for system partition).
edit: you should be fine with 210, too. That is the disk usage after installation:
Code:
1|[email protected]:/ # df
df
Filesystem Size Used Free Blksize
/dev 202M 32K 202M 4096
/mnt/asec 202M 0K 202M 4096
/mnt/obb 202M 0K 202M 4096
/system 220M 178M 41M 4096
/data 200M 56M 143M 4096
/cache 16M 1M 14M 4096
It's already smooth with the first prealpha. I can't wait the next prealpha's !
Good job and thanks

For those who care: USB Mass Storage works with my "old" UMS App for ICS (v1.1.4). However, you need root to use it. So you have to flash Superuser-3.2-arm-signed.zip via recovery first.

Edit: Confirm that everything on the "what works"-list, works for me too (including mobile data). Only thing so far are some tiled graphic glitches noticed in browser and email:

I know It may be early to ask, but here It goes:
DO you guys feel that "Project Butter" made difference for the N1? Is the Interface smoother than ICS for us? (I know reports indicate slow Touch input, but It may be just regarding touch Input really... I ask about the UI(transitions and Kinecting scrolling speed) in general...]
I really cn't test on my own, cause my N1 is my Daily Driver.

Swapper [Root Users] Reduce Lag and Save Ram

So what is Swap?
A swap file allows an operating system to use hard disk space to simulate extra memory. When the system runs low on memory, it swaps a section of RAM that an idle program is using onto the hard disk to free up memory for other programs. Then when you go back to the swapped out program, it changes places with another program in RAM. This causes a large amount of hard disk reading and writing that slows down your computer considerably.
I can say Swap file is like Virtual Memory on your PC.
New Info:
For those who struggle with the Free on terminal Emulator, the swapper will still work. Here is the simple Instruction. Just make as 100-128mb Swap then put it to 50 swappines, reboot and done.
The Swapper can Work on Many Devices. I tested it on Neo V, Arc S and Samsung Galaxy SII
Just to make sure it supports this kind of Feature. Free to try it, its harmless.
Requirements:
-Any Rom- (Tested on Acronium 4 and I-Scream)
-Custom Kernel- (Tested on KGT and Xarc Kernel)
-300+ sdcard space-
-Terminal Emulator-
Source: Google Play
or Attached File
Start:
Download the Swapper2 and install.
2. Go to terminal emulator type "Free" without the Quotation.
Make sure you see "0" on the Swap

3. open swapper2 go to Setting, Swap size=32 MB, Swappiness=60. (You can Play on the numbers you want I just displayed a Default Swap Settings.)
Go Advanced preferences check "Recreate swap file" and "Reformat swap" then exit...
4. Open Swapper2 click ON it will show some Fail.
Just wait for few secs or mins and it will continue. If not, Click the ON again.
5. Go to terminal emulator type free and you will see that the "0" has been replaced.
Hit thanks if you think I helped.
Note:
This just give Everyone Idea that Swapfile is working without Partitioning your SD cards.

For those who cannot do the do the Swap due to Kernel Issue
Here is a new way without using the Swapper 2
SOLUTION: How to make simple ZRAM init.d script
1. Using Root Explorer, got to /sytem/etc/init.d/
2. press Menu then create new file
3. paste these in it
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
sysctl -w vm.swappiness=60
echo '1' > /sys/block/zram0/reset
echo $((60*1024*1024)) > /sys/block/zram0/disksize
mkswap /dev/block/zram0
swapon /dev/block/zram0
Click to collapse
4. close and save it as 99zram
5. set permission to 777 or "rwxrwxrwx" (tick all)
6. take note: 60*1024*1024 = 60MB zram disksize. if you want to set 30MB, change 60 to 30.
Thanks.

Although it creates the script, the fact that the stock kernel is swap locked doesn't allow that same script to run.
I got this report...
But I must say that it was quite odd seeing this cause during the time I had the app installed onbthe phone it lagged alot less and the usual high temperature reached when playing a game or browsing the internet didn't occur.

The stock kernel doesn't have zram either. Nor of course is zram a 'real' swapfile, it's just a compressed area of ram.
Unless you want this thread to be full of posts just saying "swapon doesn't work" or "function not implemented", if I were you I'd change the text of your first post to say that this is only for devices with unlocked bootloaders using custom kernels.

TO WHO CARE TO KNOW
What is build.prop:
- The build.prop file is your android handset’s ‘ID card’.
- It tells applications the specifications of your device, so that apps can change their interface or function for your specific device.
- Editing the build.prop file is most commonly used for changing LCD density, build number and your device’s model or manufacturer.
- Changing your ‘fingerprint’, model or manufacturer can trick some apps in the market to become compatible with your device.
- The build.prop file is a powerful tool for root users to modify the behavior of various aspects of the Android experience. However, there are no secret values here that are going to instantly make your phone run faster, better, smarter, or more efficiently. In fact, if you don't know what you are doing, you can actually decrease the performance of your device. Over time I will investigate more build.prop properties to determine which ones can actually enhance your Android experience and which ones only create a placebo effect

...it helps to know what works and what doesn't, causes conflicts, do you need to use one tweak if you're using another etc and all those classed as "busted" I'll never use again. So while it's great to have it all collected in one place lets also sift through what works and what doesn't.

WAIT
REQUIREMENT BEFORE YOU START :-
- Make a NANDROID BACKUP
- If you have any V6 Supercharger tweaks installed, un-supercharge before doing these tweaks. Once finished, you may re-supercharge and
- Root (Superuser/Busybox/Terminal Emulator/ES File Explorer),
- kernel that supports "init.d" scripts (script files that are stored in /system/etc/init.d/)This requires edits in build.prop and the use of terminal emulator
- If your build.prop has an additional build properties section the line of code needs to go in there
(If lines starting with dalvik.vm.checkjni=false or windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=300 exist already in build.prop, please modify them as shown below. Obviously if it isn't already in build.prop, just add it in.)
How to
Replace OR tweaks Build.prop :-
1. Download Es File Explorer ((OR ANY APP LIKE IT))
2.CLick menu, settings, check Root Explorer and Mount File System
3.Copy the Build.prop file into the sd card and copy with file manager
4.Click Favorites tab, Click Phone icon /
5.Navigate to system/
6.Rename build.prop to build.bak
7.Paste build.prop you copied earlier Reboot! Done! :good:
Build.prop tweaks((UPDATED 26-Oct))
Add these at the end of your build.prop
Code:
IN THE ATTACHMENT
~ Free Up More RAM, Make Apps Load Faster ~
1) Open Terminal Emulator on phone or adb shell from PC and type the following.
Code:
su
setprop dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode false
setprop dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags v=n,o=a,u=y,m=y
As shown:((here written v=n,o=v so the new one is v=n,o=a,u=y,m=y))

}
2) Add these lines to the bottom of build.prop using Root Explorer -- or any other app of your favorite
.
(If lines starting with dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode or dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags exist already in build.prop, please modify them as shown below. Obviously if it isn't already in build.prop, just add it in.)
Code:
dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode = false
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=v=n,o=a,u=y,m=y
As shown:((here written v=n,o=v so the new one is v=n,o=a,u=y,m=y))
After this, run these two commands in adb shell or terminal emulator
Code:
rm /data/dalvik-cache/*
rm /cache/dalvik-cache/*
reboot
3) Okay, this step is only for those who experience errors from typing the following lines from Step 2:
Code:
rm /data/dalvik-cache/*
rm /cache/dalvik-cache/*
**If you got the error, make sure to undo the tweak since now you are probably experiencing FC's right now and start all over. The undo process**
How to UNDO this tweak
Type the following in adb shell or terminal emulator
((also u can users, skip the 3rd and 4th lines. That starts with "rm" and instead, reboot in recovery and clear cache partition and dalvik-cache but better to do it all))
Code:
su
setprop dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode true
rm /data/dalvik-cache/*
rm /cache/dalvik-cache/*
reboot
So just make sure you have done Step 1 and the edits of build.prop from Step 2 correctly. After that, reboot into recovery and clear cache partition and clear dalvik-cache. Thats all.
Init.d tweaks ((UPDATED 26-Oct))
(needs ROM with init.d access and busybox, open empty file, insert header #!/system/bin/sh and put these there, save in /system/etc/init.d and name it something like 77tweaks)
Note:
1- If you have init.d problem or if not have init.d folder try add this line at hw_config.sh
2- some (needs zipalign bin) #!/system/xbin/bash,so it needs the bash file in the /system/xbin folder in order to work

Of course I install through recovery, tried several times, all aborted. Status 7 error, no permissions.
I think the trouble comes from the root of some device or trouble zip
Try this:
1-Redownload zip
or
2-Go to parametres/about the device >>>>> click on number build several times to be developer
then
always parametres options for devs >>>>> selected advanced reboot

Menu restart >>> selected recovery
