pure android like that which was released on the one, is possible, just compile from the AOSP source code base from google. pure android is basically the same open source code that google uses, cyanogenmod is a derivative of that work. we HAVE AOSP as lloir released it but nobody seemed overly interested so development has basically ground to a halt. If theres interest im sure someone will pick it up and compile it.

Whats the point?
Aosp is available thanks to lloir for his rom and maxwen for his kernel.
The difference is android version 4.3 a different bootanimation and pbotosphere camera.
4.3 might come in some time, bootanimation cannot be downloaded and for photosphere cam take a look at my thread here:

they are 4.3 but they arn't 4.3....... if that makes sense...

I guess I get it... Sounds promising. Already thought that the Bluetooth issues might have to do with Bluetooth le and code changes of 4.3

Normal htc one users don't get google play edition, its just another gimmick, the googleplay edition can purchased through google store, it is a real bummer though, id love to have official google on my htc onex without having to install a custom rom.

AW: Open WebOS?
If interrest is big enough there might be some Devs out there who are interested in porting that. I don't think that it will happen soon nor do I think that it may become fully working on this device but I don't know why it should be impossible to get it working at all?

It's definitely possible for unofficial support for MIUI to arrive for the one in a port but nothing can happen until CyanogenMod builds a solid base for things to run off of since they have the largest number of contributors working on everything AOSP Android. And everyone pulls bits and pieces from their code to be able to build stable ROMs.

Well actually it's very possible to have a Sense based build also, a couple HTC phones like the One XL, One S, etc already have some solid Sense base MIUI builds

I personally think a sensed based miui is for the best considering there is a huge difference between quality of camera in sense vs aosp. Plus people get boom sound. It really is a no compromise option and the base is (for all intents and purposes really solid).
Also why is this in dev?
Moved to Q&A
Is it highly costumaisable. Sry for spelling.

Looking for users interested in MIUI

So a buddy of mine said users on the HOX+ where looking for new MIUI builds. Im down to port it over if there is enough interest.
Some things Ill need to know (Take note I do not own this device, I will be blind porting.)
DPI = ?? XHDPI HDPI XXHDPI?
latest stock android version, e.g. 4.1.1 also cm version or another aosp derivative.
yes I could find this out easily, but im only going to port it over if there's interest.

I'm interested
Latest stock is 4.1.1, the guys have put together a cm10.1 and various other aosp type roms. It seems anything other than a stock rom causes some audio/speaker problems (low volume), something about the drivers until if/when HTC release 4.2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1819
I think it has 312 pixels per inch.
I'm really interested too!
Me toooo will be happy if you do it
Thanks
Is xhdpi and 312 dpi density. Exactly as HTC one X.
Audio with stock kernel is better but i used 4.2.2 ( CM 10.1 ) without problem. the there are aosp version or CM from 4.1 to 4.2
Thanks a lot if you want to try or give us a starting point
I'm in. Really loved miui on my atrix and would love to see it on my hox+

Can I get Beats on CM 10.1 nightly?

Beats is not just a software processing trick to make your music sound in whatever way they want it to sound. There is hardware optimization involved in the matter...as such you would need drivers that are proprietary to HTC...
This is why you won't be getting "Beats" anytime soon...unless HTC made those drivers available.

Not that simple, the released GPe rom code shows its not an AOSP base rom but a rom w Sense framework and then built up to look amd act like vanilla Android, hence it'll take too much work to port over some of that code to pure AOSP based roms like CM

Quick question, I understand that using beats software would be dependent on the framework and HTC drivers however how would I go about getting the equalizer settings that beats have, I googled it and there were a bunch of claims that said it was the same but most of them differed greatly and some just boosted the base. Thanks

Stock at&t 4.1.2 newest rom

The reason I am looking for the newest stock at&t 4.1.2 rom, is because I want to use elemental x's kernel, which lets me have the htc logo as the menu button.
No 4.2 rom as far as I know lets you do this, and the google play edition roms I get bad battery life.

Elementalx only works for 4.1.x roms, or at least I am pretty sure.
Elemental x has a google play edition which works for 4.2 google editions, but google editions give me bad battery life.
