I don't see why not. Unless you bought it on contract. Just get it unlocked for 19.95..
Hi everyone. Im looking to buy the DNA for someone back home in India. Will the DNA work with an Indian gsm sim? And would it matter if the esn was clear or not? Will I need to unlock it or will it work the similar method as it does with att?

The dna comes factory unlocked and will work on gsm carriers. It should work out.

It should work in areas that tmobile has put in the 1900 MHz 3g band on 3g. Other times you'll be on edge. Att has the right 3g bands for the xiaomi phone. I'm using a mi2 now on att 3g.

Ummm.. what rom from at&t would you flash? I would assume yes, you will just need to manually put in apn settings for tmobile. I would flash an wwe rom.
Yes you can can whatever Roms out there. But with AT&T Rom you will lose Wi-Fi calling feature. Like an0ther said it's better if you just flash international Roms. You can have the features of both AT&T and T-Mobile offer.

You can do it but you won't get no benefits from either rom.
You'll benefit more from a international rom since you get features and what not the US models didn't get.
