Okay, I am sorry. I did this using Hellybean and it gave me a fake imei that T-Mobile accepts. I am back with cell service, but an improper imei. I can live with that. Thank you.

Whether to Restore the "Android ID"

Hey Guys,
After flashing a Custom ROM, i went to restore all my apps from Titanium backup but it gave me the warning that my device's 'Android ID' has been changed and gave me the options to restore the old one/ask later/keep the current one.
Does anyone know the best way to proceed?

Is it necessary to restore Android ID? I always ignore it and haven't notice any problem yet.

I think it applies to root protected apps ie banking etc, so if you don't have these I don't think you will get problems

how to create folder in "sys" folder???

You need to be root. It needs to be re-mounted rw. Many apps will do that for you. I use root browser.

i don't think you can touch anything within that "special" folder. i recommend cache, data, osh or system for your "test". anything else you shouldn't touch and most likely can't like sys.
I think u can do it through recovery i use TWRP and it seems to have file manager under advanced i didn't try this before

You won't magicly unlock your bootloader just by changing values in /sys/firmware/fuse/ReservedOdm
Just forget it.

Sorry but it is not possible to restore files from a full-wiped S3 since the data partition is for multiple reasons no longer an additional fat32 partition but piggybacking in the system's ext4.
However I want to point out that a full-wipe is only done on the stock recovery, not when using Cwm.

Happened to me before when I did flash the wrong status bar for the firmware version or odex/deodexed version.
You can try a dirty flash of the stock rom without wiping data or moving the SystemUI.apk into the appropriate folder, give the permissions correctly and restart the phone (not sure if this would work though).
yeah actually i thought about that..but im keeping that option for last xD...how did you solve the problem?

for what? flashing a rom? have a look in the general section's stickies, there is a guide on how to.
If you have a nandroid backup just restore.
Otherwise reflash your rom and restore data.
just move the original systemui to /system/app and set the correct permissions.
and if you should have a backup if you followed the instructions
i dont have a backup :/
how do i fix permisions??
