I'm back to stock JB. However I really miss the holo-style clock from CM10.1 (see attachment). Is there any way to get this ported to latest firmware (preferably deodexed).

try to install directly (cause it's the best way)
if it doesn't work then push it to system/app
give permission rw-r-r and reboot !

Clock JB is is very good...

I tried to make this work. Extracted from PAC, CM, Pure Vanilla, etc. Didn't really work. I'm on CM10.1 now - and it's awesome.
I recommend Clock JB or Clock JB+. Unfortunately the alarm and stopwatch only work in the paid version which is the Clock JB+.

Hi guys, I recently updated my chinese dual sim phone to jelly bean. But the chinese guy who cooked the rom put a bunch of things in there.
Its super annoying that everytime I get an sms I get a popup with the content and options to reply, delete, etc... i have no idea how to disable that. It works like ios!!!!! Aweful!!!
Also the lockscreen wallpaper cannot be changed, and its an horrendous one. In fact I would like to have the ics stock lockscreen, but the jelly bean stock one is good enough.
I'm rooted btw, and have a custom recovery so I can flash a. Zip file that could replace the apks
Also a question, the bubbles (noisefield) live wallpaper does not work in jelly bean? I mean, I tried to install it, and tried to move it to the system/app folder (with rw-r--r--) and it does not work...

i managed to root mine, but what rom img do you use?? can you send it to me / post it here?
Use widgetlocker app for lockscreen.

I download it from a chinese forum, you first need to flash the custom recover that i have in english. Then flash the zip. I will post all of that later if you want me to.

I guess so. Im using holo lockscreen btw, im just asking since I prefer a native option. Im sure its an apk I need to replace, nothing more. Maybe someone can upload the stock lockscreen apk.
Update:i managed to disable the sms popup. But still like to go back to the stock ics lockscreen...

Hi guys!
I decided to make a package with 4.2 launcher and clock app and all the system sounds! Screenshots of the clock are attached!
This CWM package removes your current clock app so you'll only have the new one (didn't test, but think you should set your alarm again, so you can't use it as an excuse for being late :laugh:
Download from my DB: Click! (Seems like Chrome says that every .zip is potentially harmfull, but like in any other .zip you can ignore this warning)
If you also want 4.2 Keyboard and Camera have a look at this thread!
Installation is just like any other zip package you can flash it through TWRP or CWM (I recommend use TWRP, because CWM is causing many issues) - NO WIPES NEEDED!

As said before in the referred thread it says no, but you can try everytime but afaik you can't mix deodexed and odexed system apps lol

well, pretty 4.1 deodexed (should support all ROMs and afaik all devices too as the apps should support also lower DPIs ) - haven't tested, but read somewhere - and 4.2 (the + after 4.1 ) has included this system apps, so you don't need to extra flash this

Hey guys,
Please can u tell me if there is a solution to change/modify to your needs a custom Rom you're about to install on your rooted galaxy s2 ( 9100 ).
For example: I want to install CyanogenMod 10 Nightly build... , it's installed, next i install GAPPS (google apps).
Ok, after reboot everything is ok and working.
Now what i want to do is to replace a default CM(cyanogenmod) apps (SMS, Contact manager/Call manager) by those which were included in JB 4.1.2 (leaked version).
Is there any way to achieve it ?

Nope, i watched Chameleon ROM Hybrid on youtube but you can see that he is using old sms app (green with smiley), instead of what i'am searching for (Messaging with orange/yellow envelope).
But what i mentioned is that he have TouchWiz launcher (Desktop), where u can create folders etc.. How can i port it to fresh installed CM10 ROM?

I am wondering if it is possible to pick a Lockscreen app apk from a Custom Rom and replace it in my phone (Copy+Paste).
Will it work as easily like eating a butter ?

Not only lockscreen app,i try many home.apk,,,,walkman.apk,,,,Samsung stock keyboard.apk.but no result.its give me force close.i think its a apk signing problem.

It can work, but I think it wouldn't because of different frameworks. Just use a custom rom for your device that offers the style you like or simply try go locker or similar apps from playstore

No, the framework is for the "look" of your phone and some basic things. For example there's the sony framework and the stock android framework and that's for example the reason why you can't use some stock sony system apps (or the home.apk) on cyanogenmod
System apps cannot be installed by regular method, because they do not include any signatures (apk files are not signed), thereby Android refuses to install due to security reasons.

I think that all the blur apps are not compatible with any other rom, i mean they will not be installed in any other non-blured rom (i am 99% sure about that)(ex. i tried with no luck installing a touchwiz app on cm10.1) but you can always give it a try.
I dont use GB so i cant provide you the apk, but its easy to find it. just download a blured rom, then open the flashable zip (with a browser) and find the apk in the system apps
