Can you urgently try panoramic mode. I think there is a major bug. My resolution output in 200kb, same for my friend's S4 Zoom.

I need everyone's help. When you get the S4 Zoom, take a panoramic mode photo. Check details for file size and post your results. It should be dreadful. If it isnt, let us know firmware.

Some more.
The insect was taken at night. Xenon flash works a treat.

What the bloody hell (©Simon Cowel) is that bug ? O o

Very nice photos. What resolution did you get using the panoramic mode?

Id be interested to see how it performs in low light with out the flash. thats the toughest test for a camera. By low light i dont mean dark, i mean day time indoors.
Without a diffuser or bounce, flash lighting is very harsh. I like natural looking shots.

I will try later. Too sunny at the moment anyway. Don't forget xenon flash so it doesn't kill the image with light.

I know there's already a picture thread but its also mixed with mostly 3d images and really just wanted to see some great 2d pictures you have captured with your phone. Here's a few I've taken indoor and outdoor. It's not the greatest camera I've seen on a mobile phone but pretty decent regardless.
BTW I'm on GB 2.3.4 Synergy nightly

taken into direct sunlight from the setting sun did not work so well..... however I kinda like how it looks. From my apartments parking lot
Mountain Biking one morning in Colorado Springs. This is looking north and east (away from the mountains) you can kinda see Garden of the Gods in the middle left of the picture.

Nope, still running Viper rom and 2.3.3. Why? Did the update help out with the camera much? Still getting lots of green in most of my pics. Example my bright yellow bike, lots of green in the shadows.

Hmmm I'm actually not very impressed by these samples...They're pretty horrible actually! These pictures even in the bright daylight are VERY noisy, grainy, and blurry.. how can that be? This is supposed to be the best camera phone? I doubt it... Can someone post a pic from the smartshot feature where it takes 5 pics and combines them? I know on Sony camera's this image stacking feature lowers the noise and helps with low light pics.
I haven't played with the camera a whole lot yet, but this is a few minutes after leaving T-Mobile. So completely stock settings. Pretty happy with it.
that....is a pretty damn good camera! i cant wait til phones are rocking like 16 megapixles standard
Wow, I am not amazed. (heh)
These photos look worse than my HD2. I've been needing to upgrade but wow, I think I'm gonna hold off. Other than maybe a faster shutter, my HD2 wipes the floor with the Amaze. Even low light photos of mine have less noise than daylight photos taken with the Amaze. Maybe the GS2 is again where I am headed? So disappointed.
I think the people in this thread don't know how to take a proper photo.

Here are a couple that I took just playing around with the macro setting and the low light setting. I guess they aren't too bad for phone pics taken in ****ty light by someone with no skills.

I would have to agree, I haven't been too impressed with the camera on my One. I think it is hard for many/me to look beyond the megapixel count, as it tends to get grainy way sooner than a lot of other higher megapixel cameras on the market. I have liked it in low light however, but not as big of a difference as I had expected. Here are some of my shots.
I've been impressed. My shots above were night shots in Boston, and a really quick macro of a robin's nest. )she has been laying an egg a day).
I think once we get new update, 1.29 photos will improve more.

I can confirm for you guys as a fellow Tmobile user that the camera is MUCH better after the 1.29 update. Currently I'm running Trickdroid 5.2.1 and the camera results seem to be greatly improved over stock Tmobile firmware....
Here's a few shots I took in the last couples of days.
The camera seems good but nothing amazing. The two things that impressed me most was the macro (coaster picture) and very quick shutter speed (the car in that one picture was going at least 30mph and there's no blur at all)

Two of the pictures were compromised by very bright lights that negatively affected the exposure of the rest of the shot. Not very representative, honestly.
I guess I do not see much of a difference between normal (1st) and macro, this was also in relatively low light (still impressive) but I am not completely impressed with macro mode at all, much better on my Amaze.

These same shots were 90% blackness on a Nexus 4. Low-light is great on this. The last picture shows the drawback... zooming looks horrible.

I agree! Love the pictures, but you can't always be at the perfect distance from your subject... which means I would usually crop my picture afterward. But there is not much cropping I can do with these. I knew this before buying the phone, but it's still disappointing.
But.... coming from the Nexus 4... I am happy for this trade off. I may have been able to zoom and crop, but I was very unhappy with the inconsistent image quality and hated the flash because it was way too bright, in my opinion, and ruined quite a few pictures. I just missed too many moments, because you can't always say "Hold on, let me take another one."
