I see in every thread of Cyanogenmod based rom the users say that there is a low volume.
Soooo I found an app who boost the volume x2! For me it works very well !
Instructions :
~Download the app here :

~Open it, go to the settings and set maximum allowed boost to 100%
~Enjoyyyyyyy !!
ATTENTION : PLAY MUSIC WITH THE VOLUME AND THE BOOST AT 100% FOR A LONG TIME WILL DESTROY YOUR SPEAKER...!
¤If you have the sensation that it doesn't work, re open the app to be sure that it is in background !

Boost won't work for me (Upgraded from clean install CM 10 FXP228 to FXP 230).
Maybe it already is at its maximum?
(Tested while playing musik with standard player)

Sorry was in holiday till now, and had no internet
It's pretty easy download the .apk: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7t1c73wsz4qiygu/ViPER4Android_FX_2211_en.zip
and move it to /system/app and set right permissions.
Then reboot and open the app. A window will pop up, wich asked you if you want to install the drivers.
Click yes and choose CortexA9/15 with NEON.
Then reboot. you need to choose Viper4Android in sound settings, under effects to make it work.
You can run it alone (recommended) or with other sound mods (for this choose compatibility mode)

Really sound louder, but begins to wheeze after 60% boost
On my xu it seems not to work...
Seems to not work properly on AOSP ROMs...

Here almost real SRS Audio Effects
Non fake same Beats Audio, Dolby Mobile and other stupid collecting files.
Whats need:
1) Android 4.0.1 or High, On 2.3 no work don't try!
2) Remove some old libs and apps
-- 1. /system/lib/soundfx/ and remove libcyanogen-dsp.so (If you have here)
-- 2. /system/lib/soundfx/ and remove libbundlewrapper.so (If you have here)
-- 3. /system/app/ and remove DSPManager.apk (If you have here)
-- 4. /system/app/ and remove MusicFX.apk (If you have here)
3) Unpack all files from srsfiles_for_port_on_other_phone.zip to /system/. Or just flash zip pack. srsaudiofx.zip

i have hicups at least 2 o 3 less than before
and yes is noisy on speaker but only at full volume
80 or 90 percent is good and is not louder

yes its absolutely WOW I tried it on My x10 mini with ICS ...Working Gr8!
It is not flashing by CWM I have too put the files manually............Ohhhhhh well.

How do you access SRS Panel? I can see that the zip installed everything, i have the apk in /system/apps but cant find the program in the drawer.

I've tried installing them bit nothing I've even pushed them

You can push this one through recovery.
Walkman is such good app. What I do is enable slight bass in the Beats app. Then I use the EQ from STweaks. Walkman sounds so much better than the stock music player.

i flashed only acid 8 without walkman....and using player pro with its built in virtualizer.....sound is awesomely increased and crisp on my stock neoV:laugh: headsets
i cant understand how you can "feel" the difference. Everyone says it is awesome. I have seen no difference of such high level.
I installed noozxoide and it is the exact same thing! I have used many headpods and a cheap headphone. No huge difference. I have also useD my 2.1 audio system and well there is completely no difference with noozxoide and acid!. Just flash a walkman addon.

that is a rare statement i am seeing second time.......if you have installed acid 4 before....then it is impossible to see no difference apart from wrong installations...
i never needed noozoxide ....for me its crap.....walkman is slow and 35 mb size but worth it....
what we hear with stock sound is plain music....and the difference i saw with acid is.....high depth in music,and little un-needed bass

in my view try flashing over your v4....if it works....wonders for you.....if not..either way flash new rom...it did works

Tested on CM11 and on 4.3 stock rom:
Improvement seen on Sony rom but not really on CM...
You can also use Williams or Doomlord's kernel , depending on the ROM you're on, and install Fauxsound
You can literally blow your speakers so be careful when increasing your volumes.
I'm in stock 4.3 build 205 ..
In fact I find the files named snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3
Located in folder system\etc\snd_soc_msm ..
I used to successfully edit in xperia m in jb 4.3 but in xperia sp can not ..
