Flashed note 2 ROM on note 1 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I accidentally flashed a note 2 ROM on my note 1. Now when I install or restore my backed up ROM's , my phone is really slow and sometimes I get a lot of error. Can anyone help me please. sometimes everything is smooth until I try to start an app

As a complete aside, how do people manage this? I mean obviously blindly flashing anything that's a .zip, but do they find them on other forums or something? They always manage to find the correct xda forums to say "I not things good read," so obviously they can work the XDA forums, and I've never seen a Note 2 / international-1 ROM posted in these forums. So where are they failing at reading so miserably? I feel like XDA is set up to allow even an illiterate 4 year old not go wrong, so it must be randomly googling things, right?
Of course none of this applies to the OP. He's a great guy.

I made a mistake on flashing twrp for galaxy note 2 on my note 1...hahahaha that was so stupid of me...luckly this guy didnt hard brick his phone mine got hard bricked..cost me 40 but it was worth it rather then spending hundreds on a new one..READ CAREFULLY WHEN INSTALLING SOMETHING.. SPECIALLY A ZIP...read the zip aswell before installing...

[Q] Alien and theme

I am sure I have read posts re Alien and theme not working but cant find them.
Alien works great for me except that I cant get the theme to install (launch). Actually I run the installer form CWM and finishes OK (last version of CWM). I go by the rules. Unlocked, rooted, depeleated battery and recharging 100 %, install Alien, and reboot before the install the theme, clear data/factory defaults before starting everithing, use the Wipe Installer.... what else.. what can I do.. upon installing and rebooting it goes to the HOME launcher, not even the stock Gingerblur, so I have to get rid of that pice of crap
I swithed to Alien from Ronaldo´s ROM, wich is very straightforward and based on Kenn´s and also uses Alien script installer, so I don't have the slightest idea as to what I am doing wrong, missing, or if I am through a bug,
I would appreciate some good soul to help me.
Cheers !!

How do I uninstall the JB ROM completely?
Edit: Whenever I connect my phone to my computer, it won't show up and I can't add anything to my internal SD.
Edit 2: I got it. I appreciate the help anyways.
Should be very similar as how you flashed the rom you currently have. Not to be a smartass but the op also posted instructions on how to flash. You just need to download the rom and the current gapps for jb and flash using twrp or cmw. Great rom too. For me not quite ready for a daily driver but really good.

This isn't a help hotline or a help website with walk thrus.. there is YouTube for that..

I've been scratching my head on this all weekend.
King71st, I flashed Liquid JB on it and used Flap's kernel and it didn't work so good yesterday.
All the bricks I've seen is using the wrong rom for the device. There are many variants to most phones and they use a rom for the variant they

No jtag is your only hope.. Sending a brick into Samsung is fraud. You claim all responsibility when you give your phone root access, not to mention installing a 3rd party operating system.
True there are ways to revert everything to stock so that you can return it, but these are for people with legitimate hardware defects not to be abused by someone who can't man up and admit they made a mistake.
Ffs
STOP CONDONING FRAUD ON THIS FORUM!!!
THE REASON COMPANIES WANT TO LOCK DOWN DEVICES AND MAKE US NOT ABLE TO TO MODIFY ANYTHING IS THAT EXACT REASON.
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN MISTAKES AND STOP RUINING IT FOR THE PEOPLE THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!
XDA does not condone Fraud in any way, shape or form. If you broke it and somehow pull the wool over their eyes, don't post it here.
We all take these risks when we flash the ROMs/Kernels/Mods. In doing so, we also should take the responsibilities as well.
I am still trying to figure out why "This weekend" as well as the relevance of this thread.

Aaaaand that's why you don't flash anything that's not made specifically for your phone, unless you know it's compatible. Sorry for your loss though. Can you get into download mode? Guess it's too late now, if you already sent it back, but I'm sure you tried to Odin back to stock..

Kinda like me I still use my S3 as a backup phone for streaming music on Wi-Fi/hotspot, playing games, hooking it up to my tv, and flashing ROM's when I get an itch, and don't feel like changing my current Note setup. I really like the Galaxy Mod ROM for the S3 mainly because it has Multiwindow, which I can no longer live without!
Sent from my Inverted Beans ROM @ 240 DPI
So, you flashed a Note 2 kernel that is for an Exynos SoC to the SGS3, which is a Qualcomm SoC? I'm not sure why anyone would even think to try this in the first place, so I'm not sure why you felt the need to warn everyone. Also, this is exactly the reason VZW locks the bootloader, because people do things like this and then get warranty replacements.
As for fixing it, you should be able to, but you likely need a USB jig to force it into download mode, then a full Odin tar plus a PIT file so you can re-partition properly.
Exactly what imnuts said. People sending their phones back for warranty replacement due to mistakes THEY made themselves is exactly why verizon is locking bootloaders and why rooting voids your warranty. If people took responsibility for their own actions, the rest of us wouldn't have to pay for the consequences.
Should change the title to I bricked my phone by flashing a kernel that was not made for my phone. The kernel did not brick your phone you did by making a really bad decision.
This thread is bad and you should feel bad, too.

This may be the most ridiculous thread I've seen in a long time. But only the fact instead of paying for his mistake he thinks some how is Samsung responsibly, but how completely ridiculous he was to knowingly flash a note 2 kernel on a s3.
op why do you think there are different sub forums for phones and even carriers. You're probably one of the people who flashed an international ROM too. ...Then sent your hard bricked phone in for warranty

I bricked my phone, I want to know why
Hi.
First of all I apologize for my not so good English.
The thing is that I hard bricked my note i717 by flashing a wrong kernel and now I know that JTAG is my only option, but I want to know if they are going to be able to bring my phone back to life, I don't live in the US that is the reason why I want to be 100% sure before I send it.
I was experiencing some problems with the USB not being recognized by any computer, after searching and reading a lot of post it came dawn to an incompatible kernel (something to do with the fast-charge option) so I´ve tried to flash a fast-charge compatible kernel but I downloaded it wrong and BAM!!! my phone is just a brick now (kinda useful to hold the door)
Full info:
I had the stock AT&T rom, then flashed some other roms without problems until this one:
cm-10.1-20130304-experimental-quincyatt-m2, that's where the USB problems began... after that one I had pa_quincatt-2.57-20120122-201611 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1686320)
My question is:
Is it possible to connect the device(you know the JTAG method http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0SX3iDuIZc ) now that it is hardbricked even if it wasn't recognized before bricking?
I appreciate the responses in advance.:laugh:
