[THEME] 3D blue Toggles and Signals (stock/23toggles/simplistic) - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

This is a small theme to change Toggles and Signals along few other images here and there.
It is intended as a small addon/modification for the latest Motomoto theme (here), mostly to add the 3D toggles to SF 3.6.
But it can be used on its own too if you just want the Toggles/Signals.
Anyway I suggest to Flash it after Motomoto theme.
Please let me know if there are any problems, I tested it only with Simplistic Framework 3.6
For Simplistic Framework don't forget to:
Go to Semplistic Control - Statusbar Toggles -Toggles Colors
Set Background Color to Black
Set ON Icon Color and OFF Icon Color to transparent (input #00000000 in the Hex field, press Set and then press the transparent color box)
Download here: N2_MMaddon_theme_tacchan23.zip - 29.13 MB
Glass Battery with numbers for Simplistic Framework attached at the bottom.

- Added 3D Toggles for Simplistic Framework 3.6
- Changed some icons on the 3D Toggles.
- Changed some icons in Settings app.
- Changed some icons in Power Menu.
- Changed some icons in Status Bar signals/notifications.
- Changed bottom notification bar to stock.
- Some more icons changed in the framework.
- Added Glass Battery with numbers. (for Simplistic you need to instal the apk and enable it in custom batteries)

I think I fixed it. At least now my Settings app looks nice at 210dpi with xposed mod.
You can try the new zip N2_MMaddon_theme_tacchan23.zip - 29.13 MB

Thank you for this nice mod:thumbup: Love the MM theme but it runs only with Stock Dpi bugfree !
With your Mod.works fine with 240 dpi only one thing (look screenshot) . Can you say me were I find this png ?

I set the build prop to 240 dpi with a Editor .
I change the system Ui apk to test it but this png is still there after the change!

Does this create a backup in case we want to revert?

If you want to try to fix it, you can have a look at the checkbox images inside my zip (vrtheme\system\framewrok\framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi) and resize all of them about 1.5 time smaller.
Honestly I am not very good with how different dpi works... I'll have a look when I have some free time if you can't fix it too.

It creates a backup of all files being modified in /cache/vrtheme-backup/
But honestly I never tried to restore it nor I honestly know even how to do that (if it's a flashable zip backup or what etc)

On Sunday I have time to look into the framework

Realy cool

thanks a lot buddy working fine here on stock dmg1 firmware :good:

Hey
Nice looking theme. Can you explain something to me though. Every time I apply a theme with simplistic framework the toggles in the notification pull down never look like they should. They always have a bluey green back ground. I can never seem to get them as they are ment to be. Any ideas why this is?

I hate this "5 Limit Thanks per day" ****.
I would've hit Thanks, but I'm crashed out.
Anyway, nice theme.
Downloading now.
btw: Fully white out the numbers, because weird people can still crack the last four numbers. My wife gets phone calls long ago about people breathing heavy and ****. Had to change her phone number.... I used to develop ui and themes for symbian os, nokia's, before going to Android. I'd white out parts of the number, and i started getting those for the wife's phone (her phone was my dev phone)
just my 2cents
Pretty sweet dood, had sone framework edits done to the latest bionix and flashed this and looks way better than how I had it.
Thanks a lot.
So which rom/roms is this capable with......like Trigger 2.1.1 is way different than 2.5 etc.

Okay thank you...im about to flash over EDT 2.2.1 Beta2 Will Report back with results!
You did a nice job putting this together
Seems to work great with 2.5.
Unfortunately since 2.5 uses LauncherPro, didn't see those cool dock icons.
Also, in Metamorph, Pick Existing just opened files like a file manager and didn't apply. Only way I could bring up "apply" was through the extract screen.

under pick existing theme, yes it does look like a file manager, you just go into BlueTrigger folder, and click the .xml file, and it will bring up all subthemes that are associated

That's possible but theme mods take too much time...
it took me 9 hrs to make this blue theme only... I am seriously not joking... And here less feedback...
So you think i should consider making more..?

Just giving an input, but IMHO the theme is a bit too busy and make it the opposite of word 'elegant' don't you think? I mean:
1. the text shouldn't use serif font, because that makes the device too old timer.
2. popup should not be transparent because that makes us can't concentrate on the choices.
Just my 2 cents, but i like the lock screen
^^^ thanks for input...
Don't know what you meant by 'too busy'... Tried to customize it as much as i could...
The fonts are not included... It's my own personal fonts... i mentioned in first post... You will get default fonts...
Pop ups are semi transparent... And easily visible...
Wait for Green one... . It's 90% done.. Maybe u like that more...
My feedback after 1 day of using your theme.
I love the lock screen, it's really nice! Icons in settings are also very good (although it's missing for the Sony Ericsson - it could be color as well). I like status bar icons (USB connected, etc). The semi transparent menu is not bad. It looks much better than on the screenshot ;-)
But I don't like the blue buttons and the battery icons also could be better ;-) I like the battery icons as this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437686 ( 5) HTC Stock Battery Mod)
You could also add semi transparent notification dropdown (as on this picture: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/rpfyt79rjfgnwtv/device1.png)
I really liked NT sense theme, maybe you could port it? NT Sense + your locking screen would be perfect!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970459
Regards.
Thanks jjdoctor. Could you please give us the tutorial to create this?

Thanks for the feedback guys... I am also thinking about changing button color.. I though it will match the theme.. But gradient on buttons is kinda different...
those cm7 icons give it aosp look but i feel HTC Sense has good icons comparatively...
Planning to change icons of stock applications...
Battery icon was to match blue theme... I have already that HTC stock one for my Green theme...
Only two themes for now as i want to improve the present themes... Can't handle too many themes at one time...
do you really want me to make status bar semi transparent? That really doesn't look Nice imo... But if you guys want, i can make that...
P.S: sharing is caring... I won't keep theme mod editing secret.... You can ask any question you want about 'how to make it...'
you can do your innovations by editing the theme or make one yourself..
Theme icons and other things lie in framework-res.apk in res/drawable-hdpi
All are png files.. You need to have png modding skills
I don' think you should do any transparent statusbar. It's either you have to get rid of the date label, or let the date label overlaps the notification icons when the status bar got expanded. Dunno if you can do better, but that was my experience with other's transparent status bar.

You just need 2 applications for theme modding
1) 7zip to extract res/drawable-hdpi folder from pk i mentioned. You will need 7zip to repack...
2) a good png editing application. You can use GIMP or online png editor..

when trying to install systemUI, I get - "application not installed". How should I install it? Replacing the apk in system folder? What permission to set?

first of all rename systemUI-Updated1 to systemUI.. move it to system folder mount r/w.. change permission to rw-r--r-- n move it to app folder n replace the original systemUI.. btw wat rom ru on??
First of all thx for the work at this little improvement.
One little observation. When i have the date and time set to 24H the clock look like this %25.%31.%Y it's solved when i change to PM/AM format, but in my country we use as default the 24H format so please try to solve this little inconvenient.
I have attached 2 screenshots to be clear how it looks when the 24H is enabled and how it looks when AM-PM is used.

forget about battery, I like the blue "circle" around percentage, but I would love white clock and date when notification pulled down, not blue as it is in update1... So black background with white numbers and letters:silly:
'cause I'm using stock xperia launcher that has all white fonts, and am probably not the only one

white font noted.. will get it in the next update
updated with white text
let me know if there are any probs..
Thanks! It works perfectly! Although the "X" and "O" are still blue, but not a big deal
A little question, maybe not related to systemUI thing - since I installed it I get "android.process.acore has stopped", also when I uninstall an app... It's not causing any problem, everything works like it should...

[7/30][Port][Elegant][Universal/Aroma][Clean ROM 3.5V Mods][Additional Options!]

Please read!
This is my first time doing a universal theme, there are MANY things to keep in mind.
1. Flashing this will vary with every rom, why?
- Every rom is built differently, for example Beans has many XML edits to make the text blue therefore on some roms your text will be stock.
- There can also be edits done to XML's to point to certain images, if you flash this on a rom and it doesnt look like the below images, thats why.
2. VERY important if you guys want this as complete as possible.
-VRThemes work by finding your APK and then extracting the images into its place. For example if you have Gmail.apk in data/app and I have the Gmail app named, "com.google.android.gm-1.apk" then the theme will not apply. Some roms will have some APK's named differently. If you come across something that isnt themed, simply use ES File Explorer and find the proper name for your .APK (usually located in system/app) and PM me with the APK's name and what rom you are using.
Dont forget to hit thanks, its the least you can do.

I SERIOUSLY got the transparency mod 100% working, there shouldnt be anymore problems. I also added an option for 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% transparency.
7/29/2013
Fixed an issue where Hangouts/Talk were being removed. Fixed the transparency mod thanks to Ohh_Trenton!
7/26/2013
Removed hangouts due to video chat breaking.
Updated Gmail and Play Store.
Added boot animations.
Added transparency mod. (Beta: May cause problems.)
6/4/2013

Teal clock option.
Teal carrier logos.
Teal toggles.
White toggles.
Replaced the check boxes.
Updated Play Store? Or did I already do that?
Fixed the "in-call" banner to be blue instead of green. This only works for Clean ROM SE 3.1.
Removed lock pad from the lockscreen.
All carrier signal bar and 1X, 3G, 4G are themed. I dont know if I already did that in the last update but yeah.
Aroma is now ICS blue . Looks neat.
5/21/2013 - Added Blue and White clock color options. Revamped the, "mods" menu. Changed the toggle icons for the stock Samsung toggles and lidroid toggles. Themed more white and blue 1X, 3G, 4G icons for other carrier's and international roms.
5/16/2013 - Fixed the Gmail problem, it works perfectly now. Added a selection for white status bar icons! Added the default Elegant wallpaper. 146 S-Pen hover icons and 33 sounds to pick from.
Added Clean ROM SE 3.1 mods. You can pick from:
100% Increment batteries with 13 blue batteries and 8 white batteries.
Carrier logos with 36 different options.
100% and 50% transparent statusbar. (DONT USE 100% STATUSBAR TRANSPARENCY WITH WHITE STATUSBAR ICONS BECAUSE SOME APPS WILL MAKE THE STATUS BAR WHITE.)
4/26/2013 - All I did is fix something in Aroma and themed the in-call statusbar mute icon.
4/23/2013 - I've added Aroma! You can pick between stock battery and 1% increment battery (this varys by YOUR ROM.) Added a themed loading icon, fixed the "in-call" icons to better match the rest of the theme, themed all icons to the right hand side of the status bar to ICS blue. If you notice something isn't themed PLEASE let me know.
4/15/2013 - Initial release.
Notes:
If using Nova and the icons dont display then go to nova settings>look and feel>icon theme>default.

Hi,
Confirmed working on Omega ROM.
First theme I tried for my Note 2. Thanks!
One question, if I want to edit something from AROMA again, do I just wipe dalvi cache/cache and run the AROMA again?
Confirm fully working on my galaxy note2 N7105 stock rom.
Thanks

Would it be possible to remove the app icons (camera, contacts, music player, etc) from base theme and make it a separated option?
Thank you for the great theme.

hi @glfsd
love your mods (especially the black transparent notification and the Analogic Clock in "no recent panel")
i installed the mod without the power button in statusbar and FULLREC No1
all works perfect.
i just modified your mods a little bit
a) changed the navbar buttons to the ones from the sappy theme of @niaboc79
b) changed all icons in settings into grey from the brown copper theme of @niaboc79
c) went back to no tinted navigation bar (tut by @idid idamrep
for me now eXistenZ MM 5.1.0 is fantastic and almost perfect.
