Just re-enable % in settings, for wfi: it will come back when signal strength changes. I got it on auto start on boot with no problems at all.

if gmd auto hide soft keys crashes and you don't see it some secs or minutes you launched an App or game, then the only thing you need is an App called bar control, wich allows us to launch apps from the status bar... in the case of real racing 3, what i do when i'm done playing this game, is to go to settings, then i select the google+ button, when i select that button, the status bar automatically appears and just scroll it down, select gmd and gmd is launched... in the case of asphalt 8, i have to block the screen with the power button, then actívate the screen but without unlocking it, and scroll down the status bar... i know it's not the best way we can enjoy our gmd auto hide soft keys, but with this method, rebooting isn't needed anymore....... i hope i helped you. Try converting the app as SYSTEM APP and if you have Xposed with the APP settings installed, you can also set it as Resident to avoid it being killed by the system's OOM manager.

[Tip] Lock screen with double tap on non-stock launcher

As you know, if you change from the stock launcher to a third party launcher you can only double tap on the notification bar to lock by default.
However, if you use a launcher that supports gestures (Nova Prime, Apex etc) you can download this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
And then have your launcher launch the app when you double tap.
I tried this on my Optimus G and it works like a charm.
All thanks goes to the creators of the apps ^^
Great find, I dug and dug in Nova actions trying to find an answer for this. Thanks
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk 4
Or if you have Tasker you can use that with Nova. Create a Tasker Task with Display --> System Lock. Then in Double Tap under Gestures and Buttons goto Shortcuts --> Task Shortcut and select the Task created.
Thank you, I tried a similar app from a different developer in the play store and it did not work properly. This is great!!
great/ i really needed this ;D
The animation for the screen off is not smooth.
I like to use smart launcher. Sucks that double tap to sleep won't work. Can't wait for some custom kernels

Nice find, thanks!
I use this along with Nova and WidgetLocker. Is there a way to turn the screen off from the lockscreen? Currently, I still have to double tap the status bar at the top to turn the screen off while on the lockscreen.

I just bought tasker 5 minutes ago. I'm still learning the ropes. Do you mind elaborating on this step by step. I don't see gestures and I'm a little lost lol.
Sorry for the rookieness.

Great tip for Nova Prime users. Works perfectly. Thanks!
Here's what I'm looking for. A Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app, which works perfectly. The only thing it can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.

The G2 is on my short list for my next phone. I'm still on a Note 1 and I don't have a G2 so I am not sure what the lockscreen is like on it. Can you add Shortcuts to the lockscreen? If so then you can utilize Tasker and Secure Settings (root required). This app really completes Tasker. With Secure Settings you can utlize the Shortcuts system in Android and have Secure Settings shortcut to a Screen Off Tasker Task or any other Tasker Task like a scene or something.
**EDIT**
You could shake or do a custom gesture while on the lockscreen to trigger the screen off task (or even turn on the flashlight) with Tasker.

We're just talking about locking here right? I saw some people saying they couldn't unlock it with a custom launcher, but I'm running Yanex Shell (Super beautiful on the G2!) and have no problems with it.
However in the first guide it said that I could lock it by tapping the statusbar. I never saw that I could tap anywhere else to lock it?

Where's the shake command/custom gesture in Tasker? I have a "task" created called "lockscreen" but not sure how to enable a shake or gesture from there. I did get the Secure Settings app but not really sure how to apply it here. Again, I have Nova set up where I can doubletap the homescreen and it turns the screen off but what I'm looking for is an app or something that will allow me to doubletap the lockscreen to turn the screen off.
**EDIT** I would love to have it set up where I can double tap the locked screen to turn the screen off but I found this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enlightment.onetouchlocknew that works just by shaking the phone. Decent app but not 100% what I'd like.

I don't think Tasker can directly detect screen taps. Also when on the lockscreen the security policy may prevent apps from listening to taps. I know with GMD Gesture Control it can detect taps and run actions even tie into Tasker. I just tried a double tap with a single finger and that emulates the LG Knock-Kncok Off function anywhere but the lockscreen.
Here is how to have Tasker detect Shaking. You add that Event under Profile.
Be sure to go under Preferences --> Monitor tab then Calibrate Accelerometer near the bottom to get better detection of shaking. Also note there is the Display Off Monitoring where you can tell Tasker to monitor the Accelerometer or Proximity Sensor while the screen is off.
Your best bet may be to just set the screen timeout to be like 5 seconds when on lock screen. Or maybe use Widget Locker as an alternative lock screen that may be able to pass along taps.
**EDIT** Using Widget Locker I am able to double tap to turn off the screen.

How to Hide the Grey Nav Bar on HAM2 Using Emotion UI Settings

Hi All,
It took me a while to figure out, but you can add an option to hide the grey nav bar on an unrooted HAM2 and make it reappear by swiping up. It is somewhat confusing because the nav bar setting is not available if you have your Emotion UI set to the Standard home screen style. You have to apply the "Simple" home screen style first, which is the one with the giant colored buttons for grandma to use.
After you apply the Simple home screen style, go back into settings, select More Settings and then scroll down to the bottom of the list. You will see a new option called "Navigation Bar" has been added. If you press this option you will see a toggle switch for "Hide Navigation Bar" along with some instructions on how to use it. Once you have toggled the switch to hide the navigation bar, you can revert back to the Standard Emotion UI and the setting will be retained.
After I hid the navigation bar I found some apps I had difficulty installing would start to work OK. For example, if you try to install NBA Jam without hiding the navigation bar, it will get hung on the initial splash screen. After I hid the navigation bar, NBA Jam would check for updates and then proceed to the game without any problem.
Hope this helps anyone having difficulty with the nav bar!

This is the Kitkat feature I missed the most. My main motivation to buy a HAM2 was to read novels in it, instead of carrying a smaller phone and a tablet. For that purpose, the screen is stunning, but that dammed gray navbar was always in the way. Not anymore!
Thank you so much for this tip. You made my day!
Wow, nice find!
Now I have a bit more room on this already huge display. Thanks! :good:

This option should be there regardless of what launcher u are using.. It's a standard feature in the settings.. No? I have a China version on 4.4.2.. No sure if there's a difference though..

Only reason I wanted to rood was immersive mode, this is close enough.

WOW!!! Thanks so much for sharing this great find. It works GREAT!!!!!
Thanks given. This was the only reason I was rooted. Along with greenify. Now with the ability to hide the navbar and the ability to disable background apps included in the stock ROM, I really don't have any need for root. I still might use links2sd to install more apps if I hit that 6gb limit. This phone is solid!
Making the navigation bar hidden is called "immersive mode". There are apps on the Play Store that supposedly let you toggle immersive mode. Please post your results if you try one.
I'm guessing those apps will let you switch to immersive mode independent of standard or simple mode.

Remove Amazon Lockscreen Ads for Moto G4 (Nougat)(Easy)

So I recently bought the Moto G4 Amazon Prime Edition(Lock screen Ads and Offers) and had been searching through forums on a way to remove them. Now I know there are plenty of threads on how to remove them but me being not very tech savvy was having a hard time. After the Android 7.0 Nougat update I came across a hidden feature called System UI Tuner. Inside this hidden feature was a setting called Power Notifications. I enabled this feature and tested it out. After a bit of toying with it I discovered you can set app notifications to Level 0 which meant no notifications would be received. I went to the Amazon Offers app in the Notification settings and changed it to block all notifications on the lock screen, when i went to change it to Level 0 I discovered it was stopped from doing so, I could change notifications from level 1 to level 5, but not to level 0. I shut off the screen and powered it back on and whaddya know, all lock screen ads were gone. Here are the steps in detail.
Method #1
1. Pull down the notification shade from the home screen.
2. See the Settings cogwheel at the top right hand corner? Tap and hold on it for around 10 seconds.
3. Once you let go after 10 seconds, you’ll be taken straight to the Settings app with a prompt saying that System UI Tuner has been enabled.
4. You can access the new entry by scrolling all the way down in Settings.
5. Once your in System UI Tuner select the Other option
6. In the Other section select Power notification controls
7. Enable Power notification controls by pressing the little slider on the screen.
8. Now that you have enabled this, go into Settings and then into Notifications
9. Scroll through your list of apps and select Amazon Offers
10. Press the green A to the left of the slider and drag the slider to Level 1
11. Right Below the slider is an option that says "On the lock screen"
12. Press this and select "dont show notifications at all".
You have now removed the ads from the lockscreen of your Moto G4. Hope this method helped you and feel free to leave feedback
Method #2
1. Install Clean Master from the Play Store
2. Open Clean Master and select the 4 squared button at the bottom of the screen that says Tools
3. Under the Useful Shortcuts tab, select Notification Cleaner.
4. Grant the necessary permissions and Enable this feature.
5. Those annoying lock screen ads will now be removed as long as this app is installed.
6. You can go 1 step further and use the same process above and remove notifications from Clean Master.
7. Your phone will now have no ads and no notifications from Clean Master saying you have blocked ads.
Hope this method helped, Feel free to leave feedback
Edit, I worked at the beginning, but after 10 minutes they showed again: s

did you move both the slider and set the lock screen bar to "receive no notifications? Also is your phone updated to Nougat?
Didn't work
Neither method now works. In the first method no button appears to block notifications and lowest setting is a one. In the second "Amazon Offers" app does not appear in list of apps.
Method 1 worked for me. Then I rebooted my phone. Now the ads are back after reboot. I then disabled power notifications and then turned it back on and went through all the steps again and the ads are gone again. I'm waiting to see if this will last until I reboot. I don't reboot my phone very often so this could just have to be done after a reboot.
Edit: well that didn't take long. The ads are back after unlocking my phone a couple times. This is for method 1. I haven't tried method 2. It appears Amazon thought about this possibility.
Edit 2: After using my phone for a while with the power notification settings left active it seems that if any other notification is on the lock screen then the Amazon ads notification does not show since it is a level 1 priority. If there are no notifications, then the Amazon ad shows. So method 1 does work if there are any other notifications showing. It is pretty easy to have a notification showing at all times.
method 2 works for me.
However, I started getting persistent clean master notifications. Used method 1 to get rid of clean master notifications. XD
Edit:
Also it'd be helpful to open settings>apps>show system apps (by clicking on three dots)
Now open amazon offers. Scroll to the bottom, click on modify system settings, disable "Allow modify system settings". This should hopefully stop the app from changing notification priorities.
Neither method work with newest versions.
Method 1: slider is controlled by app

I tried this on my new Moto X4. I was able to set it to 0 but it did not remove the lock screen ads. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you.

I tried this method on my X4 with no luck. However, I was able to set the value to 0 for the Amazon App but not for the Amazon offers as this app is listed as system app. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks... Method 2 So Far So Good
Tried method 1 on G5 Plus and did not work.
Tried method 2 and it worked like a charm. ??

Htuawei Mate 10 Pro - Full Scereen doesn't work

Hello, I have a problem with my BLA-L29 (BLA-L29 8.0.0127 (C432). After startig an app I press the button with the blue text about displaing in full screen mode, then another screen appears wit information about restarting the app anf when I press "ok" nothing happens. The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen is still visible and I can't turn it off. Please help.
Hi ya. You need to set your navigation bar to hide. It will give you an arrow on the left you can press to hide the navigation bar, it will be in full screen but it doesn't hide the navigation bar unless you tell it too. It's under setting, smart assistance, system navigation.

Thank You I've thought that in the full screen mode the navigation bar shoul dissapeat "by itself" without pressing any keys
I'd prefer it, if the bar disappeared of its own accord until you needed and you could pull it up. But you need to use the settings I've shown and the use the triangle shape at the edge. You never know it may change in the future. :good:

App or setting that can disable Notification shade(not notifications) in games.

I want to disable the notification shade entirely as its very irritating mid game. sometimes even pulls down the whole notification area since I use claw many buttons near the top of screen.
google only give solutions to disable notifications not the bar itself.
im currently unrooted and on stock rom don't mind unlocking and flashing if necessary.
I use full screen mode with gestures not buttons like shown in screenshot, enabled for getting using screenshot shortcut only (by long press back button)
