You can download a file manager from the internet or from the Play Store (if you have it)
You can also view your SD Card from your computer via USB cable
Hope this helps

sd's info is shown in settings, but ma apps are not available.

What class your micro sd have?
Are the apps icon not available on app drawer or on manage application screen to?
Can you still view regular file such as photos on your micro sd?
Can you access SD card? (/sdcard/*)
What ROM do you have? (custom one, original one)
Have some tweaks in it enabled?
Are you using EXT partition?
Do you have custom recovery?

Hmmm, than I can't help for now. I didn't find any information about how it works. I have some experience with using of EXT, mount it into system and remap old app folder to use extended one. Bu I don't know, if this app do this by same way...
Don worry. Its not too big a problem.I had this problem before too.I had to fix it the hard way and that is to format it.So,move your important files to your laptop or pc first.Redownload the apps again.Your sd card may be 'contaminated' I guess. That's my solution for you.Hope it helps.

Maybe sumthngs Wrng wid sd.
other mem card wrkng wel n gud.
Make sure that you are using an SD card with ECC. I've had 3 non-ECC cards go corrupt beyond repair after ~3-6 months. I've used a Transcend Class 6 ECC card for 9 months with no issues.

[Q] Micro sd

Hi - Silly question time
Got an 8GB microsd card in the Neo but can't find it in File Manager. Where should it be?
The card is recognised as it is shown in Storage.

use androzip.apk. you can download that in the market...
well open some file manager and go to folder called sdcard
By default any file manager will start on the SD card and if you have to find anything it would in fact be your phone memory...perhaps that's why you can't see it because you think that's the phone memory...when it's actually the SD card?
Told you it was a silly question... Cheers

Can't access my internal storage via mac?

Hello, I am a new poster but have been reading these forums for a couple of months. I have a Droid DNA and am trying to edit my home screen using videos from mycolorscreen on youtube, but I'm having some trouble trying to access my internal storage. I plug my phone with the usb into my macbook, and it shows the device as a cd-rom, and then I click on it and just shows a few random files/ documents that have nothing to do with internal storage. This is what it looks like when I click on it on my macbook (see picture). How am I able to get my device to allow me to access internal storage? thanks
someone please help!

You need android file transfer. Unfortunately, it's kind of clunky, but it gets the job done. http://www.android.com/filetransfer/
It's possible to get MTP to work natively in OS X via macports, but I'm not sure how well it works. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355913

Ive read you can put files for new screen themes into the root of the SD card. I know the root is the main file of the SD card (not in a sub folder) but I don't know any programs that will allow me to put these files directly on the sd card without making a sub folder! can anyone help or know info about this?

All of the methods posted in this thread will let you put files in the root of your sdcard.
My android file transfer wont bring my to the root of my storage, only where my data is, for CM 10.1 its the storage/emulated/0. Ive always just transfered everything there then to the next place and vice versa. Dont know how helpful this is but oh well. When I had my Tbolt plugging it in would allow me to get to the root automatically but trying to do anything with the DNA and Mac is a serious pain.

[Q] How to download onto external sd card?

Every time I try to download anything the default location is the internal sd card. I try to switch it to choose the external sd card but it says "Can't find file or directory. Please make sure your SD card is ready, and USB Mass Storage is turned off."
I can not find the setting for the USB Mass Storage. But I'm able to see the sd card and see the folders and files I have on there with ES File Explorer.
Any help on this! Thanks!
*edit 4/14/2014*
Solved the problem but it requires root. See my tutorial.

In KitKat, write access to external SD card is blocked, you need to wait for a dev to MOD the system to allow for writing to external SD card.

Try using the My Files app that is built in. As it is not third party it should have full access to the SD card
