Hi everyone.
I just got my Amaze 4G ruby ( unbranded ). I unlocked bootloader and installed 4ext recovery and took a backup.
It displays arabic/persian letters separately. is there any patch to fix this?
i want to fix this problem on the stock rom. i don't have plan to upgrade for now.

As you tell that you have backuped ur data .
Then feel free to make a factory reset.
It may fix this for sure.

thanks man. but it had this problem from the beginning. the rom is not for middle east aisa. it's for Singapore !

Salam mahdi87_gh,
Do you mean by keyboard, or by the text displayed even without the keyboard?
You might be able to install a custom keyboard from Google Play, or use an app like locale changer. But those are my guesses. Even though they are written in a similar text, Farsi and Arabic are segregated.
You also might be able to change the font, with a font changer app, but it might not work like you want it to.

Anyone knows if there are any roms out there that suppose to have arabic support for the evo 3D?.
I had a great experience with CM7 on my evo 4G but they have not released anything yet for the 3D.

Temporary solution that I use:
1. Patch your deodexed rom with madmack patch found here. This will patch the framework so you can display arabic within Facebook and Twitter.
2. Go "Market" and download "Opera Mini" set it up as your default browser.
3. Download and install the email client K9Mail Arabic version 3.709 created by Aziz Huss from here
You can basically setup all your email accounts with it (gmail, hotmail, etc)
I sent a request to madmack to patch the file libwebcore.so which is required to display arabic within the stock browser, mail and gmail clients, but have not received any response yet.
Thank you Alammori for sharing the temp fix, that is a great info.
I have tried the email and if fixed 90% of my issues. it is a great solution till we get a rom that will fully support arabic.

DC13 ( ti-X rom creator ) tried to wrap the arabic framework from CM7 and i was trying with him... didnt work... it just changed the fonts to a smoother fonts than the google ones... but still nothing.. am waiting on him... hope we find something.. but at least we have facebook .... opera is useless..lol..
we are working on it.. hope things workout.. i still dont understand why google is doing this... though the tablets running 3.0 honeycomp already have full arabic support... we will try to take the framework from there.. but alot of issues....
I want to thank everyone that replied to this thread and everyone that is is working on this issue. I am just learning about how these roms are working. It seems that google changes the location and the file that is suppose to handle language support.
is it the fonts in the framework that need to be worked on, or is it file libwebcore.so that need to be modified?

well, i didn't try it, i can't read arabic, i can only speak it(born n raised in the USofA), so this is not useful to me... i was just saying thanks (in arabic with english letters ) for trying to bring a fix... i'm sure once some of my relatives get the 3D i will be trying this for them

Here is what I find so far, I have tried 2 roms so far (sensless1.1 and viperrom) but when I apply the patch from the recovery menu then reboot. The phone get stuck on the first htc white screen, and I will have to remove the battery and flash a fresh rom to get passed it.
Is there a recommended rom that this patch was made for?

hmmm open the zip and going to /system/lib and remove android runserver and then flash

here is what happened ...i removed the android runtime then flashed the arabic patch ...the phone is not getting to the home screen ..it keeps loading but nothing but it getts to the lock screen ...i went to my email from the lock screen and the arabic works fine but the thing is still can get to use the phone only to the shortcuts of the lock screen ...any ideas ?

ok try deleting everything in the lib folder besides libt9.so and libwebcore.so

AFAIK, this is a bug with the ICS FW.
1.58 firmware is out. That should fix it. I will try to see how the rooting works on it, so I can try it.

- The textures of the hand are black
- The map is black
- Sometimes the app closes without any advertisement
and when close the game for 1 second all the map back to the normality!

From Google Play! i have downloaded third times and the problem continuous!
Take this advice I'm going to give you and apply it to all your app related issues, email the ddeveloper, they always get back to you and try and give you the best advice, and may even include bugfixes in their updates.

I think it is something with the ICS update so we have to wait to developers to solve it.
Try this little trick: when the game loads (and the black screen with sound appears), press the lock button, when you unlock your phone the game kinda work with correct textures :good:

This is my first android app, so please be gentle
I was using bump a lot lately and found the 20MB limit a bit annoying. In their FAQ they mention "We limit the file size because larger files take a much longer time to transfer. We want you to have a speedy and great Bump experience!". Well, yes, naturally. The bigger the file, the longer it will take. But that's exactly what I wanted. So I made this small xposed app that removes those limits.

You can now send files that are above 20mb using bump after you install and activate this module. Can't use it without xposed framework.

The recipient doesn't need to have the module installed. It's only checked when a file is being selected.

Just had a quick look at whatsapp, but I don't think that it's a good idea, since the files are being transfered to a central server. I've got a hunch that people might get banned if I start to lift that limit.
I think that viber is more 'peer-to-peerish'. So I guess that the next one will be viber

Ahh... ok... I really was confused. It's been a while since I used gingerbread . Since the xposed framework only officially works with jelly bean+, I though that I would apply the same restrictions. But I it should very likely also work with anything lower than that.
