I messed up the paint on the aluminium. Help! [photo]

Hi! I'm using a white non-LTE Xperia Z Ultra. Today I happened to mess up the aluminium frame when I was sitting in the chair playing game on my PC. My Xperia Z Ultra slipped out of my pocket and hit the floor! It managed to scratch/peel off the paint on the aluminium frame at the edge. How do I fix this? Please help!

No.. I'm not going to disassemble my phone 'cause I think it'll not be waterproof again. Just like my Z.

if you are really bothered with the paint going off you can go to a local store and have them match the colour. Sand down the surface, clean, mask of the other areas and paint

I'm pretty sure I've read about the full frame made of aluminium. But then I read that the aluminium is covered with paint (I guess to have the same colour on every single device).

The top and bottom is a plastic otherwise there would be issues with the antennas getting shielded off. The sides seems to be powdercoated while the top and bottom perhaps is laminated as you do when you print labels on to plastic boxes. Melting a piece of plastic onto the surface.

You know what? You're actually right.
I went to check the infographic that Sony published a while ago (
)
and confirmed that only the sides are made of aluminium.

What?? I mean: WHAT??
It was an article on the official blog and on Xperiablog.net, which I check like ten times a day to see if there's any news on updates for our Ultra...

So main frameis not made of aluminium as I thought earlier.

Well, the graphic isn't indeed that clear...
It says "side panels", not specifying which sides... it may refer to every side, since top and bottom are sides too...
Extract from an early interview on Z Ultra design:
So I guess they say "sides" and actually mean "ALL sides", which makes sense, as with the word "sides", if not specified, you 99% mean all of them...
So it may be all aluminium and all covered with paint...

Nice! How do you like using it? I had a different kind of bodyglove case when I had a Captivate and i really liked it.

I used it for a while then missed the naked feel then my phone started to crack in the back. Although when using it I dropped it many times and barely a nick on the case and nothing wrong with the phone.

Isn't case like these will make the temperature of the phone go up? It'll decrease the battery life if it's hot.

Hasn't been an issue for me, but I don't game on my phone so it's never pushed hard. Only thing about this case I don't like is how slick it is. I'm going to spray it with some flex seal rubber in a can for some extra grip lol.
This case is nice - only complaint, is is very slick, it will slide off tables very easily. I'll try adding stickers or something to it.

[Q] Anyone using those metal bumper casing and having issues with mobile signal?

I am speaking of those metal casings that are used yo cover the sides only....does anybody face signal loss after putting them?
Yeah, you're not alone. I bought a metal bumper case from eBay and the moment I put it on the GPS was shot and mobile signal was less than stellar. The bumper was lovemei if you're wondering.
I also tried a metal back door cover but got the same results.

Metal cases (bumpers) are a terrible idea. You will de-tune all 6 of the antennas on the Note 3 as they are all located on the perimeter of the device...right where you put a block of metal.

usb connector flap for z3 [copper variant]

Hi folks, the soft pad on my usb flap (copper z3) has gone completely and the flap is almost useless now.
I was looking for a good replacement (if not original). Could someone (who has already bought) guide me the best place to buy the same?

No, just use some force to pull the old flap out but be careful to not break the screen while pulling it. For the new I used a toothpick to press it inside as the top is a little conical to fit in
