I am uploading it... please wait ^_^.

Are you sure is going to Root the Xperia Z Ultra?, as far as I know there is no root available yet?
Do I just have to plug the USB cable and start on option 1?

[FIRMWARE][6.0.A.3.73][LT26] Xperia S{Cust: 1257-8080 - Lebanon Generic}[29.03.12]

A new firmware release was out for Lebanon, so I've decided to repack and release its firmware.
I've removed simlock.sin from the official decrypted package, and reused the 67 UK firmware's loader.sin
LT26i_6.0.A.3.73_Generic Lebanon (1257-8080).ftf
[link]
mediafire 3-part - thanks to keunhuvac
[part1]
[part2]
[part3]
I'll post further details of the firmware in a bit - meanwhile I'm packing it as well as uploading it to online upload sites. I haven't found any decent ones - so I am going to use sendspace for now (really appreciate it if anyone has spare webspace or service that I can upload this to).
Firmware is tested on my Xperia S Black (HK - 1257-0869)
I will also post a prerooted system.img for this firmware later today (Thanks to my 4G connection in HK, it's so slow )
p.s. mistakenly reported this as SG firmware, it's in fact Lebanon Generic. Please accept my apology.

What about bloatware like Music Unlimited and other stuff? What is uninstallable without root?
Do you know what this update brings over .67?

There isn't any guide that I found myself, but instead bits and pieces from everywhere.
I'll compile a guide later this week to summarize all the steps of making a pre-rooted image

This was basically meant for developers. Once SP is officially released, someone can make a ftf file which can be flashed with flashtool.
The new wallpapers aren't there yet
Have a look at Livewallpapers.apk and LivewallpapersPicker.apk

Hi Sir,
Actually this thread was in the General Section of Xperia S before it got moved here. All the comments before your post were written when this thread was in the General Section. But of course we will follow the rules strictly now.

[Q] build.prop for Moto X ingress

Exactly what the title suggests, will the s4 be able to spoof as the Moto X for ingress for the new weapon? And will it be possible to only spoof that app? And what kind of harm can come of this?
Edit:.. I meant to say the new Droid ultra/maxx/Mini one of those should work.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda premium
remember how quick they made the galaxy photosphere camera work without hacking the build prop? this should be a couple days tops. I heard that only the motorolas can get the new bursters from hacks. but all can fire plus they will probably be dropped from codes like all the new mods.

If we could get a hold of the build.prop from the Moto X, we could copy the ro.product.brand, ro.product.name, and ro.product.device information, that would probably work. :good:

I replaced ro.product.brand, ro.product.name, and ro.product.device with information from one of the other released phones, and when launching ingress got a bonus intro package of gear for using the new Motorola device. So changing them does work.
I won't tell you which phone or what the values I changed them to are though, as technically it's cheating. I did just to see if it would work.
I'm still questioning the morality of using the ill-gotten items myself, may end up just recycling the items while at 100% XM and revert to my original build.prop.

Gee thanks..
Didn't work for me.
I wonder how the Google always listening feature works on the moto x? Is it just like some of our features where it barely works? Or is it straightforward? Would love to have that ported and run on our phone.

And I think we need the droid ultra/maxx/Mini to get that. I know I said the wrong name. Currently haven't seen the forums show up yet.

I sideloaded it and made sure I had selected Survival mode in SuperSU before I flashed it. You can be rooted but no system files could have been removed/modded. I mean if anything in the system has been changed it will fail. Things can be added but nothing from the original system can be removed/altered
Thanks a lot for capturing this
2 questions here:
1. Is there a changelog we can see to know the changes in this fix release?
2. I'm running stock 4.4.2 un-rooted, how do I flash this update? (sorry I'm a newbie to this specific device)

There are 7454 changes made between 4.4.2 and 4.4.3, so... good luck with that
Android Police is probably going through it now, and I guess they'll post about the biggest changes when they're done (in a year or three I guess)

Tried to sideload the package got the following error message:
file_getprop: malformed line "0No #### Merging of the /util/data/semc_kernel_time_stamp.prop file ####" /system/build.prop not a prop file?
E:Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted...
It'd be nice to see this just holistically packaged into a base 4.4.3 ROM, for those of us that have modified the /system partition.
this could be useful

@OP
can u disk dump the system image? and upload it?
you can use the command:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system of=/data/media/0/system_dump.img
you can do this by hotbooting my recovery kernel:
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
then mounting the /system & /data partitions and then do the system partition dump

Okay, so I guess the OTA is rolling out now. It should happen now people. Sorry to bother you again, for the fortytwelfth time @DooMLoRD, but could you hit the update button? Also, i find the lack of activity in this forum (ZU forum in general) scary low. There's been like under 10 posts today in this whole sub-forum.
We're here!!! Just been busy today

I have the update it is a 154MB zip and am trying to upload it to my Box account. After that I am willing to restore to stock, flash update then pull what you need. I will require some instruction for mounting system and data. Awaiting your command.
Edit... Here is zip if it helpful (think i seen 89MB mentioned for another upload?) https://app.box.com/s/xj64bp19t79o0enpuxo4
Nice! I'm flashing it now!
Just kidding! I'll eagerly wait for the full ROM, which I guess isn't that far away (I hope)
