Need help! - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

My phone is Xperia Ray ST18i (rooted with BL unlock)
The question is that whatever I flash ICS custom ROM or even the stock one they all goes lag. Try to do full wipes, put it away for 1h after flashing new Rom. And also I try to change all the ICS kernel still no luck
Any tips or tell me why would be helpful to me,
Sorry for my English

I had that problem till I changed my kernel and used all the wipes available on CWM. Then did a fresh ROM install and installed fresh apps...

Official Support of Xperia Neo V by Cyanogenmod

Finally Cyanogenmod has started supporting officially our Neo V.
Here's the link of the first RC for Xperia Neo V (haida): http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=haida&type=
To make it work use kernel 126 from FXP
Have anyone tried that yet? Becouse after flashing kernel from zip can't turn on my phone (black screen for whole time) and with fxp kernel cant install zip.
I've just tried it, same result...the kernel didn't even boot...
At least from now on CM is going to support us..
Enviado desde mi Xperia Neo V usando Tapatalk
Sounds good, coz most custom ROMs are based on CM. Let's hope that we get a stable release
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk 2
Once it got stable i would update paranoid lol
Where I can found changelog for official cm9?

it shouldnt boot.after you flash kernel you must enter recovery and flash zip.(except if you mean that it doesnt get into recovery too)
i dont know
although i thank people at cm for their effort
and Im grateful
Its way to funny that a small change in hardware (camera ) hasnt led so far to the suppport of Neo v
On the other hand I havent tried cm but think there are many users that are using cm
SO ITS A BIG SUPRISE TO ME
cm supporting Neo v and the device doesnt boot
In other words do they have to reinvent the Wheel
I m burning my brain cells hearing this and why should anyone even bother posting 130 mb that dont even boot.
Sorry for wasting your time on behalf of the poster
End
at last some gud news .............
it's great !!!
waited for a long time

Is it just me, or is cm9 too laggy?
I mean homescreen scrolling is unbearable, even turning off wallpaper scrolling it feels choppy, ram usage is high even on a fresh install and the overall experience is worse even than stock ics.
I understand it's a work in progress and I really appreciate all the work that is done every week, but shouldn't the core idea be to provide an overall smoother and lighter experience?
As little as I have tried CM7 it managed to do exactly this and do it good, disregarding the things that never got to work.
Anyway I'll keep coming back every week and trying each new build hoping my issues will be fixed someday..

(MT15a) Ics to GB with ICS theme!

Hello, I have a NEO (MT15a) running 4.0.4 Global. I am using it about 1 month and its good with SuperCharge but the problem is with laying Games. Many games are not optimize for ics and not working. So, I want to go Back to GB stock 4.0.2.A.0.62 but I really like the theme of ics and sweep to close app feature and improve camera. So, what I want is GB stock 4.0.2.A.0.62{(MT15a not MT15i) (pre rooted would be good)} and how to Root it + I want Ics theme/look.
Can anyone provide me an ftf of GB stock 4.0.2.A.0.62(MT15a) pre-rooted or How to root?
U want root your 0.62 right? If yes, u need to do this via fastboot, will send you a tutorial if I will find him

Neo V fast-good looking ics based rom-kernel

Xperia neo V
CWM:5.0.2.7(I think)
Hi I am was bored of the stock rom and I am looking for a better one ...
I found so many of them. I cant see the difference.
I am looking for a fast and good battery life ics based rom-kernel(all say night elfs is good) coz load my phone with apps that I might need on my sd(class 10)
I found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313445
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623940
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738055
I dont know what else is out "there". :cyclops:
I've patched BL.with (" r ")
Have anyone tryed custom roms for neo v to tell me which one will be good for me?
also its my first time I try to flash custom. I think I've done something like that for .62 GB I dont know / for root trick
(English is not My Primary Language)
Well there is only one way to know. You have to try them all.
About installing the ROM, follow the instructions the ROM dev gives you and you'll be fine.
Sent from my MT11i using xda premium
Head into the dev section, there you'll find loads of custom ROMS..
And just like @DeathCzar said you have to try all of them to know which one is better in terms of looks, performance and battery life!
It all depends from person to person..
Some ROMS which we love you might not like much!
So it's better to try them on your own and then review them!
All the best!
Sent from my Xperia Neo V using Tapatalk 2
ok good
can say fast-clean roms only?... I hate for ex.when I open the dialer to wait 20 secs and then type the phone number.
tell me from the roms had you have tried.
I dont care about fancy homepages or animations. I want Performance .
All ROM devs aim for what you say. But I'd suggest you try AOKP ICS/CM9 if you want most of the things working + speed.
Also if you need HDMI, try any stock based ROM.

i can use night elf kernel?
and coz I am new to custom roms why some guides say to flash it with flashboot and some guides say only install with wipe from cwm? and if you install with cwm you install at the same time new kernel?
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=haida&type=stable
Edit: I think I got it.CM9.1 with night elf kernel ....
the only thing I dont like is "SIM network unlock PIN"
It's better to use the kernel that is inside the zip file of the ROM!
And for your doubts, kernels are flashed through fastboot and ROMS are installed through CWM..
And when installing a ROM we wipe data, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache and any other thing as mentioned by the developer of the ROM!

Is it true ICS on Xperia Neo V is full of bugs?

I want to try ICS on my Neo V however from I'm reading it's too buggy. Can anyone with the official ICS confirm if this is true or not. Thanks in advance
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk 2
if you're gamer, stick with GB, but if you're regular user. then sure go ahead, it have some bugs, but definitely NOT Full of bugs.
& if you modified your Rom with Xperia S/T/Go etc application, you gonna love your New Rom
Its not full of bugs...
Its laggy though but no battery drains whatsoever..and with some tweaks it can be reduced,to an extent...
Still it can't match GB

I would try the ROM by myself. If you're not satisfied with it and you don't want to try custom roms, then you can flash back via flashtool.
Its consider all with what you install
Advice: flash a custom rom based on ICS or JB, way better

"Full of bugs" is improperly said. The only bugs are Led notification working only for calls, and camera sound recording is mono and a little [email protected] stock launcher is kinda laggy, but the newest Xperia Jellybean launcher is super smooth. If you're a gamer, stay on GB,if not upgrade to 4.0.4. I'm using stock 587 moded with many apps/features from Xperia S/T/V,so now it doesn't even look like a 2011 Xperia,it looks like a NXT Xperia, and i definitely love it.

nothing to fear, this is something every one faces atleast in the beginning, just flash stock firmware, and redo the steps correctly, if u want a one shot fix, use SEUS and repair the phone, it will do the installation work.
