KEXEC for Sony Xperia Go - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hallo, after two days of trying to make kexec working, got it working! Its based on hard boot kexec! We can create now multiboot menu and boot multi roms without need for flashing them!
Download kexec kernel and kernel modules + kexec tool (Ex.Se.update_5.zip + kexec):
- http://d-h.st/users/munjeni/?fld_id=23220#files
NOTE:
- Ex.Se.update_5.zip is compatible only with my Extreme Security JellyBean rom !!! simple install zip like update without wiping anything.
- kexec can LOAD ONLY KEXEC PATCHED KERNELS, so you need to patch kernel which you going to boot!!! Kernel changes is here -> https://github.com/munjeni/android_kernel_xperiago/commits/jb-dev (changes from Aug 09, 2013 to Aug 18, 2013)
How to load kexec:
- kexec --load-hardboot zImage --initrd=initrd.gz --mem-min=0x3000000 --command-line="$(cat /proc/cmdline)"
Since something is missing in kexec kernel (long time boot) I need help for locating problem!!!
Tool for extracting zImage, initrd.gz and cmdline is in attacment (you can extract these things directly from boot partition but allso you can extract these thing from boot.img) !
Happy playing! Enjoy!

i waiting for your update.. tq

this is great!!!

Wow its great. Many thanks:thumbup:

Test kernel + kexec is ready, see first post for instructions and download! Waiting your help in full fixing kexec (need to solve problem related to the very long boot time) If we fix them next task is multiboot (will make them based on recovery, allready started, its white skin... -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409293)

Good news for all you, kexec is finally full working (will make new kernel for you soon), reboot time is beloow 5 seconds which mean we are ready for multiboot feature
Created right reboot function and now everything working perfectly!

How I saied I can't keep developement, I have to work and to study. It's an old work so I don't remember exactly but I saved it like "advanced stock kernel on 184fw"
so i didn't do great things, it's the stock kernel with recovery, preroot and some features in ramdisk maybe but nothing else
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
Is this faster than SSpeed kernel?
If You use roms based on the .184 fw
(TheBrainsRom and XPeria Supercharged) yes, it's smoother.

King's Rom X-Clean ICS
It is based on 4.0.4/6.1.1.B.1.10 stock firmware.
Yes ICS have a lot better graphic interface and allot other great things, so i unpack this system.sin and delete all bloatware stuff and after that i just start tweaking and editing what ever i was able to and what i think it will be great. So only few things is important in this buIld and those are VIDEO RECORDING WITHOUT LAGS, GAMING, EVERYTHING IS JUST GREAT AS IT COULD POSSIBLY BE.
In first place i was making this for my self but after final result i was impressed by this BUILD. It is FAST, SMOOTH, GREAT TWEAKED (am telling this by my experience, 3 days of testing and daily use).
In zip file there is Stock kernel by MUNJENI latest full as boot.img

CM 9(Free Xperia) for locked bootloader.

Hello everybody.
I wanna post modded FXP for locked bootloader.
!Warning: First boot is very, very slow, can take 5-7 minutes.
So have patience.
It is not my rom, and the bootloader patch isn't mine. I just applied the patch on the rom.
Link for ROM: http://fastupload.ro/4058dce688bd93c07fed0ff4b654f941.html (It's FXP 205)
Bugs:
Same as FXP.
Light bar doesn't work.
You tell me.
- Audio skipping in power amp and some other players( First reported by Hubaqu on page 5, also reported by two others) Possible fix: Increase audio buffer in power amp or other players that support increasing the buffer and/or set minimum processor frequency to 400 instead of 200.
If you wanna patch roms that only work on unlocked bootloader use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2134440
Have fun!
~~~!!!!! Update: Made FXP 207(LiGux) work on locked bl: http://fastupload.ro/36d59e15fea2cdff1c5c6373e7d01493.html V1.0 ( Warning - Bloatware ahead)
NEW : http://fastupload.rol.ro/85b20afd93f8ebb6b65e19bacb354bd5.html V1.1 - Most of junk/bloatware has been removed.
BUGS: Same as FXP
WiFi bug (First time you activate it the system reboots, but then it works)
Led Bar doesn't work
You tell me.
Link for original LiGux(unlocked bl.) rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055679 . Press thanks on the dev's original post to show your support for him!
Link to his profile: http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4877706
If there are any bugs post them on this thread or P.M me and hopefully they can be fixed.
! Don't forget to flash google apps! (Here's a link http://fastupload.ro/7a289717abaad74a835cb46bffec5143.html , any other google apps zip should work fine)
Instruction for installation:
Things needed:
1. CWM Recovery ( You can find thread on how to install it, you will need your phone to be rooted!)
2. Rooted phone
First, you download zip from first post(any of them), next, you extract the zip, and you will find another zip.
Then, you put that zip on phone(Storage)
Then, you wipe data(Factory reset)
Then, install Zip from SD card as if you would do it on any other rom.
Reboot, and wait for OS to boot up.
[Devs-only][WIP][ThinkTank] Dualbooting on Xperia U
Now It's a pain in the *** to test a rom and we have to restore rom or some sort to get back to our daily rom.
And Sony Xperia S had succeeded,I'll take it as a reference and see if we can work on this.
This is not a placeholder.
Link to the Xperia S thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880305
I'll be "investigating" this.And I also need all the devs help. (I'm not really an highly skilled developer,so I would really need some help here)
Devs only please. No request for tester or users that asks for ETA. Do not post any reply unrelated to development on this thread.
Keep it only for devs,and make it clean.
Devs,good luck to you guys.
Dual recovery is needed,I'll start by porting TWRP. (I'll focus on this first)
Wow. This is kick ass stuff.
Similar to what was done in G3MOD, except that here its actually dual boot, with the ROMs installed on internal storage, while there it was implemented in a slightly simpler way by packing multiple ramdisks and extracting system.img files when required to switch between ROMs.
Considering our already existing problem of not having of an expandable storage, G3MOD's implementation seems far more appealing.
I will take a look at this soon enough.
Well I didn't store a lot of things on my device,only roms and some other stuff,my internal storage is actually more than enough.
But that method seems to be more friendly on the internal storage,as we have a lot of unused phone memory. (the place where roms are installed to)
I'll look into that too.
Edit : It seems like the G3MOD project is already abandoned. But we can look at their sources at github.
We could make it load from sdcard by pressing a combination of buttons on Sony logo! We need kernel first of all! But also a way to do it.
We're trying to dual boot different rom with different kernel
I don't believe that we can make it load a different kernel! If we could then we could also let permanently locked bootloaders to do so too! We will have to load it from a single kernel!
I don't believe that we can make it load a different kernel! If we could then we could also let permanently locked bootloaders to do so too! We will have to load it from a single kernel!
In the first thread,Xperia S is able to load two kernel.
why is there always have to be made for locked bootloader?
custom kernel NEEDS an UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER.
how can you use a single kernel?via the patch?
I'll look into it first.
Don't be so offensive! What I want to say is that I doubt we could load two kernels! That's all
Wait...I'm not being offensive,but we might actually found a way to load kernel from other directory in system. (Not entirely sure if that's possible though.)
That actually might be possible! Search for it a little.
The method xperia s use is: pack one kernel with 3 kernels inside it (one kernel for the dual boot menu, and 2 normal kernels)
So it is possible to do
The guys at the Moto Defy forums have it sorted out, using 2nd-init and 2nd-boot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364659
Good luck.
I have about 2GB free so it's enough.
Plus,the plans is to install the rom on phone,not internal storage (working on TWRP at the moment though.)
