So no custom hardware keys?
Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using xda premium

Sounds a lot like ReVolt.... Which is awesome since I love that ROM. Flashing in a few hours or until it's confirmed hardware remap isn't there yet. Great job Untz, I don't know how you can dev for like 5 ROMs at once!

First, does this have custom button remapping? Second, does this have a good stable data connection, like decks latest data drop fixes? Thanks looks like a good feature packed rom

Everything seems to be running good and this ROM is official i just made it right now
Well I been talking to the main Dev lol and also hardware keys are not in here but u could add the menu on the appsi posted it on how to do it
Edit: it doesn't have remapping at the moment but it will

If you really need to remap your hardware keys, there's always the option of manually editing the file in the system. There's a guide floating around out there, just google it.
My instructions:
Go to /system/usr/keylayout
Open file keypad_8960.kl in text editor
Remap I think key 139 to MENU
This is how I would do it but I haven't tested it yet as I'm on ReVolt which allows hardware remapping in the settings. Tell me how it works! :good:

Flashed the rom, tried to install Titanium to restore apps. Couldn't seem to get superuser rights though. No popup showed up, same happened with all other apps that required root. I know I still have root, so a bit confused here

Developer options is automatically enabled by default, so that's not the problem. The problem here is there's no way to let the system have root access. That's what I think.

"I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM10.1 builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. honestly never knew that doing "repo sync -c" would help it go faster
i need to get back to building that kernel, but that'll have to wait a little bit more, finals are coming up
I meant
Code:
repo sync -c
syncs the current branch which is most likely the newest one and saves space and time.

Vanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps. This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with AOKP/CM features and some CM cherry-picks. Keep in mind Jelly Bean is only at the beginning stage of development and there will be minor bugs. Every RootBox releases are stable and always up to the challenge for a daily usage. CM based then I assume? Looks good and I am enjoying the diverstiy of devs right now, so many ROMS already, I've already bought Kcontrol to support the Brick Dev, so the CM base is fine, its just saddens me that I am pretty much on able to use 1 specific kernel, due to CM base. Of course I am going to give it a try because it appears to be among the most advanced implementation right now. Thanks for uploading.

Yeah I totally agree, I am already missing the speaker gain from Franco, but I do love the tap to wake, don't have to fish for the high power button lol
But this is currently the ONLY ROM that has all these features in ONE ROM, most of these features are spread between different ROM's and makes it hard to decide.
Thanks moose. Talking with manuelscout4life, this is aosp based, but must have a few cm kernel aspects. He was going to look into making it work for Franco

Yeah we both love the franco kernel and yes he is in fact gonna see what he can do, but may have to wait till Franco is updated or CM fixes things, not sure just yet.

I am proud to present to you @scott.hart.bti's BeanStalk. This is a build composed off of the CM-11.0 builds with allot of added features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also DerTeufel1980's Hellybean and have been modified to work with current setup. A huge thanks to @DerTeufel1980 and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to @skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
He plan's on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

I can use Banks' Gapps, right? I don't like the plethora of stuff that comes with PA.
How do you wipe Android Secure and Preload? What are those and what will they get rid of?

One super simple (seemingly so anyway) mod that none of these ROM's have is when you hit the Menu soft key (if enabled, and from the home screen) you get to System Settings...NOT the long press on the home screen Settings like widgets, wallpaper, etc.
Only a couple have the option to add a Menu button, NOT showing a static three dot menu.
As minor as that sounds, those are the two things for me that I really look for simply for ease of use. By the way does your ROM include the Caller ID for the Google Dialer? None of these ROM's have it, only the stock ROM does.
When is upload finished?
Best regards

You've been responding all night, posted the alpha in the four o'clock hour, Last edited one hour ago. DO YOU SLEEP BRO?
Seriously, nice work, we really do appreciate your effort and time put into this community and device.

THANK YOU BRO. I am so thrilled to flash this rom. But are there no gapps to flash. And i already backed up internal storage, thank you for your work.
Edit: Just downloading right now, will give you info after flashing. Ok the rom was downloaded and flashed via cwm and twrp but the phone is not surpassing the samsung logo. Its not going far than that. Help needed
Edit: ok finally after 5 minutes the rom entered into the bootloader. Nice Rom is highly unstable, after several attempts to unlock phone, it went to bootloops. Its fine for now. Phone couldn't be unlock or locked, it just reboots itself.
So all in all camera, wifi works. Too many random reboots, fc's, dialer doesn't works, screen rotation works, music playing works, browser fc's, dialer fc's, and phone cannot be recieved and testing other things. Reverted back to stock.
Holy crap never thought I'd see this

NOT ENOUGH BRO!!! LOL. Once I get going I have a hard time stopping unless I'm successful. All in all considering this was a decent accomplishment. Some things needs fixed tho obviously so I wouldn't go forking my i777, s2-common repo just yet but by weeks end I should have some more straightened out. Also similar i9100/n7000 have some defintive differences that have caused my a few issues.

Yes def has some random reboots but that is to be expected this early in the game. And yes it takes between 5 and 10 minutes for the first boot. Trust me, I almost have up waiting myself

Smh must have done something wrong. I see the clock from your latest Shift-Eternal, but no recovery. Thanks for the quick response anyway. Appreciate your work.

Do a battery pull for more than 15 seconds a couple times. Sometimes it sticks. Willing to bet you can get it to boot that way with a little patience. Don't sweat it

I took out the sd and sim which meant taking out the battery. I guess it must have been 15 seconds or longer because I'm now back in recovery and restoring my rom as we speak. Thanks man!
