I'm keeping an eye out for the availability of some power jacket extended battery packs.

The first one is a generic Chinease one that is about availiable on ebay for about $25
The second one is the official mugen one that has recently come out.
Personally I think I prefer the cheep Chinese one. Anyway its all academic at the moment because there are no solutions out yet for the Ultra. Its pretty new out mind so I suspect that when the LTE models launch globally we will see such solutions. :good:

These stuffs does give the phone some extra weight, some may like it for easier handling due to it having more weight but kinds of defeats the purpose of the ZU design.
I'm currently using a 15000mAh powerbank with 2.1A and 1A output options.

You're talking to a man who has a 9000mAH Zerolemon battery on his Note 2
Each to his own of course but my personal preference is to have a powerjacket attached to the device rather than carry around a separate power bank.

Haha no worries, I owned one of the powerjackets for my Note 2 or was it S3, I'm fine with it but just speaking out generally since many users are going for thinner and thinner designs
I generally don't mind added thickness and weight, phones these days are going so thin and light, it makes me feel insecure holding them lol.

Yeah, Its just a shame they didn't see fit to make a bit thicker and go for a 4000 mAh battery.

I was kind of excited when you posted this thread but when I saw the battery capacity and I went "mehhhh"
Cos anything equal to or less than the phone's own capacity.. is a little on the low side. Most of the time we will use the phone and use the power jack at the same time, which means even if it's equal to the phone's 3000mAh it would probably be able to charge it from 1% to say 50% only. Still useful in emergency times (beggars can't be choosers) but like you said, maybe 4000-5000mAh may be a better option considering these cheap China makes usually overstate their capacity and the battery degrades rather fast too.

Well they certainly have more surface area to play with on the Ultra, so lets hope the capacities supplied will be bigger. That's kind of too logical to be a reality though lol

It seems that extended batteries are appearing on the net already, nice, I would like to have something a little bit more beefy than the original one (2200 mAh may be overkill), to be able to use my TD2 on the move while not worrying about saving battery (GPS and wifi while away from plugs for 1 day for example). A battery slightly larger than the orginal, plus the original as a backup, should cover all my uses cases...
The website mentioned the extended battery only price at GBP8.90. Wish buyer may get the goods.

This isn't really a case of "opinion" so much as "estimation." At this point, nobody can say for sure how long the battery life will be on the Inc 4G.
But, we do know that it should certainly be really good. It probably wont be quite as good as the Razr Maxxx, but I honestly think it will come close. The fact that the battery is removable is much much much much much more important for me than a couple extra hours of battery life.
Most days, I'm near a charger for long enough (be it at my desk, in my car, at home, etc.) where battery life is not a concern at all. But when that's not the case, and I need a good battery life (say I'm going to an amusement park for the day, for example), I generally need more than a couple extra hours. In these cases, the Maxxx will last longer but still die prematurely. A removable battery is key in these scenarios.

Same thoughts, just wondering if any contrary opinions. Oh, also screen size on Maxx is bigger=more batt usage.
With a slightly bigger battery and bigger screen and resolution and higher clock speed, the One X beats Maxx in some aspects and is close to it in others... So, with 100 mAH less than the One X but smaller screen and resolution AND lower clock speed, I expect Dinc4GLTE's battery life to be as good as One X and may be better in some scenarios. So, i.e. it may beat Razr Maxx by a bigger margin than One X in some scenarios and close the gap even more or overtake in others...

I'm hesitant too. Personally I do not want to try, as regards the size it is natural that must be the same, does not mean anything. The site is reliable (I have already bought there), however I think that really has the potential

sorry I do not understand much, but a larger battery will not automatically compatible with the 'XU, by force must have the same dimensions. There are really isometric batteries with more mAh capacity (known brands = higher costs)

bought this one off dealextreme last year, no difference with the original battery and seems to get progressively worse quite quickly

By cutting corners like margins for thermal & gas expansion you can squeeze a little more capacity (a 1,8 Ah battery instead of a 1,5 is realistic, although often it's just a fake)...
But as you said an hypothetical better technology will likely be more expensive (and regardless of price you'd only be able to see it in batteries for Samsung S2, S3, S4 and very little other phones )
This all in theory as no brand batteries are often an outlet for dumping subpar cells (which will probably end up being compared to a high quality but worn out battery so they can indeed be better in the short term), anyone can design a plain label and/or change the firmware to make it report a different capacity...

Curious if anyone knows of a lower capacity battery for the N3 or a compatible battery from a different phone? I'm coming from a GS4, and the extra weight of the Note is unwelcome, so I figure I could shave some weight off if I could find a smaller battery. I'm rarely away from a charger long enough for battery life to matter. Considering the 2600mAh of the S4 was roughly double what I need 95% of the time, it would be awesome if there were a compatible battery in the 1200-2000mAh range for the Note3. Doubtful such a thing exists, but maybe someone here knows otherwise? A Note3 with weight comparable to the S4 would be really sweet.

You are the very first to look for a lower capacity battery.... there are loads on ebay, though they may not be lighter. Just look for Note 3 third party battery on ebay which states their capacity as the same as the original. I am sure their capacity will be less.
This is a very light phone, if you think it's heavy try the new HTC one and think again. Even if you replace the battery with a smaller one, the difference will be negligible. Very negligible.

The 1750mAh one in the above post would shave about 2/3 an ounce off the Note, bringing it nearly to S5 weight. I do realize the Note is by far the lightest phone at anywhere near the screen size, but it is still about 30% heavier than my S4 - which is also the lightest 5" phone. I usually carry my phone in a shirt pocket, where the extra weight is more noticeable than in pants pockets. Two-thirds of an ounce would definitely be noticeable. Could also be the difference in whether a phone breaks when dropped, due to less mass during impact.

Keep in mind there is a 0.1V difference... this means nothing in terms of larger devices but we are talking cell phones here... smaller device... you will have to test it for a while... see how your device is effected. Either your battery will take the hit or the phone. The user who tried this reported longer use then he got from his Nexus phone but who knows.
Thanks, SladeZero. If I get the Note3 (most likely will) I will look for smaller batteries with the same 3.8v as the Note. Hopefully these exist and are OK to use. :laugh:

Hello everyone!
First and foremost, I would like to once again thank Zerolemon for sending me yet another product to review. As the title states, it's a 8500mAh extended battery by ZeroLemon for the LG G3 that also comes with its own ZeroShock rugged case.
I only do honest reviews to help companies improve both their current and future products, but to also give an idea to others of what to expect, but also what I think about the product and how well it works.
It has been around one week now since I received the Zerolemon for LG G3 and so far i'm very impressed! It's meeting up to its expectations, both with normal and heavy uses. I'm getting more than double the battery life (compared to the original LG G3 battery) on heavy use and the phone lasts me for about two whole days in standby mode with a full charge (that means charging the phone to 100% and then leave it without touching it until the battery is fully discharged). So as of now, I can't really complain about the performance as it is doing as expected. I previously did a review on the Zerolemon for the Nexus 5 and the material that they used for the case was actually worse than the one they used for the LG G3 case. The LG G3 case has more of a soft and bendable plastic compared to the Nexus 5 version which had more of a stiff/harder plastic. The ports are much more convenient to use on the LG G3 due to the softer plastic material, on the Nexus 5 on the other hand, the plastic seems to be stiffer so the port protection plugs tend to bend back after a few uses and hardly stay back in place (I found that to be very annoying!). All the buttons work like a charm (like always, so far on all the Zerolemon products that I’ve had).
Here are the PROS and CONS about the ZeroLemon for LG G3.
PROS:
* Good grip! Almost impossible to have the phone slip out of your hand(s).
* Does a good job taking a beating! You can basically drop it without worrying that it will break. Just like they state “Double Corner Technology to reduce shock from natural drop angles”. However, it might still shatter the screen on impact since it’s glass.
* The phone lasts more than twice as long! Battery feels like a thing of the past and the least of my concern both after normal and heavy use.
* The port protection plugs are doing an amazing job due to the quality and is no longer a pain to deal with! If it takes softer plastic for better performance, then please stick with that as I’m very pleased.
CONS:
* Too thick? It doesn't feel that comfortable to walk around with and after a while it will leave a mark on my jeans. The phone is clearly sticking out on my jeans (I also have the Zerolemon for the LG G4 that I purchased which has the same problem when it comes to thickness). I do understand that the thickness is mostly because of the battery size and the way that the phone was made, but I think that we can all agree on thinner batteries that does about the same job by taking less volume and possibly more area (kind of like the Zerolemon batteries for the Samsung S6).
* Heavy. This is not Zerolemon’s fault, but it's still a CON in general. I personally wouldn't like my phone to become heavier, bigger and/or thicker just so that I can get more out of the phone. I personally hate limits and like to get as much as possible from a phone with as little weight and thickness (I would say size, but that doesn't completely apply since screen size is important).
I personally can’t wait until Zerolemon releases an extended battery for the LG G5!

I've been using this ZeroLemon extended battery for my LG G3 for almost 6 months now and I liked it very much. Not only it extends my phone's battery life, but most especially, it resolved my G3's "rebooting" issue. After using my G3 for more than a year, I noticed that my phone reboots several times in a day. Most of the time, its when I use the camera and when I open several apps at the same time. After I changed my original LG battery to this ZeroLemon extended battery, I never encountered this same issue anymore.
However, the CONS for me when using this extended battery are the bulkiness and most importantly, you will lose your phone's NFC feature.
This product is great. I get my nfc and wireless charging back on my phone by removing the nfc and wireless charging receiver off my original case and attached it at the back of my phone. I was to purchase a receiver online but I was thinking that there might be compatiblity issues so why not use the original one. I also bought an I-ring and placed it on the bottom part of the phone (because of wireless charging) so that holding on to a bulkier phone wouldnt be much of a problem. =)
My Zerolemon's charger port flap already broke after a year.

Ive had this battery for about a year now and have to say that the battery cells are surprisingly low quality. Mine started degrading after close to 250 charge cycles and now I can barely manage 4hr SOT with this thing. When I first got it I could easily push 10Hr SOT.

After a year I'm still getting between 10 and 14 hours of SOT depending on usage. I think you just got a bad battery. Either that or something is wrong with the phone.
I had this zerolemon battery as well. I thought it might be a good idea for australia to have a long lasting battery. Problem is that my g3 refused to recognise the batterie. I always got a message after booting " no genuine batterie, will shutdown to prevent damage".
I told zerolemon about the problem (seems to be a well known problem) and i did try the "trick" to slide it in slowly with some pressure to make sure all pins got contact, but it didnt help.
Their customer support is hopeless, at least in my case. I didnt get my money back and so i left a bad rating on amazon as well.
I ended up buying a cheap heliotion batterie from aliexpress and this one works amazing, just 27a$ and 8500mah. It lasts between 3 and 4 days, medium to heavy usage.
