There's a terrible deadlock issue on all JSS15J ROMs where the screen freezes for some seconds and then it goes back to normal. PA team had to rebase their work after a few tries and now uses a JWR66V base with JSS15J fixes and improvements. It's still a mystery so far, no one has figured out the root of the problem.

I had the same problem, but if you are using kernel maclwa (11-20131213) you can install the ROM, but when I restart the device gets stuck on the logo.

Thanks bro,i did what you said about using NEW MACLAW kernel 1213,so i replace boot.img in the zip file with that of 1213 boot.img and flash the rom,and it work,it has boot up successfully. Awesome work GAVA97 i like this rom already, bug that i have come across with this rom is "unfortunately google keyboard has stopped" along with the already known bugs of CM 11.But for a first build its a lovely rom.:good:

A few bugs i have come across, back button don't work also volume up and down for audio don't work so i had to go into settings >audio>volume ,to turn up or down volume. The sound quality wasn't good i thought, yes i know its first build so we have along way for all CM 11 based roms to be bug free, but never the less its a wonderful rom,i appreciate your effort.:good:

I don't have bugs you described, only the sound is not loud as in CM11 by Maclaw @desmond462 .
I thought this ROM has HALO and PIE but I don't see it in setting @Gava97?
I see only built-in animation setting. No CRT effect either.

I am still getting those bugs, unfortunately google keyboard has stopped. And as for the volume,it work when i pull down drop down toggle,i can see audio turning up or down but otherwise i can see or hear any difference in volume which means it doesn't work on home screen. As for those things you don't see in setting maybe they are built in features on the Mokee kernel which we are not using, its NEW MACLAW kernel 1213.
Looks Promising..

GAVA97 its a awesome and silky smooth rom,but could you please figure out why it wouldn't install in the first place, because i like to have some of those features you highlighted in the post like ad-hoc connection along with others awesome features that come with that particular kernel.:fingers-crossed:
I really hope a bright future of Xperia U with this ROM and also hope that this ROM doesn't end up incomplete as Official PAC-man ROM by percy.
Also, Sorry for OT.
Will try when I get time and will report the bugs.
For now Exams going to start so will have to wait.

Great? its kinda amazing
Great work done!!
I think its carbon itself that there arent any carbon wallpapers and device tunables are empty....
otherwise the rom is smooth as hell and battery life is great!!
keep up the good work! I would like to see more future updates from you for this rom
BTW this is the only KitKat based rom that has the new DSP Manager working (Y)
So a short impression of the ROM:
Good Memory Management, Great Battery Life but Bluetooth File Transfer isn't working, right?

Haven't test it yet but i think this rom has the same bug with CM11 by @percy_g2
"Built from source" writing up there, so i thought it is not based on CM11, it can be different working-non working list...
The "red border bug" is back.
To solve it just do this:
change build.type "user" or "eng" in build.prop to "userdebug"
Rom is vey fast, but i'll test a little more before doing a fair review.
Thanks!
:highfive:
This rom is awesome and superfast with lots of options and i like this rom very much...
screenies......
thanks for screen
more details
Would you provide us more details about working and not working things ?
because on the official website Xperia P is not listed on the supported devices.
Thank you and keep going with new builds and new features !!

Looks awesome, need to flash this!
One question:
Can I just flash this via CWM coming from cm11 or do I need to flash boot.img from slimkat.zip? Will this affect the performance of SlimKat?
Second post confuses me a little
Thanks for your work!
nop,if coming from another kk rom you shouldn't have problems
Awesome stuff here! Can't think of a way to maximize costumization options further.
Only thing I miss is Gov/scheduler options. But maybe I have to look a little closer since I just flashed it a couple of minutes ago!
Thanks dev!!!

I do not have this rom installed, so I cannot guarantee you that this is correct, but normally you should go to device information, tap "build-number" 7 or 8 times and there should appear 2 more options in the settings menu. Developers options and performance. (Performance can also be located under developer options or under a rom specific option.
Check it out .
Video streaming in apps like Twitch.tv doesn't really work but there is no output in logcat...

Hehe, I tried that already. But dev options are activated by default and there is an advanced options menue that has Superuser and some boot options in it. After tapping the build number several times you get what can be seen on the screenshot (haven't found the secret yet)
EDIT:
Found some other threads where people mention the lack of performance options. Seems they haven't been implemented yet.
It's an awesome ROM anyway. Some flaws from CM11 have been solved and there are loads of opportunities to costumize the living hell out of it, nice.
RC0 is out

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion

another awesome KK rom has come ...
Nice work my friends...hopefully this is the only Roms you plan to port for 2011 xperia devices cause porting only ONE Roms is easy to maintain and plenty of update rather than porting too many of different type of Roms with fewer update and bug fixes....

Oh sorry I forgot to mention, that I of course am using the provided kernel :good:
And I switched back to a nokia 6620, because I can't bear the -in comparison- super long waiting times (yes, anything less than immediate is way too long for me!!!) to get to messaging/phone calling which is for me still the most important reason to have a phone. I don't need games/webs on my way, I'll sell my xperia pro to get an mp3 player. More than I ever needed.
I was not able to boot with provided kernel. I used the Legacy Xperia from their site and it boots.
After 10 minutes of testting: lot of features, very fast. Looking forward to using
How to get to recovery mode? I'm stuck...
