Is this any different than the GPE files pulled in June? The only thing not working well was the video recording.

I'm not sure when I tried it I saw that the video was kinda blurry

I tried this on my Xperia sola and it's working nicely. However, the panorama mode is not that good. Was the 360 panorama feature supposed to work? Because it doesn't work on my phone.(stock Xperia ics ROM.)

Do you mean photosphere? I tried it mine and it works. Try to reinstall the app. Also when you install this app do you get another gallery and camera icon?

Any alternative Video Camera app?

Did you guys find any?
There seems to be no alternative video camera app on Android.
+1. I have no idea why there wouldn't be any. Strange.

Just tested again. Seems to be working. I have set it to full hd but looking at the details of the video file doesn't tell me if it's full hd. Have to transfer to pc and check full details

-Front cam not working
-Panaroma not working
-More battery drain using kernel included in ZIP
-I noticed that file managers work quite slow compared to ICS. CM's official file manager for instance. Even Root Explorer
Went back to CM 9.1

Google Edition Camera app

Works on stock HTC DNA. It does not overwrite the stock camera app. Installs another camera and gallery app. Panorama is pretty cool and better than any market app for panorama I have tried. Pinch to zoom type, zoom adjustment is much easier than stock zoom. Has some Front camera settings. Sound is very low on videos but picture quality is good. So far I'm liking the Google Edition Camera

This is what a dev told me when I had open a thread about it...
QUOTE=v3rsatile23;43854466]That happens to me too.. JB isn't officially supported for our phone and Instagram only runs on phones officially running JB only for right now.. When they make video recording available to other Android versions it will start working.. But for now it's not working since we don't have the correct drivers
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T879 using xda app-developers app
That's not correct. JB is the current OS for the GNote. The reason the app freezes is because the app conflicts with the 4.2 camera. It works with all 4.1 JB roms.
