READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY. THIS IS NOT JUST FLASHING ANOTHER ROM
This Rom has been tested by many people but if you do not follow the instructions correctly or then go on to flash an incompatible TWRP you can brick yourself.
DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTHER PRIME RECOVERY WHILE USING THE NEW HAIRYBEAN 2.31 (4.2.1) BOOTLOADER, THEY ARE NOT COMPATIBLE AT THE MOMENT, THE ONE BUILT IN IS MODDED. USE THE DOWNGRADE ZIP TO TAKE YOU BACK TO 4.1.1 BOOTLOADER AND RECOVERY IF YOU NEED IT.
By downloading and installing the below you are in agreement that you understand the risk associated with doing this which in a worse case scenario could result in a bricked Transformer Prime. Therefore we are not responsible or liable for any issues you encounter although we will do our best to TRY to help you resolve them.
Thank you.

Battery above 20 percent.
An Unlocked Transformer Prime with a custom recovery.
A Micro SD to copy install files to as the Internal Storage will be wiped during install.
All valuable files removed from your Transformer Prime.
The files from the Download section below.
NVflash installed if you want to go back to any other ROM not built on official JB. This is more a recommendation rather than a requirement and the ROM will install without NVflash just fine.
....and finally the ability to read. Honestly this is this biggest mistake people make is they do not read things correctly so read, read and READ again just to be sure.
NOTE** You MUST be on the new Hairybean 2.31 (4.2.1) Bootloader to be able to flash this new version which is available in the next section.**
Download "Upgrade Hairybean 2.31 (4.2.1) Bootloader & TWRP (2.5).zip" & "Hairybean 2.31.zip" from the links below and copy to Micro SD.
Boot into recovery and flash "Upgrade Hairybean 2.31 (4.2.1) Bootloader & TWRP (2.5).zip" from Micro SD card.
Click restart after completion and on restart LET THE BLUE LINE FILL ALL THE WAY, WHEN IT IS FINISHED IT WILL RESTART ITSELF BACK INTO TWRP OR INTO OS.
If the Tablet does not boot back into TWRP or OS then hold down Power and VOLUME DOWN for 10 seconds until it restarts and the icons appear. Then select RCK manually.
Go into TWRP and Wipe options and select Advanced Wipe. Select Dalvik Cache, System, Cache and Data and swipe to wipe. (Data2SD users also select SD-Ext)
Go to Install options and flash "Hairybean 2.31.zip" from Micro SD card.
When install is completed restart and allow 30-60 mins for the system to cache itself and then restart again upon which time you should now have a nice smooth TP.
Enjoy!

Everything is new so time for a new thread. The old thread will be left behind for HairyBean 1.51 ( JB 4.1.1 ) and Hairybean 2.2 ( JB 4.2.1 ) and anything related to 2.3+ kept here.
This post will eventually contain Instructions and Videos on how to Unlock your Bootloader and then Install TWRP Recovery, etc.

Ok, I just downloaded everything to my work computer, MD5s matched!.
Now to think of a fake personal emergency so I can go home and install it....

Off to install the enemy

Everytime I go to flash Hairybean 2.3.zip I get a "Unable to open zip file." error. I've followed the instructions exactly and even went step by step with the video. I'm coming from a offical CM 10.2 nightly. Am I missing any steps?

Awesome

Stuck while installing...
Hi everyone,
i am trying to install this new version over my 2.2 version, but i've got some problems:
i first installed the new TRWP : OK
i wiped as said : OK
then i installed the 2.3 zip file : OK
i reboot and then i can see the orange line with the "androwook" logo but the process stops and the tf201 reboots
then i can see the androwook logo with the orange line again for some seconds and i got a message telling me "android is updating", "optimizing apps 3 of 3" and "os is rebooting". The tab reboots (with androwook logo), reboots again, but the process never ends.
MD5 is ok, i tried several times and the result is always the same.
Any ideas?
Thx in advance.

Try wiping everything..
You shouldn't need to do this and none of the team has had this so I would suggest wiping everything before install in TWRP and then trying again.

SElinux support in recovery
and much much more.. check the TWRP changelog here: http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2

[04/14] (3.72) Mostly other device updates
[01/15] (3.71) Code cleanup
[01/15] (3.71) Minor hijack updates
[12/18] (3.70) Mount cleanup during hijack / debugging output
[12/18] (3.70) Splashscreen: Instant stock boot key (needs to be set for Moto OMAP4's still)
[11/13] (3.65) recovery init.rc cleanup
[11/13] (3.65) fix updater build for cm 10.1 and 10.2
[09/20] (3.60) Better handling for virtual images > 2gb
[09/20] (3.60) Much improved block device handling
[09/20] (3.60) Bugfix in script translation

[09/06] (3.53) Fixed mass_storage in recovery (via Mount menu)
[09/06] (3.53) Added Webtop to partition backup list (optional)
[09/06] (3.53) New virtual systems created will be 640mb (got reset 600mb)
[09/06] (3.53) Fixed file selector when changing from internal to external storage (previously location wouldn't update)
[09/05] (3.52) added "Reboot to Recovery" in APK
[09/04] (3.51) Disabled screen blank while creating a rom-slot
[09/04] (3.51) Fixed openrecovery script processing for stock slot to re-inject hijack after .zip install (cmupdater on stock now works)
[08/30] (3.50) If running a new CM10.1/CM10.2 ROM (08/30 or later) you *should* be able to install Safestrap and update the recovery w/o having to go back to stock. If Safestrap shows "recovery not installed" while you're on a ROM-slot, then that ROM hasn't been updated and it won't work. Swap back to stock ROM and update Safestrap from there.
[08/30] (3.50) Worked on stock ROM flashing and *should* work with CM10.1/CM10.2 builds on or after 08/30 *WILL NOT WORK WITH OLDER ROMs.*

[12/29] (3.11) Allow use of custom updater-binary in .zip files for flashing on stock ROM (virtual slots still use prebuilt updater-binary in recovery).
[12/29] (3.11) BUGFIX: Fixed fake flash error at the end of a .zip install. (No real error, .zip installs fine)
[12/29] (3.10) Early support for booting custom ROMs on stock partitions. (Custom ROMs will need to be worked out for XT912 on JB4.1 still)
[12/29] (3.10) Enable flashing to stock ROM
After .zip installations, nandroid restore or system wipe on the stock ROM: the current Safestrap files are restored to the system partition (Doesn't include the APK in /data -- so if you're restoring an old backup, be sure to update the Safestrap APK)
During the Safestrap files restore a check is done to be sure there are minimal files on /system to re-enter Safestrap
[12/29] (3.10) New virtual system partitions will be 640mb (closer match to stock RAZR/D4)
[12/27] (3.07) Bugfix: missed some changes in Safestrap 3.06
[12/26] (3.06) Bugfix/Update for JB4.1 OTA for DroidRAZR (Non-JB devices can also use)
[10/17] (3.05) Fixed SD card / emmc sharing in recovery (UMS)
[10/17] (3.05) Fixed recovery installation/removal from ROM-slots
[10/14] Updated to v3.04 BETA.
[10/14] Recovery is now based off TWRP 2.2.2.1 (fully featured touch-based recovery)
[10/14] Can create up to 4 Virtual ROM-slots to flash ROMs to and when "Active" ALL TWRP functions affect that ROM-slot (For example: Flashing .zips, Backup and Restore)
[10/14] Nearly instant swapping from ROM to ROM
[10/14] User selectable data partition sizes during ROM slot creation: 1GB, 2GB or 3GB
[10/14] ROM slots are saved on the internal emmc space so that preinstall and webtop partitions are no longer used and shouldn't break OTAs.
[10/14] Charging in recovery
[10/14] Supports "Reboot Recovery" from Android OS
Entry to recovery via Splashscreen on boot-up. The screen stays up for around 8-10 seconds and if you hit the menu button, it takes you to Safestrap Recovery.
SPECIAL THANKS TO:

The testers which have helped in past and present versions of Safestrap, knowing that it could mean they brick their devices.
As always, let me know what you think!

Exactly what I did, just before I read your post. Thanks though! Now I know what not to do next time.
...but it won't boot anything in safe-mode. It shows splash and SafeStrap, but then screen goes blank. After 20 min. I reseted it. External memory (microsdhc) is not available as every recoveries with this.
Is there SBF files or ZIPs to full factory reset? I guess that I messed something with root. I installed it without "real" sdcard mounted.
When turning safestrap off it will boot normally, unfortunately in stock..

Switching from Safestrap to Bootstrap/CWM
Guys, I had similar issue screen going blank in safe mode after flashing a ROM.. As such i have come back to CWM/bootstrap Recovery... but, I'm not able to boot into recovery.. it gets stuck on moto logo and a reboot againg bringing the system normally up... Any help to bring it into recovery(CWM/bootstrap)? I have even tried clearing the cache, but of no use.. :-(
EDIT : I have again tried to safestrap, only going into safestrap but not other recoveries... what could be the reason??
UPDATE : My problem has been resolved, what I thought was exactly right. When I was bringing back the RAZR from safe mode to non-safe mode, forgot to format the system partition after flashing the ROM. I did it today going back again into safestrap. Now it is fine, I am able to bootstrap/CWM..

Did you install a rom when in safe mode? You have to install a rom when you enable safestrap to be able to boot up.

It *MAY* be that the XT910 model is not compatible with the current RAZR Safestrap. I'm looking at possible issues.

[Q] PLEASE help me Bootloader Problem

Hi,I have a transformer prime which was running on Energy Rom ICS 4.1.
Yesterday I thought of updating it to Energy JB rom.
The post said it needs updated bootloader as well so I downloaded the bootloader package (TWRP 2.5) but did not know that it formats the tablet completely.
So I flashed it but when it restarted the tab I saw Asus logo & blue progress bar & on top left it said formatting internal storage so I forced shutdown the tab by keeping power key pressed.
But now I am unable to install any ICS rom as it flashes the rom but gets stuck on the boot animation.
I tried installing Energy JB & Androwook JB rom but has lot of force close issues, camera doesnt work.
I tried installing TWRP 2.5 using fastboot but my laptop says usb device not recognised.
Downloaded naked universal usb driver but dont know what to do with them as there is no setup (exe or msi) file in that zip.
I even tried flashing older ics version of bootloader & repeated the whole procedure but doesnt help.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT. I CANNOT POST IN THE ENERGY ROM'S POST AS IT DOESNT ALLOW ME

You messed up by forcing shutdown but I think you know that now..
The only thing I can suggest is if you can still use TWRP then first go to wipe menu and format data, wipe system, wipe dalvik and then wipe cache.
Now try to install your rom.
If this still does not work then try getting the downgrade.zip from the hairybean thread and flashing it in twrp and then restarting and letting it fill all the blue line this time.
At this point you should be able to install a 4.1.1 rom so just try Hairybean 1.51 for now doing all the same wipes as before.
If this works then go and follow the same Energy rom instructions before but without killing the install.
Thanks but I have allready tried that
Hi, I have already tried downgrading bootloader from both Energy Rom thread as well as Androwook thread.
TWRP is still working on my tab & when I flashed downgrade.zip from Hairybean thread,it says successful but does'nt ask for restart, even after rebooting from twrp menu,it again restarts into twrp & i tried androwook ics rom but gets stuck on bootanimation same as Energy Ics based rom.
Any advice????

First of all please stop flashing things. You are mentioning ICS and Jellybean and the new bootloader and different versions of TWRP that are only compatible with certain bootloaders. You will brick it if you are not careful if you haven't already.
Power off and then hold down the power button and volume down the same time. You should get into the bootloader menu with icons.
At the top left of the screen there should be some writing with a long number.
Tell me what that number is please and also tell me what icons are on the screen.

Hi, every time I switch on my tablet now, it goes into TWRP by default, even on pressing power + volume down buttons it does not show me any icons but straightaway boots into TWRP, I tried installing Androwooks JB Rom (which was buggy before but atleast working), but it again reboots into TWRP recovery by default, I did all the wiping before installing as well.
When I power on my tab, all I see is ASUS logo in middle & on top left it says "device is unlocked", then straight into TWRP recovery.
I think I have screwed up big time.
Please help

Introduction
MultiROM is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod for Lg G3. It can boot any Android ROM as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch, once they are ported to that device. Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiROM can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiROM is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. You can see how it looks on the left image below and in gallery. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android ROMs and MultiROM even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.
Features:
* Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
* Restore nandroid backup as secondary ROM
* Boot from USB drive attached via OTG cable
You can also watch a video which shows it in action.
Warning!
It _is_ dangerous. This whole thing is basically one giant hack - none of these systems are made with multibooting in mind. It is no longer messing with data partition or boot sector, but it is possible that something goes wrong and you will have to flash factory images again. Make backups. Always.
Installation
Manual installation
Firstly, there are videos on youtube. If you want, just search for "MultiROM installation" on youtube and watch those, big thanks to all who made them. There is also an awesome article on Linux Journal.
Note 1: Your device must not be encrypted (hint: if you don't know what it is, then it is not encrypted).
MultiROM has 3 parts you need to install:
MultiROM (multirom-YYYYMMDD-vXX-d851.zip) - download the ZIP file from second post and flash it in recovery.
Modified recovery (TWRP_multirom_d851_YYYYMMDD.img) - download the IMG file from second post and use fastboot or Flashify app to flash it.
Patched kernel - You can use either one of the stock ones in second post or third-party kernels which include the patch, you can see list in the second post. Download the ZIP file and flash it in recovery.
You current rom will not be erased by the installation.
Download links are in the second post.
Adding ROMs
1. Android
Go to recovery, select Advanced -> MultiROM -> Add ROM. Select the ROM's zip file and confirm. As for the space, clean installation of stock 4.2 after first boot (with dalvik cache generated and connected to google account) takes 676mb of space.
Using USB drive
During installation, recovery lets you select install location. Plug in the USB drive, wait a while and press "refresh" so that it shows partitions on the USB drive. You just select the location (extX, NTFS and FAT32 partitions are supported) and proceed with the installation.
If you wanna use other than default FAT32 partition, just format it in PC. If you don't know how/don't know where to find out how, you probably should not try installing MultiROM.
If you are installing to NTFS or FAT32 partition, recovery asks you to set image size for all the partitions - this cannot be easilly changed afterward, so choose carefully. FAT32 is limited to maximum of 4095MB per image - it is limitation of the filesystem, I can do nothing about that.
Installation to USB drives takes a bit longer, because the flash drive is (usually) slower and it needs to create the images, so installation of Ubuntu to 4Gb image on my pretty fast USB drive takes about 20 minutes.
Enumerating USB drive can take a while in MultiROM menu, so when you press the "USB" button in MultiROM, wait a while (max. 30-45s) until it searches the USB drive. It does it by itself, no need to press something, just wait.
Updating/changing ROMs
1. Primary ROM (Internal)
Flash ROM's ZIP file as usual, do factory reset if needed (it won't erase secondary ROMs)
Go to Advanced -> MultiROM in recovery and do Inject curr. boot sector.
2. Secondary Android ROMs
If you want to change the ROM, delete it and add new one. To update ROM, follow these steps:
Go to Advanced -> MultiROM -> List ROMs and select the ROM you want to update.
Select "Flash ZIP" and flash ROM's ZIP file.

@Tectas cause i used his ( awesome) source code for building the kernel
And sure... tnx to @HPTesla and the other guy ( sorry i deleted for error the messages) for testing this!
...and all the people that now i forget
reservedPLEASE READ THE MULTIROM WIKI TO UNDERSTAND BETTER WHAT YOU ARE DOING
IMPORTANT: Need to be with a Kitkat stock Rom ( if you use my kernel ) or with a rom that have a kernel with the kexec hardboot patch.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1- reboot in recovery and flash the new TWRP with Multirom support; --> HERE
2- reboot the recovery;
3- flash the kernel with the kexec hardboot patch HERE
4- flash the multirom zip; ---> HERE
5- install every Rom you want ( advanced--> multirom --> add rom )
6- reboot and choose the rom you want to boot.
You can also use a Cyanogenmod or similar with the wonderful Rin Kernel by @Tectas --> DOWNLOAD FOLDER
If you want show me your love for this you can consider a small DONATION
Issues:
1- On boot the touch need some seconds to work in multirom menu, you can use the volume keys to move and the power button to select.
You are awesome man. Flashed and installed with no issues. Currently running BarRin and a backup of Dirty Unicorns. I was kinda stressing on setting this up but it was way easier then I imagined it would be.
You will have a donation coming your way as soon as I get paid.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
It's so exciting to see how far the G3 is coming along and I love it! Thank you! I will definitely be testing this in the future (just not right now) :good::good::good::good:
I remember this. Also safestrap. These are sweet. Thanks.

this sounds incredible....so is it possible to run barrin and a lolipop rom?
If I flash the modified twrp in the op so I can use this ROM, would I need to re flash a different twrp if I didn't want to use multirom anymore? Or is the twrp in the op good for any rom?

I've been testing this since a few days ago. Once properly installed and set up, when my phone boots I have the choice of stock and 6 other roms to choose from. It's the best, really. Since BarRin is modified stock, you can use it as your primary as long as you use the included kernel from this post. Also, rin kernel which is included with BarRin will be getting a kexec-hardboot patch shortly. I'm sure engine will start using it once I build it.

I was able to restore my nandroid made with the original bump twrp just fine. If you do it the classic way thru twrp you will lose multirom boot bc it restored my old kernel but yes. You can restore old backups in this twrp just fine from my tests.
I cant for the life of me get my BarRin backups to restore, either as primary or secondary roms, I took two for safe measure, one to my internal and one to a USB OTG, both say when being Restored: "Unable to find file system (first period)." when it first moves to restore then finally fails completely with the same error followed by "Unknown restore method for '/rpm'
Now I have two questions:
I created this backup using the original non-multirom twrp and am trying to restore it with the multirom twrp, could this be the issue?
Is it as simple as with the N7 multirom to just flash the original twrp, restore, and restart the process?
I can confirm I can flash both CM12 and BarRin fresh to the Primary partition and both boot without error.
EDIT: Color me even more confused.. Flashed back to 2.8.40 twrp, got the same errors when restoring but phone booted just fine, Truly stumped

Yeah i have no idea. I made a nandroid of zv4 stock, installed everything then made another nandroid after. I never wiped anything, until I went to test nandroids. But ultimately I just kept stock as primary and multiple aosp as secondaries. I restored both nandroids thru twrp fine, but didn't try to add backups via multirom advanced option in twrp.....
Like I said I have no clue, Works currently though and thats what matters BarRin Primary and CM12 Secondary, Now to try the other lovelies!, Thanks for this!
I'm using barin now and I have a backup of it. I don't have the full barin zip downloaded. Can I restore my barin backup as my primary rom as long as I use the kernel in the op? I don't want to download barin unless I have to. Slow speeds where I'm at today.

I believe so. Restore your backup and reflash the kernel. If that doesn't bring back up the multirom boot, go back into twrp and reflash the third zip, the multirom scripts. But hopefully you only need the kernel.

Man I appreciate the help. Hopefully this last question will clarify all of it for me.
As I said, I'm on barin now. If I flash all 3 items in the op in order, will my current rom then be known as my "primary rom"? Then I can flash secondary roms, right?

Yeah, that's what I did. I restored my stock zv4 nandroid(since BarRin is stock based you're good) then flashed the kernel, twrp and multirom. I rebooted after each(kernel I rebooted system to make sure kernel was OK, twrp, I rebooted back into recovery to make sure twrp was updated then flashed multirom and rebooted system again). Then under advanced->multirom in twrp I added roms from flashable zips and under list roms I flashed gapps for each.
As for the help, anytime, it's what this community should be all about. Just pay it forward man.
I keep getting kernel crash and unable to load my 2nd rom...my default rom...cm12 runs fine...I installed the rin kernel for that...and I.tried using the kernel in post 2 for the 2nd rom which is barin...I tried with and without the kernel...
edit: ok...got 2 cm roms working as multi boot...but still can't get cm 12 and barrin working..kernel crash right after the lg screen when trying to load barrin as secondary rom

Fantastic thanks a lot guys
Using the AOSP kernel provided in 2nd post, I'm not getting any MultiROM features in TWRP. Do I need to flash the stock-based kernel on install and then overwrite with AOSP? Thx!

So after you tap advance, you don't have see a button for multirom? Are you using a theme in twrp?

I have a theme in my current TWRP 2.8.3 and that's what reboots. Same 2.8.3 as before. No MULTIROM options in Advanced. I've been per the OP. I guess my question is, can this be initiated from an AOSP system? All flashes and reboots are successful, but nothing changes... Thanks for the help @Pump Ac7i0n. Your builds make my g3 rock like it oughta.

I had to revert back to my odexed OC2 backup because I kept getting "unfortunately settings/contacts has stopped working". It would happen when I was in the phone app and if I tried to press the soft key to the left of the home button at the bottom of the phone or in settings and pressing the same button.
I tried booting into safe mode and still had the error. I also tried completely wiping the data and cache partitions then installing the rim again. Everything I tried resulted in having the same problem. I searched online and the only thing I could find is that it could be a permissions issue when the rom was being compiled. I also tried going into applications and wiping the individual app caches.
Same problem here.

Thank you carl1961, you are a life saver.
One issue, though: I am on OC1 (rooted) and am unable to reboot to safestrap although it shows as installed and therefore I am unable to flash anything. Do you know why that may be?
Again, I can't thank you enough.

Look at op. Download and install NC2 Flasher. Make sure you also download the OC1 Kernel Installer.zip as well. Open NC2 flasher, press "flash", then press "reboot" and your phone will reboot into safestrap. After doing your thing in safestrap, install the OC1 kernEl and reboot to system. DON'T REBOOT BEFORE INSTALLING THE OC1 KERNEL OR YOU WILL NEED ODIN TO GET BACK TO SAFESTRAP.
How long does your phone have to sit at the ATT logo before it boots up? Mine has been sitting for 10 minutes and nothing has happened.

It took a good 10-15 minutes after I did a factory reset.

You don't have to factory reset. I did it after having problems after the first install.
ah, I see. I still dont understand why my phone refuses to boot, it has been sitting on the ATT logo for 40 minutes now with the notification light slowly glowing.
Hold down the power button and turn off your phone. It should reboot by itself. That might help. If not, go back to safestrap and wipe system, cache, dalvik cache, then install the rom again.

[RECOVERY LOCKED/ND7] Safestrap Recovery v4.00 B01 [2015-11-28]

VERIZON SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 (T0LTE)
PLEASE READ READ READENTIRE OP
"ALL MAJOR WORK DONE BY HASHCODE SO GO GIVE HIM SOM THANKS.DO NOT POST ANY BUG OR ISSUE COUSED BY THIS RECOVERY IN ORIGINAL THREAD BY HASHCODE, POST HERE AND I WILL HELP YOU."
CURRENT PROJECT STATUS:
BETA v4.00-B01 (ND7/KK)
WHAT IS SAFESTRAP?
Safestrap is a Bootstrap / Recovery for locked bootloader phones. The goal is to avoid touching your primary system (I'll call this "stock" system) and only flash or make large changes to another place on your phone that Safestrap treats as a "2nd system" (in this case, it's a series of virtual ROM slots located on the internal emmc area: "/sdcard"). Once installed, you will see a "Splashscreen" giving you the option to hit "menu" to enter recovery. The recovery portion of Safestrap is now based on TWRP 2.6.1.0 (a touch based recovery) and you can perform .zip installs, backups and restores here. The additional features I've added to TWRP are mostly located under the "Boot Options" menu:
Here you can create virtual ROM-slots (3-4 on the S3 due to partition size and internal space) for flashing ROMs. NOTE: The bigger you make the /data partition the less room you will have to make other ROM-slots.
You can activate a new ROM-slot by choosing the slot you wish to make active and then selecting the "Activate" button. Once active, you will see the "rom-slot#" up in the top of the screen shown in green. If you make the "stock" ROM active, then you can see it in the top shown in red.
Once a ROM-slot is active, all actions you would normally perform using TWRP are directed to that ROM-slot. For example, "Install" to flash a .zip, backup and restore.
HOW DO I INSTALL SAFESTRAP?
Requirement: Root
[NEW FOR v4.00+ KK Safestrap] Requirement: Uninstall old Safestrap application.
[NEW FOR v3.75+ KK Safestrap] Requirement: busybox. Grab "Busybox" from the Play Store and run the installer.
Once installed, open up the Safestrap application, Agree to the disclaimer that you won't try to sue me and hunt me down with a rifle if you manage to break your phone..
Then use the "Install Recovery" button. You should see the current version down in the lower left corner of the window. And the "Status:" should say "Installed" when you're done.
From there you can reboot and you *should* see a new splash screen during the boot up. While this is showing you can enter Safestrap Recovery using the [ menu ] button.
INSTALL VIDEO by DMX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RZI...e_gdata_player
HOW DO I ENTER RECOVERY?
During each reboot a splashscreen will be displayed showing whether the device is running a rom-slot or on the "Stock ROM".
Press the button shown on the screen to either enter "RECOVERY" or "CONTINUE" booting (or the hard button underneath each option).
HOW DO I UPGRADE SAFESTRAP?
Push the APK up to your sdcard.
Boot back into the "stock" rom-slot.
Open your old Safestrap app and use the "Uninstall Recovery" button
Browse to where you pushed the APK
Click on it and install like normal
Once installed, open the APK, Grant SU access, Use the "Install Recovery" button.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- Sometimes the installation doesn't work correctly. If you don't see the splashscreen after a rebooting. Install Safestrap again. (DEBUGGING THIS AS I GET TIME)
- Busybox is now required for the Safestrap APK to work correctly

WARNING: Safestrap is heavily modified to be "Safe" for your device. Do not download TWRP from their website and expect it to work the same way. Also TWRP does not support Safestrap, tho some issues that may come up will be TWRP dependant, please try and contact myself or look on the forums for your device for answers before hunting down TWRP people. They won't be able to help w/ Safestrap specific questions.
Special Thanks To

Safestrap Recovery theme (Stock TWRP)
How to...
The theme zips are not flashable. First installation has to be done manually:
- Download the theme and rename it to "ui.zip".
- On SD card (if device has internal and external storage, use the internal) open TWRP folder and create a folder called "theme", without capital letters.
- Copy ui.zip to theme folder.
- Restart to recovery.

it worked but didnt work with rom slots. I uninstalled the previous recovery and then uninstalled safestrap. Then installed this new one. Keeps not installing the safestrap recovery. Any ideas?
Tried doing a system wipe then installed clean 4.00 safestrap. no work..
Tried then system wipe and doing kingroot instead of ghettoroot. same result

What's updated over the previous versions?
Upgrade from 3.72 on Verizon Note 2
I am using 3.72 and wonder if I should upgrade to the latest version. It must be completely removed and not updated as per OP instructions under content?
Thanks

If you are locked bootloader then AOSP ROMs not for you.
The recovery wont flash any kernel and lack of kernel wont boot the ROM.

The only way to unlock the bootloader at this point is to have this done. They will downgrade your Note 2 to 4.1.2 which can be unlocked. Sorry it is what it is.
i follow everything but when i install ss from the app, it doesnt give me an option to reboot recovery , im on 4.4.2
