Ya mate, you have to flash it with odin.. Select the extracted file in csv field and just flash..
ensure that you have left pit field empty and repartion option unchecked..

Yes it is for gs2 GT I9100...
Yes odin is the suitable and easiest way. No idea on other methods.. Odin is very simple method, try it.. It takes five mins or so..

Just checked and found that i already have this file on my laptop. I will flash checkrom revolution 4 ROM via CWM and then CSC via ODIN. WIll keep you updated with the finding after that. Thanks again

Please can anyone tell me if it is possible to go from i9300XXDLI2 to i9300XXDLI5 Ota thanks and if so how do I do it thanks again

only way is flash BLG8 and flash DLI5 ota
else download full DLI5
Yes u can jump from DLI2 TO DLI5 Flash the the ota file through Odin and reboot and ur good to go

I have got the DLI3 on my phone now and would like to go to DLI5 but don't have a computer as I was at my gf when I put the DLI3 on my device can I not do it through the hold home power button and volume up

You cannot flash firmware without a PC .
Hold buttons as described do you mean via CWM recovery ???

He could flash firmware with Mobile Odin Pro on the phone ?
Just download LI5 from sammobile and flash with Mobile Odin Pro from your phone. See item 2 where to get the firmware.

Man you seem desperate.. Why don't you dl the cwm flashable rom and flash it.. For tar files you will need either pc or mobile odin..

I did this just the other day.
If you want a version that is sure to be SDS safe then get mobile odin and the latest stock rom, select the rom file in odin but only flash the recovery partition.

Im on android 4.0.3 and i want to update to 4.1.2 but i cannot connect to odin in my pc. So i decided to use mobile odin. I have download the tar.md5 file. What should i choose in odin ?

You shouldnt be flashing anything until you get pc odin working.Its your phone so its up to you if you want to risk it....

Yes, you should put your phone in the Download Mode to flash stock rom using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (check the "Getting Prepared" section),
