Welcome to my first ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini. I never thought I would ever develop for the device since I do not own it nor does anybody I know does. But recently I got a porting request to port a ROM from these forums and the device caught my attention. I saw that there are not many android flavors available for the device so I thought I should bring in some Xperia style . A word of warning though: I completely rely on testers and my experience in ROM building to bring you these ROMs. The ROM is based on New Maclaw's CM10 builds. Credits go to his work which he owns. You can get his great ROM here.
Let's talk features! :
All the features from the previous Xperia ROMs except Timescape and the Xperia lockscreen.
These features couldn't be transfered due to some compatibility issues, but I will try to integrate them in a future release.

How to install:
Download the ROM & Google Apps (for Play Store etc.)
Flash kernel via fastboot (kernel from rom zip)
Put the zip files on your SDCard
Reboot on Recovery
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Select "Install the Zip from External Storage"
Choose ROM zip file (if errors occur just ignore them and proceed to boot).
Choose GApps zip file
Reboot to system

I'll try it right away: just making backups
I came from a Live With Walkman (with custom ROM) so I kinda miss a lot of stuff. If everything works fine I'll stick with this ROM for daily ^^
I tried to put Walkman and some other apps myself in CM10.1 and I always had problems. Lets see what happens with this ROM

It isn't working at all :'(
At boot I got a lot of force closes, from the "download music info" process a lot of times. Then I just have a black screen (with the taskbar) and system UI keeps stopping responding :/
I was able to connect to my Wifi and Google account. It only went crazy when the home screen was supposed to appear.

actually a lot of bugs.
it boots. that's the only good thing.
download music info has stopped working will pop up quite a lot.
setup wizard stoped working when click Finish
home screen not showing anything. just black screen. can't select anything. status bar works.
another crap ROM rushed to be released without ever testing it.

He can't even test. He got a message from someone about this ROM. He doesn't own the phone. That's why he said he needed us to test it to see what the problems are.

Can you do better? Then be grateful and stop complain to someone who owes you nothing. If you want to help make logcats or something more helpful than write "another crap ROM". Sigh.

Here is my ported Miui V4 Rom
rom is ported from scratch ported from latest miui 2.7.20 multilanguage and based on fxp129!
What is working: everything working in Fxp 129
What is not working: Camera, currently looking for solution
Install instructions:

1. Remove pinlock on your current gingerbread rom
2. Flash kernel using flashtool
3. go into recovery and wipe phone completely
4. flash latest version of my rom from sdcard
5. wait till phone have booted and go to permissions app and enable root permission
6. let phone settle and maybe fix permission using rom manager (download from play store)
7. have fun!

by the way Milad, for next releases, could you replace superuser by SuperSU? i think it's better, and it doesn't ask everytime for permission (even if you remember it sometimes like with "Startup manager"), and spu stuff like cpu spy and nofrills,
i'll report when i flash it about DeepSleep, battery, and themes of course

I will try it as soon as possible, but I would like to know if some poeple are experiencing wlods with it? I am having some with my feravolt NG, and even th_kernel was crashing at some point (without wlod). I just hope that fxp is more stable and that I can have a non crashing phone... :/
Concerning the propositions, the first thing came in my mind is that I prefer to see the percentage for the battery. I think the best is the circle with the perc inside... But this is a personal issue

miui has a feature so you can show percentage instead of icon in settings and rom is very stable trust you'll see for yourself
okay, initial report:
- Themes work perfectly,
- Big apps installed normally
- Received calls without any problems,
- Superuser works flawlessly, also play store and gmail
- ROM smooth (some lags when returning to the launcher, i think it's because of shadows,
that's it for now

I tested a small backup and it was working fine so either you really dont have enough space or it is a weird bug please give me a logcat

it works fine for me, i just made a backup
HOOo. I made new small backup and restore works, it doesn't work with my old backup from MIUI 2.7. but i'm only trying restore my old apps, not old system settings. But give error with old backup. new backup/Restore works very well. Excuse my error in old post. It works Very well!! thanks a Lot!

one of the best roms i've ever tested !
i flashed this great ROM.
i always change my ROM every 3-4 days, but since ive flashed this rom(for more than 2 weeks, v1+v2), i havent flashed any other rom, this ROM is really great, its very beautifull & fast. specially biftor theme is very beautiful and it has very cool animations even cooler than jelly bean's animation.
Screenshots are unavailable, so there is something to fix already

I flashed this rom, and i love the theme, but i want to know something, its normal if i get FC on first boot? because i get it, and, when the phone starts, stills reading SD card forever, that on first boot, because when i reboot it boots normal, and i dont get keyboard, when i try to put my name i got voice keyboard. Is that normal?

ive flashed the Rom more than 100 times, but i didnt have any problem like what you said.
i think it happen because ive parted the rom to 3 parts, i test it now, if what i say be correct ill try to upload the rom again in just one part.
try this: extract the rom and zip it again and install it again with full wipe.

if you use super wipe cleaning script, you wont get any fc, but if you just do a full wipe, you will get fc just on first boot, but you won't get it again. i still don't know why it happens, but ill try to fix it on next version.

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a useful addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

i managed to remove them in settings, you have to select them and then unselect them (i know it's a bit iffy)
i don't know if i'll port miui, the yp-g70 build is quite buggy, i was thinking of AOCP...

First of all, how about "Thanks for your work"?
the first line says "using Hanthesolo's linaro rom as a base"
any GB kernel means any GB kernel - terrasilent, klin's, etc.
bugs are the same as linaro ics - my bad, should have made it clearer
I've ported AOCP...anyone interested? it's slightly better than AOKP

i managed to remove them in settings, you have to select them and then unselect them (i know it's a bit iffy)
i don't know if i'll port miui, the yp-g70 build is quite buggy, i was thinking of AOCP...

I want to commend you (again) on your awesome work. Now, instead of maintaining 4-6 roms at once with different device trees each, I can simply focus on and improve one, providing performance and stability for you guys far faster than I would otherwise, and enabling me to push updates a lot faster.

yeah, since there are no porting-derived bugs, updating the base every so often is definitely easier than building a different rom each time
now if only i could get codename-android to boot we'd have a good variety of roms!
Great Job theraf. Awesome work. So do you and anyone else know what's the difference between Codename:Nebula, Linaro, and this rom? I probably going to start changing roms again at the end of the year, but now I don't know which one to chose lol.

Linaro: cm9 compiled with linaro toolchain
Paranoidandroid: cm9 with some framework modifications that give it hybrid mode (i'll add a better description to the op)
Loving the rom. I cannot wait for updates to this. You guys are all very talented and we appreciate your efforts! I managed to get the layout to look nice and used Root App Delete to disable a few system apps that were broken/don't work with player, and it gave it quite a little boost.

A. I don't know? What did you do? Make sure the MD5 codes match on your download and the one provided here. Also make sure that you didn't flash MODS from a Previous Build on to this one.

A. Either it got broken in CM10 or we did something wrong.. Send us a logcat!
Q. Why is MIUI and or the CM base out of date?
A. Because we go off of Stability, not dates.

A. It's MIUI. MIUI does not have an app drawer on the stock launcher, however you can download a new launcher off of the market or use the included toolkit to add a optional "app drawer" in the corner.

A. It doesn't work on MIUI by default. The 'designer' wasn't satisfied with the way it operated and or looked so it was removed.

Roms up m8 let me know what works and what doesnt havent tested it yet but i guarantee it should boot (hopefully lol)

Uploading a new one. SHOULD have launcher issues resolved its a shelld error and data working. If launcher isnt working still could you get me a log also can you get me a log for camera FC. No MIUI apps will work till shelld error is resolved btw

Installing Instructions
First time installing to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Boot into Recovery
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Wipe cache and dalvik cache
- Flash Liquid zip from internal SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from internal SDCard
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of Liquid Version
- Copy Liquid ZIP to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash Liquid zip from internal SDCard
- Reboot

Flashed 4.3 today
Flash did not go well - random reboots and WiFi would not stay connected. Battery drained very fast. I did not see a pattern and as a dumb noobi did not get a logcat of the events. System was behaving like earlier versions of CM 10.2. However, great graphics for boot animation. Most current version of 10.2 (9/5/13) is pretty stable and bug free. I went back to CM 10.2 and will try this a little later.
well i tried your other 4.3 rom and it was great, but it didnt have aosp toggles which i was used to, and dont plan on changing soon, and voila this rom has it

does this rom also have halo and the lockscreen gesture i previously mentioned on other thread? if yes, then its perfect
EDIT: are you freaking kidding me, it has both already although old version of halo :victory: and its super smooth plus love the animations... might stay on this as a daily driver if proven stable, hope you keep building, i used to use liquidsmooth till support was dropped
EDIT 2: a few bugs from a short while of testing, bootanimation isnt resized correctly (no worries) and can't install an app with halo turned on (this old problem wasfixed on other roms)
EDIT 3: When i turn on settings buttons always show on status bar (so there is settings button and quick settings plus halo , it doesn't fit the screen like it does on other roms

tried many others but battery backup was horrible...
But with this ROM It lasts me for 2 days with normal usage..
Had some trouble with cell broadcast... deleted that apk.. now fine :angel:
The Boot animation is slightly out of the screen... Which is OK for me :good: :good: :good:

what was the problem with cell broadcast? i saw someone say it on another rom.
and boot animation doesnt really matter, not seeing it means good as its stable and no random reboots

Its a CM bug I guess.... usually had this issue in CM Roms..
What happens is a Message Keeps on popping on the screen with gibberish unreadable text.
It is irritating as hell ... even changing the settings doesnt help..
best way to avoid this is to delete the CellBroadcastReceiver app using titanium backup or root explorer..
