[Q] CPU Editor for Snapdragon S4 - HTC Droid DNA

Hello community,
I have installed on my Droid DNA CM10.2, without problems.
UNLOCK
S-OFF
Root
But unfortunately, I have seen that works only one of the four cores!
After a long search I found a CPU Editor for DualCores and Beta QuadCore. But unfortunately this does not at all - the version for DualCore works fine.
Has anyone similar experiences or can someone give me a tipp?
It is this mod: "CPU Editor QC Beta 1" from Smokin1337

It shouldn't need all four cores on unless you're running something that's cpu intensive. Normally it's set to use one core and as workload ramps up the other cores come online.

I run AnTuTu Benchmark and switch to CPU-Z = one core at 1512 MHz overall 25% Load!
CPU Benchmark the same result, one core and the rest ist "stopped".
Any idea?

What's were your scores?
It seems to be a stock kernel problem, try running crpalmers kernel.

AnTuTu score (without CPU Editor) 11247 and with DualCore Fix 13978
Edit: Problem solved! Kernel update crpalmer 3.5.1 = AnTuTu score ~20.000
Thx @orangechoochoo!

[Q] qudrant for touchpad!!!

just my observation: Quadrant run for touchpad only gives score of around 2400... my nook color with 1.3ghz single core gives score of over 2600 all the time!!! i looked into the device info, it seems like it only using 1 core!!! does cm7 only recognizing one core??? what r ur guys thought??? is there a fix for it or any kernels that utilize both cores of touchpad!!!
The Quadrant results on the TP are skewed because the GPU code has not yet been implemented (or optimized) which primarily affects the FPS section (looks like is is only doing about 4 frames per second) where all the other graphics demos (especially the planet one) do 20-60 frames per second which is a 300%-600% improvement over the Nook Color running 1.2GHz.
I would be interested in other benchmarks that are not dependent on the GPU code.
try using Antutu - free from market
it separates the scores according to each test
(also shows total)
i got around 5000 - OC 1.7 ghz
Maybe it is because we are running an un-optimized alpha build...Don't worry about synthetic benchmarks anyway.
Both cores are already being used, what is your processor clocked too?
I'm completely aware benchmarks don't really mean much, but for curiosities sake, out of 3 runs, I averaged 3228 in quadrant. I am overclocked to 1782mhz ondemand.
I suggest you run SunSpider also.

Problem with perseus kernel

Hi! I have problem with perseus Kernel If I overclock cpu a little bit, All the same the problem (If I start play game some time it will restart), it does not matter how much overclocked. I tested 1.7Ghz clock and test it For 1375mv, 1400mv, 1425mv, and it's not effective and between a perseus rom freezes lock screen and I have to restart it :S, siyah kernel will not let me even overclock more than 1.5GHz can someone help me with this problem , I love overclocking :silly:
SiyahKernel S3 v1.5 CPU over/underclock: 100-1800MHz 18-steps , GPU over/underclock: 54-800MHz ,Perfect to play , i have been using for a long time and i had never any problems ........

Okay But, why I'm not able to overclock 1.8GhZ its show me 200-1.5GhZ I tried overclock stweaks, cpu master, set cpu, and Foxhound extras but not help I try flash siyah again If that help.. Block story max settings eat really MUCH performance
I'm not even able hit over the 1.5GhZ and it show me 25-1.5GhZ (((
Anyone?
Anyone know what I do wrong if I'm not able hit 1.8GhZ?
yes,, your cpu isn't up to it, simple. With overclocking make small steps, note what you are doing, experiment with voltages, but all chips are different so experimentation is the only way, along with lots of reading and learning, skill aided by searching

okay But why this perseus give me overclock more than 1.5GhZ But Perseus is so buggy :S and I can normally overclock Gpu with siyah kernel but If I run test I am not note difference, 1 better fps for 700MhZ GPU Clock My Phone is so strange

you have to understand the fact that the kernel is in alpha stage, so if you dont know what you are doing you shouldnt have flashed it. and also all chips are not capable of handling higher frequency, 1.6 ghz should be asafe bet for all processors..
700mhz in siyah makes a big impact depending on the benchmark you run.. check the thrread in my sig for more info.
Thanks all for posts! I figured it out, I give more juice for all these steps for perseus alpha And not anymore reboots. 1.8 GhZ 1450mv 1.7GhZ 1400mv, 1.6GhZ 1350mV, 1.5GhZ 1300mV, I run now 1.7GhZ for dual core mode, I'll try soon run my phone quad core mode . But I can't overclock my gpu with perseus and siyah rom doesn't give me overclock more than 1.5ghZ DD so strange Ps: 1.7 GhZ Dual core My Cpu score is 8123 and memory 5538 on quandrant benchmark.
Edit: If my phone a little bit overheat it reboot same thing is 1.6GhZ, 1.7GhZ, 1.8GhZ. 1.6GhZ I run stability test about 1-2min and it reboot, Battery About 41 degrees Celsius :S
Why in the name of all that is holy would you overclock your CPU, and then run it in dual core mode??
You would be better off leaving it at 1.4ghz in quad core mode.
That seems pointless.

I will do later in the evening siyah kernel video for overclocking problem

[HELP] Overclocking msm8960 device

I'm trying to develop an OC'd kernel for Pantech vega racer 2 phone. It has the same hardware as HTC Evita.
I was able to overckock it using zarboz' and rohan's work. But the frequence is drops down to stock 1.5 Ghz while the processor is on max load.
For example, I started SetCPU stress test and after few minutes checked max freq. It was dropped down to stock 1.5 Ghz.
The same with Antutu bench. Even with OCing up to 2 Ghz in final resulst it show 1512 Mhz and freqs are dropped down.
Due to the lack of development for this phone, I can't find any examples of OC code especially for this phone, so,Devs, I need your help.

Thermal throttling is your issue.
It reduces the CPU frequency a lower one to protect your battery from heat...
Try editing or deleting thermald.conf from /bin.

[Q] Ezio i95

Hi all.
This is my first post here so forgive me if I've put it in the wrong forum.
I recently (6 days ago) bought a new phone, Ezio i95.
It looks like Samsung Galaxy S3/S4.
The specs are:
Quad core 1,8 GHz
2 GB RAM
Dual Sim
5" Super AMOLED screen (1920x1080), 440 ppi
But... In Antutu benchmark system info it correctly says that it is 1,8 GHz CPU (1741 MHz, to be precise). But, when I do the test, it sees only 1,2 GHz. When I try any app that does cpu scaling or any other cpu work, it also sees 1,2 GHz.
I searched for it on the net, but I didn't find anything conclusive. Actually, it seems that the CPU clock is really 1,2 GHz, but I don't know why and how do they sell it as 1,8. And how the hell Antutu sees it as 1,8?!?!?!
Here are screenshots:
h ttp://imageshack. us/f/9/kocl.png/
h ttp://imageshack. us/f/5/o0ph.png/
And here is from mediatek wiki:
MT6589[a] Cortex A7 (ARMv7) 28 nm 1.2*GHz quad-core PowerVR SGX544 @ 286*MHz
Any Ideas?!
Thanks in advance.
System won't let me to post a link, because I'm new, so I tried this workaround. Hope you don't mind. I've put two spaces.

I am not familiar with the device or the ROM you are using (stock?). But if you install cpuspy it will tell you all the freqs that are allowed and how much time your cpu spends at each freq. My guess is that the freq table goes up to 1.8GHz but that somewhere the maxfreq is set to 1.2 GHz. You might be able to up the maxfreq using an app like setcpu. The cpu you have is rated to 1.2 GHz so any overclocking you do comes with the risk that you will damage your phone. Basically if the cpu is getting hot....better back off the overclocking.

Every app I tried, including SetCPU and CpuSpy, shows 1,2 GHz as max frequency. As you can see on screenshots, Antutu benchmark shows in system info 1,8 GHz (1741 MHz actually), but in test it uses 1,2 GHz. TBH, the only place I saw 1,8 GHz was in Antutu, not anywhere else.
I contacted the seller, and he is trying to convince me that the phone has CPU Booster and that frequency is really 1,8 GHz. I now sent him screenshots in order to convince him that he is wrong...
I researched that cpu, mt5689 and its max freq is 1,2. mt5689T is 1,5 GHz, but this one is without T.
Kernel version is 3.4.5, from 19th June this year
Baseband version: MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V6.P4, 2013/05/04
Android version is 4.2.3
I found some info about ROM: 06_v89_hydy_dangdang_gemi
h ttp://img9.imageshack.us/img9/3662/kocl.png
h ttp://img5.imageshack.us/img5/4357/o0ph.png
If that anything means to you...
I am not trying to overclock my phone, I just want to be able to use what I've payed for. I could have bought 1,2 GHz, but I payed for this one and I want to use it, that's the poing...
Unfortunately, only after I bought it, I found all this. I didn't inform myself enough, before purchasing...
Thanks anyway
The seller is still trying to convince me that the max cpu freq is 1,8 GHz, with cpu booster, but I still cannot see or use it in any app, except that Antutu benchmark sees the 1,8 GHz as max, but still uses 1,2 GHz.
Chipset and cpu is rated to 1,2 GHz, as I saw on mt6589 reviews, so I think that I am fooled...
Good morning, my name is Jorge Martinez, I am another ezio buyer i95, I arrived with several flaws, the most serious the gps it is impossible to make it work, even after following many online tutorials.
The on / off button sometimes gets caught and resets.
The headphone connection is not good and sounds bad.
Reviewed this to the salesman told me they would give me support, etc, etc, told me I was going to wait to send another new model, gave me all kinds of options, but ultimately it only to gain time.
Once you pass the time of the vote, and has forgotten all its commitments and ripped me off.
I recommend everyone to not deal with the seller, who has only good words but deceives.
I hope my mistake serve for one to be saved from falling into this trap, but also effectively tells you it's quad core 1.8, it's actually 1.2.
Greetings all, I hope this information will be useful.
Demonstrating GPS reception via Device-Z-Test app. My S3 on the left and Ezio I95 on the right.
The latter, bought through eBay, was successfully returned to the Hong Kong exporter.

Ezio i95 Stock rom
Any one had ezio i95 stok rom?
ezio 95
hi,
I have read that some of the specs get rewritten within the operating system to fool antutu.
However I am also after a copy of the stock rom. I have a enzio s89 that I have bricked before I made a rom copy. This ezio i95 uses the same processor and is about the same size Maybe it will work in mine.
Are you able to download MTK droid tools and make a copy of your stock rom please. That is always worth doing in any case.

INEW V3 Plus Octa core why is it running at 1.4ghz when the cpu is 1.7ghz

Hi,
I have a INEW V3 Plus Octa core and for some reason Antutu only gives it a rating of approx. 20,000
from what I have read the cpu is a 1.7ghz cpu , however in this phone it is ran at 1.4ghz
can anyone clarify this for me ?
and if it is the case is it possible to clock the phone to 1.7ghz ?
hoping someone can help
thanks
Stef
No you cannot clock the cpu higher. This cpu has similar name but not exact as the 1.7 model
