There's no official Ics for Ace. There is not even an unofficial one!
Enviado do meu cooperve com a CyanmobileX rom

But is cyanogenmod 7.2 supported my phone?

There will not be any official update to ICS/JB. Its still v.2.3.6. But we have unofficial CM 7.2 & 9.1 Its still in the development stage. There are several ROMs available in the development thread, in ICS/JB themed actually based on Stock 2.3.6 and CM7.2 (2.3.7)

It means you can update it to newer firmwares not newer Android-versions.
I don't give a f*ck from where I sent this from.

Device list in ROM Manager

Hey,
After a few days of thinking if I should root my samsung galaxy ace s5830i I finally did. I've got used to the new applications and things I can access but I wanted to upgrade to the unofficial ice cream sandwich or jelly bean for the device. I followed the tutorials with the clockworkmod rom manager but I only got as far as downloading the ROM manager, because when I opened the application and clicked 'Recovery Setup' then 'Clockworkmod Recovery' it loads then shows 'Device not Listed Above, Click here if your device is not shown in the list above' and above that is no devices at all. I was hoping that someone from XDA could help me out on this one,
Thanks,
Lukeachu.

It's always worth updating, yes. Newer releases have newer fixes.

Will the fw be fine to flash as when I started the download it said it was for turkey. Lol
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Yes you can flash for any country so long as the model is correct. MD3 isn't even the latest anymore. ME2 is (which you can download for Netherlands or Norway).
You'll lose root when you flash Via Odin.
Any particular reason you won't go for something like Wanam Lite ROM, flash through recovery?
Still a sort of noobie...not really had the guts to flash any rom yet
Rooted but on stock XXEMC2

As a rule of thumb,
"Galaxy SIII Android Development" contains:
Samsung TouchWiz based custom ROMs
Unofficial CM, AOKP builds
"Galaxy SIII original Android Development" contains:
Samsung Kernels
Official CM, AOKP (AOSP) builds
AOSP Kernels
