It is no longer necessary to edit the Build.prop file. I have provided Fix Zips Below to undo the changes that my earlier zips made to the build.prop and SystemUI. If you flashed one of the Official International Version MGA Build zips Before 9-19-2013. Please Use the Fix Zips below before downloading and flashing the new Official International Version MGA Build Dark Contact And Dialer Zips!
These zips below under <Click To Show Content Button> are to undo the changes that my earlier zips made to your build.prop and SystumUI. They are not needed if you havent downloaded and installed one of the Official International Version MGA Build zips Before 9-19-2013 just skip this part and download the one of the Official International Version MGA Build zips.
Here is a Zip to undo the changes to the build.prop and fix the zips if you intalled before 9-19-2013: Fix_Zip_SystemUI_Contacts (This Zip Must Be Flashed It Cannot Be Down Manually)
Here is the fix If you didnt have custom Recovery and changed the SystemUI manually : Return_Stock_SystemUI.zip (just extract the zip and copy the SystemUI.apk to the /system/app forlder and overwrite the file)
If you Manually Edited Build.prop: Change ro.product.name=jfltespr to ro.product.name=jfltevzw or Delete the build.prop file and rename the build.prop.bak file to build.prop and reboot.

Instructions On How To Install
Instructions For Phones With No Custom Recovery
Just a note for you people without a custom recovery. Coping and replacing files can cause the system to freeze. I always copy the apk's to the system folder instead of the system/app folder once copied to the system folder you can set the permissions there then move the apk to the system/app folder then that way if it freezes up and does a force reboot the permissions are already set correctly. Coping the files that go in the system/etc/snd_soc_msm will not cause the system to freeze so your fine just placing them directly in that folder. Remember these are what is needed for call recording to work. It is not necessary to back these files up unless you want to.
Here Is The Procedure for installing manually: Extract my zip and copy the files to the appropriate folders SecPhone.apk and SecContacts.apk to /system/app. Delete SecPhone.odex and SecContacts.odex or rename SecPhone.odex to SecPhone.odex.bak same with SecContacts SecContacts.odex rename to SecContacts.odex.bak. Then copy snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 and snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm to /system/etc/snd_soc_msm

Glad someone picked this up.

Yep it worked getting pretty good at flashing stuff without having a custom recovery....
Update: lost 4g data can anyone elaborate on that... kept telling me to insert sim.....

Thanks for putting this together. I've been dying to get rid of the stock blinding white since I got my S4. For anyone that is odex just remove SecContacts, SecContacts.odex & SecPhone and place them in a storage folder on your SD card just in case. Then just flash whatever style dialer you want. Works flawlessly!

On stock ME7 rooted, these do not work. I copied them over using root explorer and when I reboot I am able to see all my contacts, favorites, dialpad, etc. However during phone boot I get "com.android.phone has stopped" etc. and whenever I try to go into the phone app it force closes. I also have no service trying to use these apps. FYI.

If you guys want to try this it works fine for me. This is the actual International Dialer And Contacts. Download this zip INTERNATIONAL_DIALER_CONTACTS_MGA.zip. Now edit your build.prop file and change ro.product.name=jfltevzw change to ro.product.name=jfltexx. This will allow for the Contacts to work properly if you dont do this step it will not work!!
This will change your 4G LTE icon so here is a link if you want it to look different http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355529. You just cant name it back to the Verizon one or the International Dialers wont work. Let me know if this works on the Stock ME7 builds
Edited: I added this to the OP. For those of you that can flash this there is no need to manually edit the build.prop file the zip will do it for you and back up the original one. I have fixed the 4G LTE Icon so it displays the verizon one in the status bar. For those of you manually adding the files you will have to edit the build.prop file manually and will be stuck with the International 4G icon.

You are running 3.2? I'll check and see if its because of that or not after work. Otherwise you may try extracting the dialer from from the .zip and push it through root explorer to system/app folder and reboot.
yes i have 3.2 but dialer is still old one from wich folder and which apk i should to extract
i have replased but still old one
under dialer you mean phone.apk write? or dialertabactivity.apk?

Those images are in the DialerTabActivity.apk and you would need to extract the ProjectV_AssassinEdition.zip and push the DialerTabActivity.apk from system/app/ folder in that .zip to the system/app folder of your phone and reboot. Not sure why it didn't go unless 3.2 has a different naming system for the files. I still gotta look into that. That's why I posted it for Project-V, could be port issue requiring a full port.

You may try to do a wipe cache, dalvik and fix permissions from red recovery... The only issue I have had so far has also been an issue for all unthemed roms for me and that's no email notification sounds. But fix permissions might do it without a full wipe. let me know.

I just realized that the image you posted is the in-call dialer....You know, When you are asked to press 7 to delete voicemail or 1 for english lol
Those images are in the phone.apk, but the main dialer for dialing your calls is in the dialertabactivity.apk To get that as the main dialer would require a multi-apk rework... If I have time I might make you a zip you can use in ninja morph.

i whant dialer like this but with your theme
vazovskiiii ;
The update I attached for you should have changed the number buttons background and background of the dialer itself to that of the in-call dialer you first posted a pic of.
After your last post, I realize that I have no clue what exactly it is that you want.
I'm not sure if it is the other language in the header or the layout of the buttons on the bottom row...either way...if its either of those, I may not be able to help you change that. I just took an existing dialer and themed the images not the coding.
yes yes you are wright i whant your themed dialer with second layout my english is very bad i now
i just whant the layout of second picture but with your theme
i whant change the places of buttons like in second picture in my dialer the below row is speaker call and contacts and i just whant to change like in in second picture down, call video call, message and beckward
Is there any way you can post the wallpaper you used for this theme?

[MOD][COG-4][UnNamed] Over-scroll Glow!

Discontinued. The latest versions of all previously supported ROMs have this functionality built in.
This gives you an over-scroll glow when you reach the end of a list.
I really hope you knew that before clicking on this thread.
Example if you don't know what I'm talking about
It's just a modified framework.jar with modified files allowing the over-scroll to work and the correct glow images assigned to it. Theming is very easy, just colorize the over-scroll glow pngs in framework-res.apk. The default is orange.
What I want to do with this thread is sort of have a place where you can find the over-scroll enabling mod for every popular ROM for our phones. If you think I should support a ROM that I currently don't, then please post in the forums because I read every post! Ask to put a ROM on the wishlist. Upload the ROM's framework-res.apk and framework.jar files and I'll work on it when I'm not busy with school.
Currently, the wish list is:
Stock KH7
[Update on 10/15/11] UnNamed v1.0.1 compatible files uploaded. Give them a try. Honorable mention to quarlow
Installation:
BACK UP YOUR OLD FRAMEWORK.JAR
Because I'll just laugh at you if you complain that your phone won't boot up.
>>>ADB:
Code:
Extract the CWM package to get the framework.jar
adb remount
adb shell
su
cd /system/framework/
cp framework.jar framework.jar.backup
exit
exit
adb push framework.jar /system/framework/
adb reboot
>>>ROOT EXPLORER:
Extract the CWM package to get the framework.jar
Okay, now you can theoretically do this, but why would you want to? You'll get lots of crashes and might mess something important up.
Go to: /system/framework/ and rename framework.jar to something else. Go back to where-ever you saved my modified framework.jar and copy it over to /system/framework/ and change the permissions of the new framework.jar to match the old one. I'm pretty sure it's rw-r--r--, but don't quote me on that. + Restart your phone.
Simba501 has a more indepth tutorial on how to install this mod through Root Explorer here
>>>RECOVERY (preferred):
Flash the one specific to the ROM you're running
Whatever method you choose, know that it will take a stupidly long time for your phone to boot-up. Don't worry though, it'll be worth the wait.
Yoderk created some cool themes for the over-scroll glow for Cognition Beta-4 which you can find HERE.
UnNamed 1.0.1 works with 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 as well.
Also, please remember to say THANKS if I helped you!

That's awesome! Someone test it on stock w/ root, because if it works there, I'll be amazed.
Confirming that the cwm flashable zip works on cog beta 3!
Working fine here. I'm technically on Beta 1, but I've manually added the components I wanted from each Beta update because there were things I didn't want.
I have a suggestion. I don't know why everyone repeats that method for using root explorer. That's a terrible way to do it. I always use root explorer to manually replace my files and have never experienced any issues. Here is the correct way to use root explorer for manually replacing modded files:
1. Navigate to the file that you plan to replace (in this case, system/framework/framework.jar).
2. Copy (not move) the file and paste it somewhere on your SD card (internal or external, doesn't matter - as long as you can locate it in case you need to put it back). Rename the file you just pasted, but very subtly. For example, when renaming framework.jar, I would only throw something in front of the file name, such as "Backup - framework.jar", so I can easily distinguish it from the new file if I put them in the same spot.
3. NANDROID BACKUP!
4. Download/put on your sd card (whatever you do) the new file that you want to replace the old one with.
5. Move the new file to /system (not in a subfolder yet). Here you will change the permissions, which is crucial to avoid FCs and problems. In root explorer, you would long press the file, press permissions, and set them to whatever the old file's permissions are. This may require going to verify what they are before starting this step. In this case, the permissions are RW-R-R, which in root explorer, means that the first two boxes on the first line are checked and only the first box on the next two lines are checked.
6. Ensure that your new file is correctly named to exactly what it is replacing (case actually matters) and that the permissions also match what it is replacing.
7. Move your new file to the folder, root explorer will ask if you want to replace the file. Confirm.
8. Back out of root explorer and immediately reboot.
No force closes, no problems .
Cwm file worked great on cog beta 4. Thnkz!!

Well if your like me and hate orange! Then here are two framework-res.apk with a blue and green overscroll color. Just rename them to framework-res.apk and overwrite the original file in system/framework.
Do not forget to back up original file! I claim no responsibility to problems.

Yes. Those need the tw-framework to be modified and I haven't taken a look at those yet since I'm trying out Perception for a couple of days and that already has it coded in? But it isn't a problem per-say, it's just how Samsung decided to code those specific apps and there isn't a way to implement them in 2.3.4 without breaking the slide left to call, slide right to message, feature. 2.3.5 Roms have that built in on Samsung apps.
Problem probably isn't the best word.
Thanks for answering though. I always wanted the overscroll but having mixed bothered me.

There's a leaked 2.3.5 ROM for the i777 but personally I'm using designgear's Perception which is a port of a i9100 ROM and it works perfectly. I'd recommend the latter since leaked ROMs tend to have problems.

[12/20/2013] Updater Script / How to for flashing aroma based roms

Updated 12/20/2013
I have had some people ask about how to use an aroma based rom with our safe strap recovery. I have attached a zip file to the post that contains the "meta-inf" folder that goes into the archive of your rom. In theory, this should work on any SM-9005 rom or T-Mobile rom.
Prerequisites: Root - Busy Box - Safe Strap Recovery
Choose your Rom Slot and prepare it before starting ( build the system.img and userdata.img ) Instructions are HERE
Wipe system and data from recovery. Data is optional. If you wipe date, you will have to change your APN settings, network mode, time and region settings,etc....
1. Open your "Rom".zip with 7zip. Do not extract, only open!
2. Delete the "meta-inf" folder from the archive.
3. Take any apps in the aroma (maybe called something different i.e. xnote) folder that you want to keep and move them to the system/app folder in the archive.
4. Delete aroma folder from archive when finished.
5 extract the attached zip that contains the new "meta-inf" folder. File is here The extracted zip folder is named the same as the folder within the zip. You need the folder "meta-inf" folder INSIDE the zip, not the extracted folder that was just created. I know this is confusing!
6. Copy this folder to the rom with 7zip.
7. You should now only have 2 folders ( system and meta-inf ) inside the archive. Close archive and copy to phone to flash.
8. Download this file to phone. This is the second file to flash. It fixes all current issues in one package.
9. Flash Rom.zip first and then flash file from step 8. No need to reboot between flashes.
10. Reboot and let rom load.
Everything I have tested now works including NFC, WiFi, BT, All SPen functions including snote, screen write, and action memo. Bluetooth Tethering with Gear is working. Also corrected the music bug and Video chat on hangouts. By not wiping data, proper APNs are saved. If you need to wipe due to problems, you will need to load your APN settings manually.

When you're done you will have only the meta-inf folder from this post and the system folder. The xnote folder is for aroma. You will need to take what you want out of there and move to the system/app folder.

Try this, when you pull your pen out - it shows the little pie menu for things you can do. The first one is the action memo thing I believe.
Make the note come up and write a number down. Then click on the action button, "the one that selects whatever you wrote" then try to message that to a contact, If your Spen apps are working, you wont get stuck on "Recognizing" forever..Does that work for you?

I have the same problem. Perhaps a bug? Quick Google search showed this thread with same problem not related to this rom.

Was able to fix this issue on x note 6.0
Handwriting Recognition works now
The en_US folder was missing from the VODB folder which is the language settings for handwriting recognition.
Extract the zip attached and copy the en_US folder to :system/VODB
Set permissions same as other folders and reboot.

Installing Xnote 6.0
Here is how i installed Xnote 6.0 using SS by @Hashcode
Make a back up of stock rom before starting. These files will be flashed to the stock rom partition.
I recommend starting from a fresh odin with root and safe strap installed.
Wipe system from recovery but do not wipe data. this will retain your APN settings, etc....
1. Open your Xnote6.0.zip with 7zip. Do not extract, only open!
2. Delete the "meta-inf" folder from the archive.
3. Take any apps in the aroma (maybe called something different ie: xnote) folder that you want to keep and move them to the system/app folder in the archive.
4. delete aroma folder,It is called Xnote.
5 extract the attached zip that contains the new "meta-inf" folder. File is here
6. Copy this folder to the rom with 7zip.
7. Open system/VODB and copy the folder "en_US" from this zip file.
8. Close archive and copy to phone to flash.
9 Download this file to phone. This is the second file to flash.
10. Flash Xnoterom.zip and then flash file from step 9. no need to reboot between flashes.
11. Reboot and let rom load. go to xnote settings and then to update and download the fix for music and games from the dropbox link in the update app.
12. reboot and go to safestrap recovery. Install the downloaded fix file.
Reboot and profit!
Dont think i missed any steps, if something is not right, please let me know!

No problem, if something is not working right just let me know and i will troubleshoot it for you. Ive been through it a couple times and seems pretty stable for me. Flashing to the stock rom partition is the way i always did it in the past on every other device, so just back up and flash away as far as i am concerned.
Glad to see this is working for you, what about language and settings?? Does screen write with the spen actually save a picture how its supposed to and not FC?

Alrighty then. I'm home and about to do this this

Confirmed, everything works perfect doing this method. I tried earlier with an Updater script from an international stock rom, and that did not go well...
Anyone want to put it all together and have a download link? I won't be home till Saturday and would love to flash x note much sooner lol. Doesn't hurt to ask, right?
Stickied with my post-it-note 3
Does everything work? Ex. Language and input settings?

[MOD] L600 Sprint Mega Flashlight Toggle Mod TW 4.4.2 [KK]

Flashlight Quick Toggle Mod TW 4.4.2 NE4 ( De-Odexed )
[FONT=&quot]This mod was made for the Sprint L600 Mega and is for the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]STOCK[/FONT][FONT=&quot] TW ROM 4.4.2 NE4. I do not recommend flashing to a Custom Rom as the ROM may contain other special permissions/policies ( if added ) that the Rom Developer may have implemented or even may have been required to add so the Custom Rom may run or function properly. [/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]DISCLAIMER:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]By YOU, the USER, flashing this file or manually pasting to modify your Android System, YOU understand and know what YOU are doing. I nor anyone will be held liable nor responsible for YOUR doing if your phone bricks. As always, as is suggested by many and myself, please make sure you perform a complete[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]NANDROID BACKUP[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]before flashing and/or modifying your OS or the mentioned stock .jar file. I also suggest YOU keep a separate copy of the stock .jar file handy, like in your External SDcard, if the phone decides not to boot up. Knowing this, YOU assume all responsibility for what happens as YOU, the USER, know and comprehend what YOU are doing and understand the consequences or severity of damages that can be brought to your [/FONT][FONT=&quot]device by flashing or modifying your OS incorrectly. [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]You[/FONT][FONT=&quot] Have Been Warned !![/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]What's Needed/Recommended:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Rooted Devise [/FONT][FONT=&quot]( to extract the needed files Manually for backup )[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Custom Recovery [/FONT][FONT=&quot]( TWRP or CWMR/PhilZ for Flashing the ZIP )[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Aroma File Browser/Explorer[/FONT][FONT=&quot] ( type browser in CWMR/PhilZ Recovery to manually move the files )[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]If you can do it via ADB Commands then all power to you.....[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I am providing [/FONT][FONT=&quot]BOTH[/FONT][FONT=&quot] stock Modded Sprint [/FONT][FONT=&quot]( SystemUI.apk )[/FONT][FONT=&quot] and [/FONT][FONT=&quot]( SecSettings.apk )[/FONT][FONT=&quot] files [/FONT][FONT=&quot]below.[/FONT]
Flashlight Toggle Zip Flashable zip ( Tested - Not working - Removed )
SecSettings.apk
SystemUI.apk [FONT=&quot]
[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]What To Do:[/FONT]
You have two choices on installing the .apk files. You can either Flash the ZIP in your Custom Recovery or you can use some form of File Explorer via in Custom Recovery ( like the [FONT=&quot]Aroma File Explorer[FONT=&quot] for CWMR [/FONT][FONT=&quot]) or other means to copy & paste or push the .apk files to [/FONT][FONT=&quot]system/priv-app/[/FONT][FONT=&quot]. If you decide to do this manually, you will then need to set the file permissions to the modified apk files to[/FONT][FONT=&quot] 0644 [/FONT][FONT=&quot]and/or [/FONT][FONT=&quot]check mark off[/FONT][FONT=&quot] as the picture provided below shows using the method chosen through the root permissions it provides. You can rename the stock .apk files with " .bak " at the end so you don't have to delete them from the priv-app folder if you so choose. You will also need to add the “[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Flashlight[/FONT][FONT=&quot]” value in your settings.db file located in data\data\com.android.providers.settings\databases described in the link [/FONT][FONT=&quot]here[/FONT][FONT=&quot] . After just clear " [/FONT][FONT=&quot]cache[/FONT][FONT=&quot] " and " [/FONT][FONT=&quot]dalvik cache[/FONT][FONT=&quot]"ONLY after flashing or manually pasting the mod if you so choose.[/FONT][/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Words of caution[/FONT][FONT=&quot].....[/FONT][FONT=&quot]if you attempt to do this manually and are still actively booted in your Android OS while modifying or deleting the .apk file/s, there may be a chance that your phone will immediately reboot and you will not be able to boot into the OS and remain stuck as the apk’s is/are no longer visible to your OS. This is why you need to do this before booting up like in recovery.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Other Galaxy Mega Variants[/FONT][FONT=&quot] - [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Disclaimer[/FONT][FONT=&quot]:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I do not know if this will work on other carriers/models as they all are different and can or will have different permissions/policies set forth so you will be trying at your own risk. The .apk files are easily modified and the required files are easily found by searching the forums as I have. If these .apk file worked for a different Samsung Galaxy Mega devise then please advise me and give proper credit. Use, extract, exhume, etc the files as you choose or please. [/FONT][FONT=&quot]================================================== =================[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
Thanks and credits go out to :[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]@rompnit

[FONT=&quot]for the How-Too's, find’s and files needed for this MOD and the help provided. If I missed someone please PM me or let me know.....[/FONT]

Google & Samsung.......
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Enjoy! [/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]More Stock TW mods for the Sprint Mega L600 are sure to come![/FONT]
If anyone can test the flashable zip and/or check the updater-script to make sure it will back up the apk's and write the values in for you please do so and check back please.

I don't remember having the ability to turn it on or off in my settings with KitKat 4.4. The only way I knew was to use Xposed App to do so. I rather use an actual Toggle built in the stock System located in the Pull Down section.

What type of update error? Also did or did not flash? Thanks.
May end up just making this as a manual push mod instead of flashing.

Oh nice. Was it the same as the Note 2 or Galaxy S4/5? Also was this on KK NE4 and do you mind sharing the services.jar file from your Mega?
The HotSpot Mod should not affect the flashlight quick toggle. You did also edit the setting.db file as well correct and add Flashlight; to the line right?

Thank you sir. I will look into modding the services.jar for this. Also there should not be a problem for you to push these to your system, set permission to the files and then reboot. Also have to make sure you modify your settings.db file so it will show up in your toggles.

More system fonts for ZV6 roms

Wasting a couple hours on this, trying to figure it out and finally have. Rather than use iFont or something, I wanted to figure out how to make default system fonts for my daily driver--BarRin v3 currently. I edited the system_fonts.xml file and added some fonts, changed some file names, and got it working.
Includes: AlteHaas, AnkeSans, Azbuka06, Bitstream, Caviardreams, Comfortaa, DejaVuSans, MgOpenModerna, MuseoSans500, SuiGeneris, Ubuntu, Zrnic for now.
So here's what you need to do if you want to add system changeable fonts to stock ZV6 and BarRin:
1. Download and unzip attached HyFonts.zip
2. Using a file explorer w/ root (I personally like FX File Explorer but whatever works for you), copy and paste all the fonts from HYFonts folder to system/fonts after making system writable
3. copy the system_fonts.xml in HYFont folder to system/etc overwriting current one, change system back to read only
4. reboot
Profit
Enjoy
LTE to 4G icon
Got tired of looking at the "LTE" on statusbar, did some research including changing build prop and didn't like it (ie ro.build.target_county: US ro.build.target_operator: VZW). Changing Sprint's network icon png's for 3/4G would be too time consuming, so I changed only two icons that account for the the "LTE" on statusbar in LGSystemUI.apk, the rest of the icons are stock. Did not require any decompiling/recompiling, just replaced two png's after properly sizing/positioning them using GIMP and paint.net from an image found w/ google.
4G as seen in screenshot instead of LTE. For those that are interested download and extract zip file, copy/paste LGSystemUI.apk to device's system/priv-app w/ root explorer, reboot, profit
More 4G choices
here is another LGSystemUI w/LTE icon changed to 4G, screenshot of SPR version only, also attached are ATT 4G w/LTE letters, ATT 4G (noLTE letters). Follow instructions from post #2
Edit: sorry png images not showing up, just google att 4g icon for image
Thank you for the post! I had a thread over in Q&A looking for this information.
Just to verify, these fonts will show up in the stock font picker? And do I replace the existing system_fonts.xml with the new one or just copy the new one alongside the existing one?

Replace the existing one with one from post. Here's a screenshot
@Valsorim Have you by any chance looked to see if this works for ZV8?

Not yet, at work tonight, can check tomorrow
Edit: So tried adding fonts to ZV8, it's a no go for me. I will try to look at it soon, but not really liking stock ZV8, so sticking w BarRin v3 for now
