i rooted my HD...but my cousin unknowingly gave SOME PERMISSIONS(i think rw-r-r) to system folder nd restarted phone....now phone stops at CANVAS HD logo... i m on 4.2.1 stock ROM...rooted ...

dude the same thing happened with me too,why don't you reflash the 4.2.1 stock rom. Follow the following threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2312557 ,it worked in my case

yes u can install these rom but to flash the following rom u have to install clockwork recovery first and u declared that ur device is not rooted correctly.But u can give it a try as flashing via CMW is much more easier than flashing via sptool

I'm pretty sure it was ROM Manager that bricked your phone, CWM is pretty stable unless you actually try to install a bad ROM with it.

CWM 5 is stable. I flashed a lot of ROMs already and never had a single issue.

Ok nice. But just keep it in mind for the future, NEVER use Rom Manager. Use CWM 5 Recover if ever you wan't to flash a custom rom.

yup i will kuya, coz once i have installed the roam manager with cmw n my phone got stock on boot animation, im so thankful that the samsung warranty still accepted eventhough it was rooted.. Just got my phone again n back in action
Hi...i am using stock gb ...rooted and installed CWM....i thought of installing this..(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1681250)
but i forgot to see the ics symbol and flashed it ...now my phone doesnt boot ! ..it shows cwm but when i boot normally it shows the sony symbol and shuts down....CAn someone help me please ....!!Also p.s i have a locked bootloader and the installation was successful....i dont have a backup...
Try wiping data and dalvik cache.using CWM.

There shouldnt be a problem running an ICS custom ROM on Stock ROM. Could be your file is corrupt. Try downloading it again and flashing it again properly. I dont know what's the problem exactly.

If you have done a Data wipe then all your apps are gone. You can install another Gingerbread ROM and try to see your apps.

Reflash stock GB with Flashtool ,but deselect wipe data,select only wipe cache.

Unfortunately no,you must wipe data and cache to boot.Only if you flash stock rom will work without wiping data.
so my root will remain with ....CWM ? and apps too ? if i flash with flashtool ?

No,the root will not remain,only the apps. Yes you can.. But i think it'll be installed in System folder and without root you wont be able to access it i guess. Just follow the guide as you are rooting for the first time and everything should work fine. ATB

Recently i have upgraded my samsung gt-s5830i phone with different ROMs, But i am not satisfied those roms so, i came back to my stock rom with help of ClockWorkRec backup and restore option(i just restored from CWM), while restoring i got an error BOOT IMAGE NOT FLASHED. So, i went advanced restore option and restored system, data, cache files. But boot file still facing same error. Then I restarted my phone... every thing working fine but earphone was not detecting. Due to that i am not able to listen songs through earphones, and not able to open FM, not able to take a call through earphones.
Please help me how to resolve that issue. Urgent my mobile 7299850933, Email-[email protected]

Yes. i tried MindCr2.2.. but it seems not god.... that too am facing some bugs. so, i back to stock rom..

Ok Friend if u haven't resolve the problem i may have the solution first i will send u a attachment with the modules, ok u need to copy this to the root of ur SD Card and then restart ur phone in recovery mode with CWM then install this file from SD Card and Wait i think it will help u OK...

Hey guys, I'm new to this posting- so I apologise if this isn't in the right place!
I'm currently running the ONEDROID ROM with Kit Kat 4.4.2 on my HTC ONE but would like to change to a Paranoid Android Rom.
Everytime I attempt to flash it, it fails. I've tried it a number of times, but with no luck!
I also tried to flash the OMNIROM, but it was the same issue.
What do I need to do in order to flash these roms and how can I prevent this issue from happening again?

MTKTOOL doesnt find my phone :/ windows 8 says the phone is a storage device.. do I need to test it on Windows XP?

Hi again.. got it to work so far now til I will have to "download" the RECOVERY then it says 8038 in sp flashtool..
