64 GB SDHC Card cheap at Best Buy today - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

SanDisk - Pixtor 64GB microSDHC Class 10 Memory Card
Good reviews. Worth getting? Or is SDXC the way to go?

It is good deal!

I have had way too many issues with SanDisk to buy their stuff anymore. I have a spare 64GB microSD of theirs I will use on my GN10.1 2014 Edition, but my Samsung 64GB microSD will go into my GN3.

Better off spending $45-50 on amazon then $100 at best buy..

Yeah, we can close this thread. I didn't jump on the deal (which is a good thing) and ended up going with the Samsung Extreme. Already have it sitting on my desk, now all I need is the darn PHONE!...

I ordered my 64GB Samsung SDcard 2 days ago on the 18th. Still haven't gotten a status update. It just says Not shipped yet and they have not charged my card. I might cancel and try again tomorrow.

I cannot recommend SanDisk anymore given the sheer number of problems with all of their cards from 16GB, 32GB and especially my 64GB card I have. I got a Samsung 64GB microSD and I have been very happy with it, solid card no issues and same price point as SanDisk.

Compatible 32gb class microsd card?

I bought a Lexar 32gb class 10 microsd card for my tab 7.7 but after installing, it doesn't seem to be compatible in that
1/ it causes my tab to sleep of death
2/ excessive battery drain, 90% when standby but only 23% after waking 7hrs later
I'm using an old Kingston 4gb class 4 at the moment with no issues at all but need a higher capacity card.
I was looking at Samsung 32gb class 10 from amazon.co.uk which seems to be reasonably priced but not sure.

I bought mine end of last year on eBay from seller based in South Korea. Fairly certain it's a Samsung original and not a fake. However, that seller doesn't seem to have any more for sale.
I purchased mine at Fry's. It's a Patriot brand 32gb card. No issues here.

Subscribe to the Newegg e-blast emails. I see 32GB class 4-6 cards for $15-17 shipped all the time. 32GB Class 10's $20-$22 shipped. Think I've seen a 64GB MicroSDXC once too. Wanna say ~$50.
In general, the new rule of thumb for a great deal is .50/GB. I've seen as low as .41/GB from Newegg for name-brand class 4 media. Gotta watch the e-blasts for coupon codes. I look through them every single day.
Amazon is always a good place to go. U can get a 32gb for $30. I know it's there. Also u can check on Bensoutlet.com
They always have SDcards. I'm using the 32 gb PNC from Best Buy. Been using it for about 2 yrs. Never had an issue. But I had a $100 BB gift card when I bought it. I would never pay $70 for a 32gb card hehe

More reliable? That's a personal opinion as SanDisk's products have proven to be reliable as well.
One thing's for certain though, both of Samsung's 64GB microSD cards (1, 2 Reads/Writes @ 70MB/s/20MB/s) are slower than the Sandisk Extreme Plus card @ 80MB/s/50MB/s. With the Note 3's 4K video recording and best shot, the speed of the card is key.
Do the 64 gb sandisk cards need to be formatted?

The Ultras cannot, but I'm not sure if it's the card's fault. It defaults to 1080p when you choose card storage in the camera app. Not sure about the "plus." My guess is no, because it's built into the app to default to 1080p. Unless it's written in the code to allow 4k to be recorded to an external card based on testing the write speed... unlikely...much easier to default it to 1080p.

Same here. I have older SanDisk microSD cards in cameras and my kid's gaming devices which I've never had an issue with.
I'm sure tens of thousands of consumers are happy with both Sandisk & Samsung's microSD cards, just as there are plenty of people who will have all sorts of negative things to say about each company. Fact of the matter is that all products have a failure rate. That's just the reality of it. One person's bad experience doesn't set the mark for everyone else's.
Personally, there isn't an individual persuasive enough to deter me from ordering something just because they didn't enjoy it. I buy what best fits my needs.
Edit: Just received mine!
I think the 64 gig sandisk cards are the main ones that have issues.
I have a couple 32 gig sandisk cards that are a couple years old, but I have yet to have a 64 gig last more than 8 months.
After the second one I had went bad, I was googling for info on the 64 gig cards & found a thread about exactly that. In that thread, there where almost 400 responses and at the time over half of the posters had the same experience I had. Of course, people that had bad experiences with a product are more likely to speak out than people that have had no problems at all.
I know when they corrupted, sandisk didn't question the problem at all- they said they knew there had been problems with the product and where replacing them with no questions asked.
The card in my phone now is a 64 gig sandisk. It is about 6 months old and works fine so far, but I make sure I never store anything to it that isn't backed up somewhere else.

[Q] What MicroSD are people using with Note 3?

Also, anyone going larger then 64gb? Links to products would be great.

Yes there is.

I ended up ordering a Lexar from a reputable dude on Ebay. 128 gig. Nice card, it seems.

Yes. It's compatible.
The specs listed for any smartphone are created based on what is avaulable on the public market at the time the phone is announced. The listed specs are not updated, but the larger sized cards are fully compatible regardless.
Keep in mind that you will need to use .nomedia files to exclude all non-mediaplayer related folders from the indexing process(just copy one into each folder you wish to exclude), or the Media process is going to drain your battery flat within an hour.

nice to read 128 gb SD can fit my note, I will look for good prices around
wow that's too much for a phone... 2 or 3 ways away from 1TB SD card
Crazy storage
Just so everyone knows, the shortest SanDisk warranty is 5 years (some are warrantied for 10 years). If you have a bad card, don't contact the seller, contact SanDisk at http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/list/kw/microsd microsdhc/ (there's a live chat available). If you need an RMA to return the defective card, it's at http://kb.sandisk.com/app/rmaform/session/L3RpbWUvMTQyODI3NTgxOS9zaWQvSjlPcjM4am0= If you check the search box, though, you'll find that a lot of "bad" cards can be recovered pretty easily. (If it can be recognized by a computer, using a card reader, you can recover the data by running http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec on the card (instructions at http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec_Step_By_Step ).
