I have the Verizon version and I LOVE this phone. 6 hours, battery is at 95%! Amazing customizability. Already rooted. Sweet sweet phone. :victory:

I've had all the same too and definitely happy with the switch to the g2... got my root and got rid of the bloat.. figured out how to turn off fast dormancy cause it destroys my battery life on any phone when I'm home... good to go now lol

Absolutely love this phone. I've had all the flagships and this is fantastic. My only gripe is the battery isn't very good on mine. Falls fast even when sleeping. Coming from an N4 I'm used to bad battery, but I was hoping for results like the rest of you. Oh well.

Then settings then scroll towards the bottom fast dormancy... you can enable and disable from there... I don't have the best reception at my house so that really helps me

You're kidding, right? The camera is better than the S4 and one of the best out there right now. Aside from the numerous reviews confirming photo quality, I have done my own comparisons with the GS4 and Lumia 1020 and it's right on par. If you're getting bad photos, you're doing something wrong.

Yes. I decided on the note 2 instead of the sg3. I had the sg3 already but then I saw all of the features of the gn2. I'm use to the size already. I'm just a little embarrassed to hold it to my ear. Lol I'm sure that will change soon.
I love the multi window feature.
I can't wait to root it so I can have more apps in the multi Window.

Lol. My daughter has a Note 2 and she has tiny hands. She also feels weird holding it up to her ear but she loves the size and says she'll never go back to a 4.7".

I came from a GNex as well. With Beans and Nova launcher, this phone feels like a larger version of the Nexus on steroids! :good:

I came from the Epic 4G Touch and that phone was a huge brick. This thing is huge and I love it, but not so big that it's a pain to use. Everytime my wife hands me her iPhone 5 to talk to her mom I feel like I am going to drop that little thing.

Congrats! This phone exceeds my expectations I had for it. You know you don't have to root to get more apps in Multiview right? You can just mod the apk/installer of the apps you want it there and install them.

I have a stock rooted S4 I got as a replacement from asurion, for a S3, it's on ME7, I have not activated it. Just thoughts from the community, I am a long time aosp user, anti touch jizz since fascinate days. Should I keep the s4 and bear with it on rooted stock or send it back and get another S3?

Why wouldn't they? People buy the one. It's just an htc one with a note 3ish size screen and larger battery + sd card slot finally. I just want reliable and fast 4g again, something I can't have with my s4.
Edit: just read some reviews on the one max. Disappointing. Now I really don't know what I'm going to do for a phone. Maybe back to my rez.

mint condition. Never dropped. No scratches. Kind of undecided what to do with it now. The only thing keeping me on the s4 is 5in screen and battery life. Was definitely getting rid of it before I read the one max review, now I'm not sure what to do

Yeah I know. Your best bet may be a dev edition. I really don't think an unlocked bootloader is coming unless samsung leaves a door open for someone to get into in a future update.

Yeah I don't know that One design just doesn't scale well. I mean look at a One compared to a Moto X, it's a joke. They have the same screen size but the Moto X is almost the same size as an iPhone while the One is bigger than our phone. So the BoomSound speakers plus the 5.9" screen means it massive. It only has a Snapdragon 600 after all these devices are coming out with the 800. It loses OIS, which ruins the whole point of their "UltraPixels" with the larger light aperture, in favor of a fingerprint reader which so far hasn't been reviewed very well. Apple integrated the reader into the experience of the iPhone by putting it right on the home button, the One Max makes the same mistake as the Motorola Atrix. Furthermore, it doesn't even retain the best part of the One design, the unibody aluminum shell. It features a plastic ring around the phone like our S4 as well as an apparently spotty removable back that doesn't even feature a removable battery. Very disappointed in the One Max.

GPS
The G2 is a great upgrade over the Rezound. I've left my Rezound in airplane mode and G2 still has more juice left over the same period. But... there appears to be an issue with the GPS lock on the Verizon models, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485088&highlight=gps. Most of the people in the thread are with Verizon. I just flashed Clean ROM and am going to test out the GPS, but it looks bleak.
The g2 is the way to go. Blows away the rezound. Going from worst battery to best battery is very nice

I've had the G2 for a little over a week. I love my Rezound, but there is no comparison. The screen is beautiful. The phone is incredibly fast. The camera is the best I've used in any device. If you're due for an upgrade, I wouldn't hesitate to go for the G2.

Hey fellow members I currently have a note 3 on Verizon... U know spec wise the note is more powerful but my girlfriend recently got a one max and I'm liking what I see.... I had a Note 3 too and I don't really miss it at all. The battery life is about the same. I have yet to find anything that I can't do on the One Max that I could do on the Note 3. (Subtracting all the S-Pen stuff, of course.) In my personal opinion, radio reception is at the very least on par with. ROM development is growing and you don't have to worry about KNOX blowing out any chance of a warranty. All in all, I'd recommend the move.

Before the note 3 I got the very first note and now I think it would be nice to have something different.
This spen stuff is not bad but to be honest I don't really need that. Sometimes it's quite useful but I think I can live without that.

I think i can tolerate it I don't take many pics with my phone and I did a brief comparison with my note cam and my girlfriend's max cam and the note was better in the day time (not mind blowing though) but at night and in dim areas the shots looked more natural with the max... So i think I could deal with the camera downgrade..

Really thinking myself about switching just got the note 3 I love it but I've been down this road before with it this is my second one I'm really thinking hard on it I have 12 days left to take it back to best buy and swap it for the One Maxx so I shouldn't be disappointed huh fellas? ??

Same here I'm on my second one but judging from the reaction from others in the forum I won't miss much so I'm taking the plunge later tonight hopefully

Lmk how it goes I'm trying to read up on atlest how to get it rooted cause I have alot of apps that require root access but if I get some info on it I'm taking the Plunge tomorrow definitely!!

I'll keep you updated... I should have it in the next hour... Gonna put it thru it's paces the next few days.. It's gonna be refreshing to not be running TouchWiz... Haven't touched htc since the thunderbolt.... Hope the change is more positive than negative

Hello, current N3 owner and thinking about trying out the G3. Curious if any of you who have the phone came from the Note. If so, what are your thoughts? I like my Note alot but always like change. Thanks

Im a note 2 owner and its a fun device. I hate vanilla android and love touchwiz etc... Lg home is more vanilla than touch wiz that would be my silly gripe. I find the size almost perfect. Camera is great battery life is about the same as my note 2. I never used the s pen so i dont miss this function.

Thanks, same here on the S-Pen... I think the size will be perfect as sometimes I find my N3 just a tad too big.
Also came from the note 2. I loved the device, but I do prefer a more vanilla, or less convoluted experience than Touch whiz. The tw features that I actually used and where useful to me are present on the g3. The camera is night and day compared to the note 2. Takes great more natural looking shots than the s5 imo. I did use the s-pen when I remembered it was there... It was always more of a novelty to me. I could no longer justify the price tag that the note 4 is sure to come with when the g3 has the size and features I actually use, and your able to get them for a steal on contact at $99. I've loved the non Samsung/touch whiz change.
I'm sure the note 4 will not disappoint, but the g3 has been an excellent experience so far.

Yeah at 99.00 this phone is a steal and the note 4 will undoubtedly be the 349.00 price which is a lot. If the note 4 gets the so called retina scan feature i still doubt id get one.

I had note 2 & loved it, but was a bit disappointed in the # of roms to flash, got nexus 5 in Feb & missed the extra real estate something fierce. I'm thinking of note 3, LG, or HTC one max. I see there's no root for this yet. When is the note 4 supposed to come out anyway

I traded my note 3 for this brand new LG G3 off craigslist and a few things stand out. The battery last longer and the display is beautiful and the camera is sick with the instant focus. I hate when a phone have issues trying to focus or just not fast at doing it. Couldn't believe it has the same screen size as the note but yet feels smaller which is awesome. The sound is from the external speaker a little louder and crisper too. Its a good phone from LG.

It's a black note 3 on sprint. I never looked to see if they had a unlock method. I just bought the phone to mess around with it. I own many devices. It is in mint condition. I already have a gold g3. I always like to have two of the devices I mainly use. If really interested then pm me and we will work out the trade.

Looks like if you can get sprint to internationally unlock it there is a domestic unlock for it. I will research more for you.

I am coming from a Note 2. I am not at all disappointed with the phone, except the battery. I take it off the charger at 5am and can't seem to get past 3pm no matter my settings. I am also disappointed with development. I understand it's got limitations with boot loader, but the S2 and GN2 had root and custom ROMS within days of release. If I would have read more into development with LG phones, I would have waited for the GN4.

You might get yourself up to speed. Things have changed since the Note 2. Have you seen the development for the Note 3? Expect worse for the N4! Pray for safestrap let alone root for the N4!
Another thing ive come to enjoy on this vs the note 2 you can add themes to individual message threads which although no big deal none of my other phones stock messaging had that feature
