I can't find any UK restricted app on Google Play - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Hi,
My Note 2 was bought in Spain but I'm now living in UK.
I'm a Three customer and for some reason I can't find on Google Play any UK restricted app (BBC iPlayer, TV Catchup, Netflix or Halifax Bank).
If I try to download them via Google play desktop store then it says that my device isn't compatible.
I had the same problem when I was using T-Mobile.
Should I edit build.prop or flash any special file in order to be able to have those apps shwing on my Google Play?
Thank you in advance

I think you might have to change your csc file to a uk one but the easiest way if your rooted is use market enabler or one of the xposed framework apps. I think there is modaco toolkit or all apps in playstore for xposed

I didn't found any market enablet and Xmod xposed module from Modaco didn't do anything neither.
I flashed 3 CSC file but it still doesn't show UK restricted apps... Any other ideas?

That's very strange. Only thing I can think of is clear cache and data from playstore and maybe play services. Here's market enabler if you want to try it

Have you tried something like hide ninja from the playstore to spoof your location see if that makes any difference. You could try one of the modded play stores on xda as well

Hi mate,
MarketEnabler already shows that I'm using the correct code, which is the one of Three.
I don't see the reason why I should spoof my location since I'm already in UK.
I'm wondering if the problem would be that I'm root or I just should flash 3G rom (which is dated as December 3012...)
Thanks

Root can't be an issue with playstore ass some apps require root. I'm not an expert but if it was me I'd uninstall playstore and then install one of the modded one's like team blackout. If that didn't work I'd change my rom

Well I flashed Three 4.1.2 rom, which is dated on December and then I finally could access to UK apps.
The funny thing was that although I finally could download UK restricted apps I got a generic IMEI, thus I didn't have signal although I'm a Three customer. I solved the IMEI issue flashing a BTU modem and I still can download UK restricted apps, but for some reason Three FC when I try to access to my account. At least now I can download and update bbc iplayer, netflix and so on.

[Q] How do i get the US app store on my German carrier phone?

Im stationed in germany and just purchased the samsung galaxy 2 through tmobile/base but i have the euro app store. is it possible to make this phone work with the US app store? If so step by step instrictions plz. im new to android. I have rooted my phone.
Nope, its not possible in your phone. But you can always change the region of App store in PC and download from there.

Actually its possible. Search for Market Enabler in the market, its free. Since you are rooted you can use it. Download, install and run the app, give SU permission and then on the second tab select the carrier you would like to fake and Voila! It will go to any store you want.
Make sure you close the market before performing fake sim code with Market Enabler
Thanks alot, worked like a champ.

Can't install instagram?

I can't install instagram on my phone. It doesn't even show up in the play store when I try searching it. When I use the browser to get the play store link it says device is not compatible? How can I get this on my phone I know it works because a lot of you guys have it. Any fix? I've tried clearing play store data and rebooting but no luck.
I'm running saurom 7.1 latest version. And stock 320 dpi. Any ideas why this is not working and how I could get it to work?

Running the same and had the same problem. Google search (on the phone) Instagram APK there is a link that says that it's for people with problems, download and install that
After i do that will it still show up in my installed apps in google play? The reason being is so it can auto update or i will know when to get an update.
Yeah well it has updated 2 times the last couple days and still wont work on ics. So if you've updated your OS you're not missing anything......yet

Saurom isn't ICS....yes it will update itself. For some reason the playstore just doesn't wanna show that it is compatible.

Etrade MobilePro for Android download - Cannot Download in UK/Europe - Please assist.

If your rooted ( I'm assuming you are since your on XDA ) I seem to recall a program called market enabler that lets you trick it into thinking you're in a different country or using another provider. I used it once to get the facebook messenger before it was released in England. Might be worth looking for.

Thanks - I'm not rooted, and don't plan to since it's a new device and haven't got much time on my hands . Am also aware of the market enabler & clearing the Google Play cache but obviously cannot use it because i'm not rooted.
Cheers.
Bump, grateful if someone in the US/Canada could please download and share the build ?
Thanks.
Anyone ???

How do you change it to US? Thanks

I updated my market to the new Play Store and that solved my issues and try to see if you can change your geography settings on the gps etc to let it know you are outside of UK. clear the cache of the maps if possible.

Google Play not detecing installed apps and not-updated apps

I was installing free apk's yesterday in CF-rooted Galaxy S3. Some I download directly from the Play Store in my device and some I get from the XDA forums (ike SuperSU), transfer it to the device and install the apk from there. With the first few programs, Google Play easily detects that it is INSTALLED but after I installed many programs it isn't able to detect them. Usually a status of "INSTALLED" is seen in Play Store or play.google.com (in the PC) for installed apps or games. But now there are some apps that aren't detected by it.
Also, the ones that are detected by google play but are non-updated (not latest version) have "INSTALLED" status instead of the usual "UPDATE".
What could be the issue here?

You can try using Market Doctor in Titanium Backup to see if it fixes it, otherwise they might not install with the right license for the Play Store in which case you generally have to keep getting them from where you get them, or buy from the market if you want it to update.
Market Doctor will only repair broken links, if it's not licensed to your account you can't do anything to update them with the store other than buying that way.

Ok. Well but why are the other apps detected properly even though I install them by their apk files?
BUMP!
Anyone? How can I use Market Doctor?
Try clear google play data in application manager 1st
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
You can use market doctor by using Titanium and looking throug it's operations (afaik you need the paid version)
Free apps can be linked to the market, paid apps cannot.

Well, for example Mobile Odin is a paid app in the Market but I can get it free here at XDA as others have mentioned. Before, when I installed it it was linked right away to the Market as "Installed".
Oh by the way, when I search ALL my apps at Google Play Store in the S3 (not in the PC) it detects them as "installed", no problem with that BUT when I go to "My Apps", some aren't listed there and there goes my problem?
Just tried using Market Doctor of Titanium Backup and it found 26 recoverable links. I then went to Google Play Store and downloaded a free app to "refresh" the my apps list but unfortunately this whole process didn't work. So what else can I do then?
Btw, even free apps that I sideloaded aren't showing in the my apps list but are shown as installed when I search them in the store.
