[Q] Unlimited Data? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I've been looking into Straight Talk. They have unlimited talk, text, and data (LTE included) for just $45 a month.
Our Verizon GS4 is Sim unlocked and has GMS bands so my question is...
Can I buy an ATT or T-MO Sim from Straight Talk and activate on their network with unlimited data? Anyone know any reason why this wouldn't work?
Thanks!

My Friend has straight talk and he has no 4G only 3G. And if you can get the LTE 4G it is only the first 500mb at 4G then it is all 3G till the next cycle.

Possible to roam from T-Mobile to AT&T ?

I have an s 740 and I have had it for several months.
All is well with T-mobile except when I go to Lancaster County, PA.
How do I set my phone up to raom when there is an AT&T network signal?
It will not switch automatically. When I try and switch the network manually, it will not let me save the settings for AT&T.
I checked with T-Moble and I do not pay anything extra for any roaming. I am on the unlimited loyalty plan and also have unlimited data.
I do not care about the 3g AT&T has either since it is an s 740.
At this point I use a prepaid Net10 phone which gives me a full signal.
Thanks

[Q] Prepaid 3G: Simple Mobile vs At&t Straight Talk

hi guys, I'm living in Chicago area.
im using an unlock Tmobile Vibrant (3G version) and using the $ 40 simple mobile plan with an average speed of 100 kbs. its kind of slow more like an
edge speed. I'm thinking of switching to At&t 3G via At&t sim Straight Talk (BYOD).
1.what is the average 3G speed of At&t Straight Talk (BYOD) $45 prepaid plan?
2.what is the Gigabyte limit per month?
3. is the At&t sim straight talk the same 3G speed as the regular At&t sim card?
I don't think you will get any 3g at all using a T mob device with an ATT sim.

the vibrant support 1900 band so if its unlock it will support a At&t sim card

Yes be careful about using an unlocked T-MO phone on AT&T as some features may not be accessible but if it supports the frequency than you should be ok.. But if you are thinking of switching to Straight Talk BE VERY CAREFUL about how much data you use. Straight Talk is famous for disconnecting lines after just 1gb of data comsumed. Some say 2gb but that is wrong either way in my opinion lol. I have 2 friends who both have simple and straight. The friend with Straight Talk had good speeds, like 1.5Mbps normally and sometimes got up to 3Mbps. After he hit 2gb they called him to notify him he "exceeded" their data usage and disconnected him.On the other hand my friend who has Simple gets 3Mbps normally on the 4g plan and has never said anything of them throttling his data..But anywho just be careful if you are looking at Straight Talk with a T-Mo phone

Help with International GS3 in US

For some background, I'm an intermediate Android user (I have a tablet which I tinker with all the time) but a complete noob when it comes to cell phones. I bought the international GS3 with the intention of using it on T-Mobile's Walmart plan, but the radio doesn't seem to be compatible with anything other than edge.
I read the other thread about this and I realize that the only option on T-Mobile is to wait until they refarm their network, but I'm wondering what options there are on other carriers.
First, what networks (other than T-Mobile) are the phone compatible with, on 3G and hopefully 4G?
Second, what is the cheapest unlimited data plan on any of those networks?
Third, when will T-Mobile's refarming hit the northeastern US?
Thank you.
You can use it on AT&T and also Straight Talk with AT&T compatible SIM both will allow you to use HSPA.
Thank you.
What is the cheapest plan with reasonable data (if not unlimited, at least 2 or 3 GB). talk and text on AT&T?
450min voice is $40 + $30 for 3GB data + $20 for unlimited text with unlimited mobile-mobile calling. total is $90 whereas Straight Talk is $45 unlimited everything with I believe 2GB data cap at high speed.
Is there any difference between the two in terms of quality of service? That's a huge price difference.
I havent used Straight Talk but as soon as my SGS3 arrives I am going to try it out. Once I am satisfied I am dumping ATT.

Leaving Verizon for TMobile, can I keep my G3?

Hello,
Since Verizon is hiking up the grandfathered Unlimited plans $20 bucks I am leaving them.
Current idea is to go over to TMobile. I am wondering if I can take my phone over and get Calls, text and Data like normal with the phone on TMobile. I've seen some things that lead me to believe I can only get data.
Phone is currently on JasmineRom.
Thanks
First off, yes, you can.
I use my vs985 on T-Mobile via the $30/month prepaid 5gig 100min unlimited SMS plan. You will need to add in APN settings and change mobile network away from CDMA, but that's not hard to figure out.
I would get a T-Mobile sim while still on Verizon and check it out. You may be in a T-Mobile band12 LTE region, and if so its not going to work for you. I get band4 LTE on both T-Mobile and/or Cricket/AIO with my vs985, but that's about it. T-Mobile coverage is a fairly distant third behind AT&T and Verizon in my area.
Don't forget that your Verizon Unlimited data plan is valuable and that you can sell it on eBay for good money. Check under "Assumption of Liability".

TMO Bands, Bold = VS985 has.
2G EDGE: 1900MHz
3G HSPA: 1900MHz, 1700MHz/2100MHz (TMO is starting to refarm this to LTE)
4G LTE: 2, 4, 12
You'll have LTE in major cities, but will fall back to 3G pretty often.

You can't AOL consumer UDP accounts anymore. Only business.
Thanks for the info.
Like xtermmin pointed out you can't do the AOL anymore. And even if I could I believe I would have lost my phone number which I'd lie to keep.
Good to know the G3 will work. It is actually my wife's G3 I will switching over, I just got the Nexus 6P in the mail. She doesn't really care as long as it works lol
