Battery drain on stock - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello. I have such a problem, namely my battery drains hard :S Using 3 g internet it can't survive more than 5 hours ( I admit that the screen us turned if for maximum 50% of this time... Is it normal??
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app

Also on wifi 1 hour is like 20% baterry :S It sucks because even my LG l9 has better battery time with much larger screen
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app

Obviousely screen and mediaserver consume most of it.
You were playing a game or watching a video?
By some tests I did a 2.5 hours HD movie on youtube wifi drained 51-56% battery. Screen brightness, adaptive power saving mode, indoors.
My standby drain is around 1% per hour with wifi on.(no data)
So I think it is normal.

try calibrating your battery https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=lv
or reset battery stats manually thru cwm recovery.

(Q)samsung galaxy s3 battery

Hi can u tell me is my s3 battery working gud. Or normal or best
I have sending u snap
Rom is rgui v 7.6.2
I did use almost 4hours n screen was on...auto brightness
Messaging,call and browsing ..
I would say thats good. I get around 3 1/2 hours of screen time on the stock rom.

You had 4 hours of screen on? Then your battery life is awesome. Otherwise provide a screenshot from that.
Btw, there's a dedicated topic for this.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
That's good battery. Most of us reaching 4 hours of screen should have <= 20% battery left
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I don't use auto brightness but my brightness is only at about 15-20% of the way along the slider and I get over 5 hours screen on time. I'm on li8 with siyah kernel.

Interesting problem:battery

Hi friends, I have a big problem. When I shut down my s3 and open it after 8 hours, my battery discharged about % 12 -15 t,that is, my S3 is discharging when it shut down. Now i ama using Turkbey rom v17 but i have the same problem with 4.0.4 and 4.1.1
What can you say about my problem?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
It doesn't discharge when off, it's a problem with battery calibration when on. Try to shut it off and on immediately and you'll see the same.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Trust me, it really doesn't you said, it is discharging in time just like it is on
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
İs there anybody to help me

Wow, that's super weird... Is it possible that you have too many programs running in the background? I downloaded the battery saver app and it keeps my battery from going on the fritz, might help you too
İ have not a problem with my battery life only with discharging when off ...

Are you serious? Please define heavy usage.
I barely last about 3 - 4 hours with my "heavy usage "

No problem.. U can charge it as long as u like,, i charge my phone the same way but if u want ur phone to charge faster, try charging via socket and not the computer/laptop

Well, that pretty heavy usage...
I can do that intentionally by repeatedly backup restore system in recovery, 3d game with all Wi-Fi, GPS, BT, highest brightness...etc
But my daily usage costs me about 250% of battery as I have 3 battery with me...

Ah well overclocked so it uses more battery. Playing games while listening to internet radio on 3g takes a large toll on batteries.. just bought a portable charger to compensate for it
As for the original post, I take it you left it overnight, or haven't used it much for a good few hours. 10-20% drain is normal for a 8hr standby, unless you have battery draining apps (most IM apps, google now, gmapps etc)
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Thanks for all the reply.. really helpfull i got a difrent question a really noob 1.. i root my phone.. now how do i remove the pre install apps on my s3?? Do i need a specific apps.. as for the battery issue ny cable already start to act funny it took me 4hrs to get to 81% from 43% gonna change the cable and see if it works.. huuu

One method is to navigate using a file explorer to /system/app and delete apks you don't want. Not the stock one. Use astro or es file explorer. Titanium backup is a very useful tool for backing up apps and app data. Can also be used to uninstall system apps. Both methods require root permission.
As for which apps you can delete, search for safe apps to delete on xda or google and you should come across a thread.

New battery didn't fix battery life

Hi everyone, a while ago my phone's battery started draining very, very quickly. Even with the screen off pretty much all the time and no apps running, the battery drained within 3 to 4 hours or so. So I bought a new, 3500mah battery (old one was around 1400). This increased the battery life but it still drained for no reason. I updated my ROM several times but it didn't fix it. Any help?

Which ROM/Kernel are you using?
A standard CM10.1 ROM with the included kernel.

thats a pretty steep curve. Can you post the second screen where it shows what apps consume the most batttery?
Android OS might be the thing thats using the battery. Also, look at the top and bottom of the graph. The first and last percent take way longer to deplete.

I had a somewhat similar problem (except it was Maps, and it wasn't keeping it awake as much as yours was) and couldn't figure out what the heck it was.
Personally I'd reccomend Wake Lock Detector (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector&hl=en) to see what keeps the phone awake.. But uninstall it after, it can drain battery..
