Hello!
After looking into the issue of offline charging I did lot of research that what is it causing which affects offline charging and the answer is root and CWM, and I have found a fix to it NOTE : I have tested this method several times only on newly flashed ftf so I recommend using newly flashed ftf and then trying this , so if you want to fix offline charging you have to flash a new ftf, Steps-
1 - root using DooMLord's method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405933
2 - install CWM for locked/unlocked bootloaders : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2352920 until you don't root and install CWM offline charging will work but as soon as you root and install CWM offline charging wont work anymore
3 - open root explorer go to folder "Data" and then open "Local" folder, in local folder open tmp folder you will see many files there, from all those files replace "Charger" files with the file given in attachments and delete "Chargemon" file and power off your device get into CWM wipe cache and power off thats it! You have your offline charging working again even after root and CWM! This method is fully tested by me on several devices and it works without any problems so you can do this without thinking twice, good luck! Do report me!
There is no file named charger in tmp folder..... Infact there is only one file in it named init.rc......

When opening system files with root explorer in / there is a file called charger size 234.23k.
in system/bin there are both those files chargemon size 5.27k and charger size 62.02k

You guys sure you are looking in the correct folder. It is /data/local/temp/
I have just installed as per the instructions and there is no difference. When charger is connected, the phone boots. Not sure about deleting Chargemon either.

Hello, RuchRha,
i think that nothing can be. charger file is different in each locale. And it must match with locale/customize information in the build.prop for your locale.
Furthermore, it is also in my device in the path /data/local/temp only one file init.rc.
The charger file is in root / and can not delete or replace with a rootexplorer!
The Right Fix must be done befor you flash custom rom:
-before the flash needs charger in custom rom under /system/bin to be replaced with your own (match the locale of your device! best copy out of a stockrom recovery)
-in the build.prop of the custom rom need to be replaced before the flash even the lines for customize and locale.
So, don `t flash custom rom with false information for charger and locale. otherwise you lose offline charge!
+also pays attention to the following when locked bootloader! in our custom rom under /system/bin must be a recovery.tar, chargmon and ric available, otherwise you will lose the CWM after flash!

I think that the files are present there only after the install of CWM. The installer copies the files there. After you flash in CWM a custum rom on locked bootloader this files receives anymore, because they then write directly into system/bin directory.

even unZIPed the file from the ZIP and copied it to /data/local/temp

No need for a "Fix" if using DooMLoRD's easy rooting on a locked bootloader.
After rooting and installing the CWM recovery for locked bootlaoders and checking for proper root acces, flash the correct kernel in flashmode but select ALL the wipes, EXCLUDE SYSTEM and check NO FINAL VERIFICATION. The phone will start like new, but with CWM, Root and no longer the offline charging bug.

Not quite correct I have followed doomlords tut to get root and installed cwm,I have offline charging issue,but this is no biggey for me as I always keep phone on and when possible connected to charger.

Same here. I used superoneclickv1.6.3 shortfuse to root. installed superuser and busy box. but in that process the phone never rebooted by itself. I always had to manually reboot.... during the xrecovery install i cant get to the second screen it just stops and i am left with the install app only.
Used the manual method of copying files to system bin and then install via the apk. wiped Dalvik cache first thing
When I used super1click it says x-recovery is installed, but when I re-boot it just... re-boots. But it's rooted, and installed jit ok. Strange

Hey guys... first at all, sorry my poor english...
Today i tried too instalate the recovery and nothing works fine. But, I did something that works.
I install manually, according to the instructions at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571.
Resuming: "Manual Installation:
- Download the apk, rename it to xrecovery.ZIP
- Unpack the file, find ./res/raw folder inside. It should contain 3 files (chargemon, busybox, xrecovery.tar)
- copy these 3 files into /system/bin using root explorer (remember to remount /system rw"
But after do this, I allready not could use recovery. Then I open the app in the drawer, and also install in there. The 3 archives must be with a green circle, then everything must be allright.

Use flashtool to install xRecovery.
The phone's rooted, using flashtool, also tried super one click and that's working. It's just x-recovery that won't install.

Hi all i create an update.zip.
I signed it, after adding apks (/system/app), datas (/data/data) and modifying the updater-script.
So, when i flash it, the recovery executes it perfectly, but when i reboot my phone, only a part of the apps that i wanted to add are installed and the others are in /system/app but not installed and when i try to install them manually with Root Explorer in /system/app, this is the output:

And,comes another guide from me.... I was actually extracting a stock firmware and this came into my mind
Ok,I made this guide since the process of extracting firmware is a bit confusing sometimes.So,lets start with it
What you would need:
1.7zip or any other zip utility
2.Stock Firmware
3.MagicISO
4.Nothing else
Tutorial:
1.Start off by downloading a stock firmware,for this guide,we assume its DDKQ8
2.You will get 2 files, S5830DDKQ8_<bla bla>.tar.md5 and SS_DL.dll
3.Ignore the second file,we only need the first file which has an extension of .md5
4.Now its not possible to extract the file with the current extension.
5.So,rename the file S5830DDKQ8_<bla bla>.tar.md5 to S5830DDKQ8_<bla bla>.tar
6.Now,the file is extractable,so extract it.
7.You will get approx. 9 files: arm11 boot,amss,csc.rfs and various others.
8.Delete all the files except boot.img and system.rfs.These are the only files we need.
9.Now,using MagicISO,open up system.rfs and extract it.
10.Make a new folder named Rom_working
11.Now,move the boot.img there
12.Make a folder called system
13.Move all contents of system.rfs to this this folder.
14.Now all you need is a META-INF folder to complete the rom.(Unless you messed up)
Thats it! Pretty easy huh,this is something really basic,but a few people get confused on extracting it anyway.Its just meant to be a basic guides for those people.If you want to get more info on making a rom,refer this guide which i wrote a few months ago.Hope this helped you guys out.
NOTE: I am not responsible if you mess up your phone or w/e happens to it.Btw,<bla bla> stands for the rest of the filename

Make one yourself,refer other stock roms for the path,then get the update binaries and script from BlackHawk (if stock ONLY).

Kernel is in boot.img. If u want to change kernel, you should change the boot.img

Hmm is it possible to extract a stock ROM from the phone itself? Or not extract but get the stock ROM as zip (with those md5 files, etc) so that it can be flashed via Odin on another phone?

I want to flash the rom in another phone... or maybe it works by copying the backup files cwm made into the another phone? But anyways i tried to restore the stock rom once but it failed.. but thanx

For Odin flash,refer freeyourandroid.com.
For CWM flash,take updater script and binary from Blackhawk and put it in your rom

ok all you have to do is put the file it should be in a folder already and if its in a zip or rar extract it then put in sdcard then put it in the folder clockworkmod which should be on your sdcard already then inside the backup folder and if you dont have any do the following
on the root of your sdcard make a folder called "clockworkmod" no caps then inside that another folder called "backup" then inside that one put the extracted filed then boot to recovery and choose restore from external sdcard and you should see the file

correct but the tar files must be inside a folder so to be more exact
root(externalsd)/clockworkmod/backup/folder(you can name it whatever)/all the tar files and etc

That's what I thought. Because when I backed up my current rom. It was in a folder. So either method would've worked I just didn't create an extra folder. Thanks.

He Probably did the backup with artas recovery so you might have to use that one but im not sure...

Wait you dont have unlocked bootloader do you? ((extra info)and so you know when you flash a recovery to unlocked bootloader it registers as a P760 phone and artas recovery registers as a P769) it all depends how he did the backup thats why you get md5 mismatch but then again sometimes it acts really stupid but ask him what recovery he used to backup artas or unlocked bootloader
The backup file that you downloaded will have a specific folder name. Usually the date and time it was made. You will get a mismatch if you modify the folder name. Just extract the backup to the backup folder.
sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/date and time/files

Thats actually not true i always modify the name of my backups and i never get md5 mismatch

Then its probably as you said, backup compatibility.
Or the files are actually corrupt.
If you feel like living on the edge, you can modify the nandroid.md5 file to match the md5 of the files that have a different number. I do this when I want to install a different boot or recovery img that was not backed up with the original.
Edit:
Or check if the md5 numbers are actually correct. Type (in a terminal)
md5 <name of file>
Example
md5 recovery.img
and compare that number to the number found in the nandroid.md5

6. View the details of

tap on file>Details- on

got in file details.

I guess that's not working too, as restoring a nandroid backup on our devices doesn't restore the kernel, and it's even technically impossible. I guess that can't work

Yes on Samsung galaxy devices it could work (I guess it should be working if there's this guide) because they have a separate kernel/recovery partition. On our xperia devices the recovery is installed in the kernel and you can't flash another kernel from your running kernel. So on xperia devices this won't work I guess

But if you have the kernel in zip format you can install it from recovery.. My friend have xperia sp and he flashed several kernal from recovery. .... But the problem is to get a flashable recovery... I didn't find anyone for my Mobile

I take a nandroid backup and change the kernal if I restore it the kernal will back or what??

If you restore the backup it won't restore the kernel. Flash the kernel for the rom you restore first and restore it then

I think this question has been repeated upteeeenth time
YOU CANNOT FLASH KERNEL VIA RECOVERY ON XPERIA 2011 DEVICES
Reason #1 : We don't have a recovery partition .Other devices boot from recovery partition which allows to flash boot partition .
Reason #2 : Our recovery lies in boot partition. You cant flash kernels while they are running .
Depending on the recovery used ,the flashing will fail or the device will be hard bricked .
Only way to flash kernels on Xperia 2011 lineup is via fastboot .Period . No compromise .
Don't apply methods for other devices on 2011 lineup without prior knowledge.

So you till me that I cant flash a kernel in any way without a pc
But I don't have pc right now... I'm stuck with my recent Kernel

Can you help me with this problem my friend.
When I was on stock Rom I mack a nandroid bahck up then I changed the Rom ond the kernal.... yesterday I flashed the stock kernal then restored the the back up.... Look at the picture to see what happened :what:

You have corrupted backup or you deleted some file off the nandroid backup ..

No I didn't do any thing.... But when it failed to restore I opened the nandroid.md5 file of the backup and check the md5 and I notice a different in the system md5...
