[Q] Amp fix for CM10.2 - HTC Droid DNA

I wanted to know what the amp fix is for? I seen people talk about it but I never truly understood what it meant. If you guys can help me understand what does the amp do and what effect of not having the amp have? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Our device has an audio amplifier, no amp means quiet(un-amplified) audio.

Do a search for a small file called "audiopara" (or something similar to that).. That should help for louder volume for many other things too.

double curious.
I really would like to know as well.
Does anyone know if music sounds good through the headset jack and loudspeaker? I use my phone as a MP3 player.
I'm surprised, after enjoying Voodoo sound for a year on my Vibrant, that there isn't more interest in this.
It's going to be awfully hard to give up for either SGS2 or Amaze--want to make sure I know which one has the best music experience. Not sure I'll be able to assess that in the store.

Louder audio?

New g9, Had planned to use it in the car for the kids, but now I'm worried it will not be loud enough' even with the audio run through a cranked up car stereo. Is there anything I can do to increase the volume?

There's a certain limit for the audio codec used inside the Archos devices, concerning output level. This is kind of standard level used on a mobile device.
Should be always loud enough if you use some eternal amplification.
If you speak about car stereo... consider to connect the Archos with a 3.5mm line cable, i guess it should be loud enough then.
If not, you should consider to buy a new exhaust pipe for your car

I think android version 4.0.4 fixes low audio issue...maybe if archos updates with this it would help

Hey,
stumbled over this hint at http://www.openaos.org
If you want to damage your hearing, this one is for you:
echo ro.audio.no_adjust=yes >> /data/local.prop

so, what you just said is that, a file called local.prop situated in /data/ folder must be edited with "echo ro.audio.no_adjust=yes" line to have a louder sound? And for that is it necessary to root the G9?
Thank you

How can I route Call sound to phone speaker

How can I route Call sound to phone speaker on cm7 without using any Paid apps.
My phones mic doesn't work and no mechanics were able to fix it. No HTC care or something is present in my city.
I am able to use my phone with headphone mic. Now I want to fix the problem headphone mic to my phone but only problem is I need the sounds to come out of the phone speaker/sbox.
Basically :
My phone need to do this:
Headphone mic for voice input.
BUT outputs call sound through phone speaker or sound box.
I only need it during phone calls but all time is okay too.
I'm rooted, s off on cm7.2 drowning child's kernel, on the Intruder(At&t)
Version of the now low end phone HTC Aria.
It has a room choice of cyanogenmod 6 and 7.2 official, cm9,10 custom ported. Have good knowledge of android but NO developer. Ready to do every thing except bricking my phone to achieve this.
How can I achieve this?
(I should have posted this on my devices forum but there's almost no one there except one or two kind hearted porters, so I am posting this as general android question)

So you are saying your internal microphone is broken, and you want to use an external mic but also use the internal speaker. Did you try using speakerphone at a low volume, maybe that would work for you.

Great idea, using tasker to auto mate the process and works like a charm. Thanks man, it is a bit awkward though but a blind dog is better than no dog.

Have you tried a factory reset.
Maybe an app is causing the issue. You'll never no. If worse happens the speakers went bad.

Yes I tried factory reset but nothing changed..
Are external speaker and headphone jack somehow connected? Because, headphone doesn't work as well.. The sound is very very low on headphones..
