I do not have any news on custom Roms, but some great people have recently got the Moto X so you may see something from another person, I currently have no plans.

any chance of adding OTG support so backups can be done to external storage?

I was able to flash this to a Droid Maxx Developer Edition and boot into it fine. Was able to install zip from SD Card and gain root and remount /system as read/write. What I did is over here:

Hi I'm on cm11 currently and I went to wipe my system but when I load another ROM my settings and apps are all still on my phone..for some reason nothing really gets wiped.. Any help or a fix for this would be awesome.

I have no idea sorry!
@ safariking
thanks for the files we are actually looking for this sgp 5.0 users because we are after enabling the hands free profile (picking up calls from bt paired device)
can you please confirm if this feature is working properly in your device
im also interested on how you got 4.1.1 running in your 3.6 maybe we can port it to our devices as well
Well, your last file by Hundz is a pre-rooted Korean rom, that has Korean and English languages support, i'm running this rom now on my 3.6.
What is your first rom? You are saying it's made by you, what do you mean made by you? Is it a stock rom from Samsung with no modifications or what?
Thread updated!
deodexed unpacked factoryfs.img added!

the answer to your first question (i posted this in another thread, when someone asked a similar question):Well, yes and no. While you can’t use GP 3.6 as a phone, because (as others said) it doesn’t have a gsm/3G radio in it, you CAN use it as a bluetooth handsfree with another phone or tablet that has 3G, because it supports bt handsfree profile. That’s what I do. However, you have to test and see if it works properly with a particular device, because some devices don’t work well/at all with GP 3.6. For example my 4 years old Windows Mobile 6.1 phone refused to work with GP 3.6, though they could pair and the phone could even detect it as a bt handsfree. My other phone running android 2.3.6 could pair and detect the GP 3.6 as a bt h/f, and the GP 3.6 could pick up the incoming calls and dial through it, there was no sound during the calls going through the GP 3.6, I fixed it by installing android 4.0.3 on this phone, after that everything worked like a charm. With my 7” 3G tablet running android 4.0.3 the GP 3.6 works as a bt h/f with no problem at all. BTW, you don’t need to root your GP 3.6 to get this functionality, it’s already there! A couple of limitations – you can’t dial the numbers from a GP 3.6, you can only choose the contacts from well.. contacts and dial the numbers assigned to them (which is all I personally need) and also you can’t send/receive sms (that’s a pity). However, the GP 3.6 can identify the caller if it’s in contacts and show the name/picture assigned to them during a call.
as far as your second question is concerned- i think he's running some kind of theme with elements from android 4.1.1
Modded and tweaked version is almost done!
Need to repack the Factoryfs.img
Excellent work.

[ROM][4.4][Unofficial] CyanogenMod 11.0 [1 Dec 2013]

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (Kit Kat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Umm the clock work mod is in a .img don't I need it to end in .zip to flash. Anyone know where the .zip for the clock work mod 6.0.4.5 is?
Booted
Booted, then froze first time. Did Factory Reset and booted again. CM Account crashed once. Logged in. So far, everything is starting up.
Edit: Google Play Services crashed. Soft Rebooted. Seems to be Hangouts causing the crash.
Edit: Not Hangouts. Seems be happening with all google apps. Going to redownload everything and try again.

What is CWM?
ClockworkMod, abbreviated as CWM, is a very famous custom recovery for all the Android phones and also tablets.It is developed by Koushik Dutta (Koush), a well reknown name in the Android dev community. ClockworkMod recovery helps you to perform many advanced recovery, restoration, installation and a good maintenance operations on the Android device that are not possible with stock recovery, and it is one of the most easy ways used to gain root access, back up device data, install custom ROMs, kernels & mods, and more. However, for anyone new to Android customization and hacking, some of its options might be proved to be a highly confusing ones.

What is CWM?
This recovery was compiled with PAC-man ROM. It has full SELinux support and I recommend to use it for flashing all KitKat ROMs.

Will this work if I've changed the partition size for my phone? I made the internal SD card 200 MB and the phone storage 2.5 GB. Will this recovery still work? I'm on TWRP 2.5

[WEEKLY BUILDS] CyanogenMod 12.1 for Mate 2 (MT2L03)

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please

* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*
*/
IMPORTANT, READ THIS
This build is for MT2L03 ONLY
You need TWRP and an unlocked bootloader. You need to have updated to at least B322 before you can install this build.
Recommended TWRP build is HERE.

You might want to reduce the LCD density in Settings -> Display. We have to leave it at default for various reasons. I use 240 and it's wonderful.
WHAT?!?! Are my eyes deceiving me?!
What?????????????????????????????????????????
Awesome!
Yeah baby, trying tonight!

are you using the posted TWRP? or different version?
Resolved. Lol. Whew.
i used all files from this post. made sure my device had b309 flashed. get the bootloader up and fastboot twrp. #success
I've updated the top post. You really need to use that TWRP for the time being.
Thanks. I would suggest anyone using this to force 309 first. Huawei made some odd changes in 321. Bypassing recovery. Maybe that caused his issue? Thanks for this. Renewed hope in a good phone!
There's no need to downgrade to B309. B321 is also fine, there is a workaround posted elsewhere in the forum.

In Development Settings is an option for root and adb enabled.
Should already be rooted. Enabled in settings.

How is it running so far? Smooth? Glitchy? Any issues?

Some have not been able to boot into twrp with 321. Says its installed but still boots into stock. SHM has been working on it.

CAF-6.0.1 [Lux]

Hi All,
I've been working on a CAF version for osprey. This is started from kernel and device tree made by Alberto97 and Squid2, so thanks a lot to them for the bringup. This project has been changed in order to work for surnia/osprey and lux.
This version is very early for Lux, but it's been running on osprey and surnia for some weeks/months now.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
For now only a few things are working:
Working
Bluetooth
SMS/RIL
Sound
Camera
Dual sim
Gps
Not working
Nothing really just a few bugs
Binaries

This project was initially pure caf, but it now take some repo from CM and some CM commits too for exfat support and Audio/Video features.

Changing network modes on XT1562 RetAsia Dual Sim is messed up, and sim cards can't be disabled. https://github.com/AOSParadox/android_packages_services_Telephony/commits/yu-caf-6.0 picking teh stuff from here should fix it.

Flash 2.52 it works fine
Settings crashes when tried to set ringtone anyone fixes ..?
Does it takes more time to boot..?
Picking up the phone doesn't wake up the lockscreen. Is there a way to possibly implement something like CM?
