[Q] how much usable space on 32gb version of HOX+ ? - HTC One X+

hello everyone,
I would like to know, how much usable space is there in 32gb variant? I read many threads but no one has mentioned anything about 32gb HOX + . Then I started reading HOX threads & there I found out, 26gb is usable out of 32gb. so is the same with HOX+ ?
and is there any other major difference apart from internal memory in these 2 variants?
thanks in advance.
sorry if this is wrong place to ask,but don't know where to ask

just 1 question, when you install app does it go to that 9gb partition or stay on 55gb usual partition?

Yupp you get 25.5 gb approximately. But as someone else said, never heard about a 32 gb HOX ± the original Htc one x has 32 gn versions not HOX ±

Thats really fishy!
ok first thing - this is not a FULL HD display - thats misleading.
I think this device is ATT device in the US -- look at the description on the bottom of the ebay link --
it says this
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - for AT&T
4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100 - for AT&T

That leaves me skeptical that it might be a locked device and i might be better of purchasing an unlocked one.

ur correct its locked n imported device. but the seller is going to unlock n then will send to buyers. all online devices here in India will be imported as regional stock is over long ago, also the price is very less. I'm getting 32gb version in 20500 INR ($305) .so I wanted to make sure if someone using this version on xda but I guess no one has it. I'm skeptical about the phone though but no option left . I think will get 64gb version as all here are using the same

you might have ROM and rooting problem in the future
Since no one is using it you might not find support for it on xda

Always check the official HTC site before buying a product. The official HTC site says that one x+ is only available in 64gb
http://m.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-one-x-plus/
As others mentioned I suspect it's the one x and he is trying to sell it as the one x+ as it's usually hard to spot the difference when you hold it.
Edit: I did a Google search and people claim to find 32gb variants of the phone , and there are reviews about it. Which is really weird.
Off-topic: HTC finally has a mobile version of the website .. LOL..

You'll get the update when it's released. Location has no impact on updates only CID.
If the seller misrepresented the product, open a paypal dispute. Even if your happy with the device. I'd do it out of principal.

It's true to a certain extent. Yes you can flash any RUU intended for your device with SuperCid.
But you can't flash an international roms on a AT&T HOX+.
This is because the 2 devices have diffrent radio hardware..

True... a lot of potential with this one I think I'd be okay with just root for a while with the new OS and Sense version... we'll probably talk about accessories for the most part since battery is more than enough on a non 4g network.

The htc page doesn't say anything about GSM. It USED to, but it was obviously a mistype, considering it was changed to WCDMA 1-2 hours later. And now the specs page is completely gone.

again, read the source. Its pointing to the htc specs page. As I mentioned, the specs page was wrong. When it was first posted it said GSM/WCDMA/LTE/WIMAX. But 1-2 hours after that, it was modified and changed to WCDMA only.

International HOX+ on AT&T

Hello all, would i be able to use the international HTC One X+ on AT&T in the US with no issues?
I would assume so. I use the International One X on AT&T in the US right now and the radios on the One X+ are supposed to be the same. In fact, I'm waiting on my UK One X+ to arrive so I can drop my AT&T SIM card in it and get rocking.

Looking to buy a Telus One X+ for shipping to the US so that I can get it unlocked and use on AT&Ts network. It doesn't appear that Telus will let me purchase and ship to the US.

I'm wondering the same thing. I think probably we'll have to wait for them to show up on eBay. I'm guessing maybe after Christmas people will have phones that they don't want for some reason. It also looks like in the past Negri Electronics sold the Rogers version of the One X (for a very high price), so perhaps the One X+ will show up there at some point.

Yeah, that basically it. I don't like the carrier branding. I guess I'm just particular that way.
And I don't mind waiting a month or two, until they show up on eBay. The price will probably come down some. And hopefully by then there will be a version of Cyanogen available, so I don't have to spend one minute with Sense (yuck). Also in the mean time, I may still decide to get a Nexus 4. I'm still in a wait and see mode, to see how people's experiences with the glass back go.
Although I've checked out both phones in the store and, for me, the One X+ feels much better in the hand as well as seeming more high quality. (There's also the extra storage in the One X+, the capacitive buttons, a better camera, and a little bit better of a screen--all features I like.)

hi i was wondering if you know why my htc one x plus shows as evare_ul on my computer model number and phone name this is a telus phone unlocked and on the bell network.
thanks,
I think all phones have an internal code name used by the company that designed it. I believe they use this name during the design process, before they've figured out the commercial name they'll use for marketing purposes. I'm guessing EVARE_UL is HTC's code name for the AT&T/Telus version of the One X+. Probably when you plug your phone into your computer at some low (file structure?) level the phone identifies itself to the computer by this name.

Slithered from my HTC One X+ running Viper XL+
According to GLBenchmark the code name for the LTE version (AT&T/Telus) of the HTC One X+ is evitareul, which Pocket Now suggests is probably supposed to be read as Evitare UL.
http://www.glbenchmark.com/phonedetails.jsp?benchmark=glpro21&D=HTC+PM63100&testgroup=system
http://pocketnow.com/2012/07/12/htc...roid-shows-in-benchmarks-new-one-series-model
I think one can imagine how in the file system evitareul or Evitare UL might get abbreviated to evare_ul as in dweenz initial post about this.
I'm guess the L in "UL" stands for LTE. Don't know about the U.

Returned my One DEV and ordered a T-Mobile version

Hello guys,
The Straight Talk service on my HTC One DEV had been decreased significantly since I reactivated it last month. Enough 0.16Mps download speed for me, so I decided to return the Dev version (due to some minor physical imperfections) and got a T-Mobile version.
As I read on the forum, the T-Mobile version of the One has all the bands that AT&T version doesn't. With military discount, I pay roughly 60 bucks per month for unlimited everything (only 15 bucks more from what I pay with Straight Talk). So this is a good deal for me.
Hopefully I have made a right choice

I've got a htc amaze with android 2.3.4. Was checking the phone and found that its made in china. The phone is from tmobile. Someone please guide whether htc amaze from tmobile made in china is original or not? Also wanted to know if htc amaze and htc amaze 4g are two different phones?

The Ruby was manufactured in China by HTC for T-Mobile USA, who markets it as the Amaze or the Amaze 4G (just one device, sometimes the 4G appellation is ignored.)

HTC is a Taiwanese company, of course it's made in China. Taiwan is part of China according to China and most of the world, but not America. Just because it's made in China doesn't mean it's not real, it's a great quality phone.

Well actually the Asian Amazes need S-Off since the firmware is different. So saying the difference is only Carriers is a bit inaccurate.

yes, but I found that when I had my HD2's the ones made in Taiwan were much more reliable than the ones made in China.

In general I found the same as you stated. But electronics made in China have indeed improved a lot than a few years ago. I still prefer Japan > Korea=Taiwan > China if given a choice, though.
Actually that was my dilemma when I had to choose between Amaze and One S. The T-Mobile One S was made in Taiwan with S4(much better CPU) while the Amaze(all made in China) has a better front camera, SD card, removable battery, and a supposedly better display(if you prefer LCD over AMOLED, this is subjective, though...) but a power hungry and slower S3... I've had the Amaze for 14 months but not sure if I made the right decision or not...
In summary, yes. HTC Amaze is made in China like most of the cell phones today. Even Samsung switched from made in Korea (Behold 2) to made in China. (TMO versions of S3 and S4)
UPDATE: I found my current HTC Amaze is made in Taiwan. What happened was that my original Amaze had a problem with dusts in the front camera. It was so bad that the image from the video camera gets quite fuzzy. Since it was still under warranty, I sent it to HTC service center for repair (cost me $10 via USPS). HTC support told me that would repair but not replace my phone. But in fact they replaced it with a new phone made in Taiwan. I only found out when my unlock code failed to work and then I saw in the back the phone is now made in Taiwan with different a serial number and IMEI.
