Diztronic Note 3 case - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I've been a Diztronic case lover for quite a while now. They're so minimalistic and yet so protective. I've had one for my VZN Galaxy Nexus, Droid DNA, S4, and now my Note 3 just came in the mail today. It doesn't look like much but these cases have saved my phones from several drops including drops hitting the corner. I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone that wants good protection without adding a ton of bulk.
*Fair warning* - these cases do not come with screen protectors. I haven't ever used a screen protector on my phone without a scratch (plus completely unnecessary with Gorilla Glass 3).
Second pic is new case side by side with my S4 case. Now I just need my phone to fill it... ... ....
EDIT: Oops, for got to put Amazon purchase link

So the Note 3 does have Gorilla Glass 3 then? and you don't use screen protectors?

Yes, the Note 3 has Gorilla Glass 3. No, I don't use screen protectors. Completely useless to me. I bought my S4 on launch day, May 23rd. As you can see, even in this borrowed iCrap 5 photo, there isn't a single scratch. Also you see how snug the Diztronic case is around my S4.

My Diztronic case came yesterday. I too am a big Diztronic fan. I tried multiple TPU cases for my GNex, and always came back to the Diztronic. I do have a Spigen Neo Hybrid case also on order, but won't be too unhappy if it doesn't work out since I know I'll like the Diztronic. Now I'm wondering if the N3 with Dizronic/Neo Hybrid will fit any of the pouch/holsters I've ordered!

I have used a Diztronic TPU case on my S3 since summer 2012 and it has been fantastic. High quality TPU cases for a low price. I am probably going to get a Neo Hybrid case for the Note 3 just to change it up a bit. Might end up picking up a diztronic as well, we will see!

Is Gorilla Glass 3 more scratch resistant than previous versions?
And thanks OP for the review on the case. I had it in my Amazon wish list so I just moved it to my cart and checked out

You sure the oleophobic coating didn't fool you? Use a microfiber cloth to wipe it off.

Ouch sorry to hear that. I definitely keep my keys and phone in different pockets or ensure that my keys are always on the back side of the phone if they HAVE to be in the same pocket (not the case 99% of the time).

Yes, the 3rd generation of Gorilla Glass is the most resistant so far. They keep improving at every step.
You're welcome and congratulations on your purchase!!! You'll enjoy the enhanced grip with the added protection!

I've never had an issue pressing the buttons. In fact, the case sometimes makes it easier. The case is thinner where the buttons are, but add a little more thickness. You get a good press every time. I just took my S4 case off and snapped a pic of the thinner spot where the volume buttons are.
I'm not going to tell you not to buy the SPIGEN case either. Apparently a lot of people like it from the Note 2 and other devices and has a good reputation.
I'm just going by what I know. The Diztronic cases are very good for a minimalistic experience with good drop protection. They are no Otterbox though, not even close.
EDIT: Silly me...forgot the pic

I am ordering one of these for my Note 3 tonight. I have been using one on my S2 for almost 2 years and love it, I drop my phone a lot and it looks new.

Just got my black diztronic case today. I have used them on my EVO 3D and EVO 4G LTE. Great light duty case. I'm just not the type that wants the phone to get too bulky but I don't want to run it naked so these work great!

I just purchased one hope I'll like it lol

i've lived with it since Feb '12, reckon i will keep on keepin on :silly: plus it now has the Glast on it, i'd hate to remove the Glast and then find that the scratch really is permanent.

I love the matte finish. The port cutouts are very accurate and the case fits nice and tight. It's definitely a keeper especially for the low price of $10. My only wish is that the "lip" of the case was also matte instead of shiny/polished.

My Experience with the amFilm GN3 Premium Screen Protector

I was one of the people that inquired about the new screen protectors released by the owners at TechMatte. I applied the screen protector for a few days before I received by iLoome flex tempered glass, but I must say that had I not ordered the iLoome previous to receiving this screen protector, I don't think I would have ever made the purchase for the tempered glass.
Applying was a breeze (I've done plenty in the past) and the surface is silky smooth. I don't have the orange peel effect and it makes it seem as if you were using the phone without a screen protector at all. It's that good. S-Pen glides with ease! Thickness is top notch and fits in my slim case just fine. The alignment and cutouts are to the T! All in all a great screen protector at a great price. Packaging is exceptional.
I received 3 in the package and gave the other two out to my uncle and friend. Before I gave them each one, I applied to my phone first to ensure that they wouldn't be disappointed if I was initially as they've had negative experiences in the past with other protectors. Fortunately, I haven't heard anything negative and they are still running it to this day.
If you don't want to do the tempered glass route, go with amFilm screen protectors! They're a steal at this price:
http://www.amazon.com/amFilm-Protec...d=1384831915&sr=8-1&keywords=techmatte+note+3
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the screen protector on the my GN3, as I have switched to the iLoome. But imagine a naked GN3 and that's essentially what it feels like.
S pen glides like a loaded down dually going uphill in deep snow. Other than that it was good. Seriously. But I did take off for another brand that is good with the s pen also.

Amazing description, lol - but did you try with the harder plastic S-Pen tip? My Note 3 came with the rubbery one pre-installed, and I switched it to the firmer plastic one right away for better gliding. It's hard to tell, but if you look closely and test them on the screen before inserting them into the S-Pen, you can tell the difference between the tips...

Hmm.. Will double check later. I could've sworn my pen came with the harder tip already on. Will be awhile before I test the am film again though. The screen protector I am using now is very good, rearth invisible defender . Very resistant to scratching and good swipe action without having to add rain x or oleophobic coating. Still haven't opened my ismooth's yet either which I liked on note2.

Need Screen Protector Recommendations

I use the S-Pen a lot, mostly for sketches or quick notes. I have gone through a bunch of screen protectors that either leave scratch marks or create a lot of friction, like rubber on rubber. I really don't want to use one of those thick glass screen protectors since the one I bought literally shattered within a month lol. Instead of wasting 100+ bucks trying to find the right screen protector it would be awesome if someone could recommend one that they have personally used and works great with the S-Pen.
Instead of replacing your screen protector again, have you changed your spen tip? Try the plastic ones that came with it instead of the rubber ones.

I had a transparent TPU case on it, but like you said because they are so thick there isn't much of a lip. They are more apt to getting hit. I was thinking of maybe getting those cheap tempered glass protectors from eBay since there isnt that big of a difference in quality, they are only like 8 bucks so i can probably buy 5-6 in bulk.

The glass I just ordered looks exactly like the Mime feather: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151149432433
if that doesn't work out ill give the Mime feather a shot, just ordered a aluminum button from them though lol. Spigen doesn't have any available for the Note 3 that i know of, plus they are noticeably more expensive.
Zagg. I don't use anything else. Feels nice with the pen. Good warranty too - Samsung had to replace one of my Note 3s, so they took the Zagg off and stuck it on a piece of paper. It's costing me a little over $3 (shipping & handling, I guess) for a new screen protector. Zagg didn't do anything wrong, the protector's still fine. But they're replacing it.

Best Clear Case and Screen Protector for the S8

So I'm getting my S8 today but I still don't have anythong for its protection.
1.) What is the best CLEAR case for this device that gives it basic (slim but not too slim)? I also want to have that raised lip for the fingerprint sensor in the back.
2.) For screen protectors, is Temperd Glass recommended for curved devices? If so, which one is best?
I want to have the total cost for these at a minimal as I don't feel like spnding a lot just for the these basic accessories.
Thanks for the help!
Well I wasted almost 30 bucks on screen protectors and the only thing I can say is DO NOT buy any 3D tempered glass that is supposed to cover whole front. The main problem here is the adhesive which is located only on edges of the protector. There is air between screen and protector, which sometimes decreases touch responsivity, forcing you to apply some pressure in certain areas so that the input is registered. Also, most of these 3D glass protectors collide with many cases, so they simply don't work. Personally, just go for some decent case that will secure your device from drop, like RhinoShield or Spigen Neo Hybrid. If you care about design and don't want to lose it, go for something clear and thin/ultra thin
I bought a Baseus case from eBay and lobe it so much. So thin and light and matches perfectly. They are in Amazon too.
Also works with my Darth Vader skin that I have on the back so it still shows that off.

Definitely do not buy any harted glass. I have ordered 3D TPU film that has adhesive on whole surface it will ship on thursday so I will tell ya if it works or not

I strongly thinking of going back to no protector. I tried glass and the White Stone dome one was great except the glue on the side kept chipping out and looked terrible. I've got a film protector on now from Best Buy Canada and again it feels so crappy compared to the naked screen. If I remove it I'll still be careful but I do have insurance just in case. I already don't use a case (only a skin) for the very same reason...that I want to enjoy the feel and look of this beauty, not cover to up to protect it for someone else in the future.

I did that with my HTC 10 for a year for the same reason and it has no scratches or micro-abrasions at all. I think it's pretty safe to assume the S8 will be no different. As for going caseless... I wouldn't recommend that for a device mainly made of glass lol. Check out the Supcase review I just posted and try it out if you like. If not, return it or at least you'd have something to put on your phone when you're going somewhere or doing something that may cause you to drop it.

Right, I don't have a doubt regarding their genuineness. It's just that there are other screen protectors like the Spigen Neo Flex that costs $8.99 for a 2-pack as well. Same goes for the clear cases, there are others that are significantly cheaper than the Samsung. So I'm just wondering how do these fare with the official Samsung ones. Any thoughts?

im gonna order the Spigen liquid Crystal as well. as the reviews says its very good case. (remindes the Ringke features)
I'm using the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. I think it a great case. I had the same one on my S7 Edge for a year.

I just finished installing the Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protector. Initial thoughts so far is it's the best on the market hands down. Make sure you check for case compatibility before you purchase it though. The price is a little steep at $45 but well worth it IMO. The adhesive is under the entire glass and uses a UV to cure. Clarity and touch performance seem to be spot on. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06Z...+galaxy+s8&dpPl=1&dpID=51W7ozwV4HL&ref=plSrch

Me too, in Midnight Black color! Very elegant and nice.
Haven't understand yet if the clear back will become yellow or not in time...
About the screen protection, I'm a tempered glass lover. Since I've been using them I've saved all my old phones.
I've tried some curved glasses on my S8, but finally the Zagg Sapphire Curve is available in Europe and I've ordered one!
I know, it's not glass, but it's supposed to be harder then glass, and got now it's the cheapest solution for having a protection this good that adheres to all the device's screen.
And I've seen that it's case friendly and that not that bad in touchscreen sensitivity!

The Spigen ultra hybrid on my S7 Edge stayed pretty much clear the year I had it. I'm using a Armorsuit Military screen protector. It's not glass but it will do for now. It's really difficult to find a tempered glass protector for a curved screen. It seems like all if them are junk. I wait and let others experiment until there is one that really works without issues.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XXTRWBL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For clear case, my recommendation would be the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear or the Otterbox Symmetry Clear. The otterbox is slightly chunkier but not much.
As for a screen protector I've tried the Samsung official one and the Spigen Neo Flex.
The Samsung one is a dry application and therefore is extremely difficult to get on right without dust spots. I tried it on 3 different phones and didn't get either of them right, even with the dust removal sticker.
The Spigen Neo Flex is a wet application which is far better cause when it dries out it leaves no dust spots or air bubbles. But imo the corners aren't a perfect fit for most cases. Again I tried a few and even with Spigen cases the corners lifted on all of them. A little trimming of the corners with a scalpel solved this. This protector isn't as clear looking as the Samsung dry film but is of the "military material type" and so self heals with any minor dings and scratches. I'd trim the corners a little (follow the contour of the corner and trim off a mm or two) before applying this for best adhesion on all corners for a case. It def has a slightly different feel to screen but at rhe moment I think this is the best solution of at the moment to protect out precious S8 screens.
Hope this helps.

thoughts on putting S9+ in an otterbox case?

I pre ordered my S9+ yesterday. i also ordered and otterbox and one of their tempered glass screen protectors. im coming from a note 5 and still used to a home button. will an otterbox interfere with the fingerprint sensor on back? any other pros or cons to not using the otterbox?

Otterbox cases are quite bulky. Not a fan of them. Ruins the fun of having a nice phone like the S9 only to have it feel like holding a brick.
Get yourself a very thin minimal clear case and/or a skin. As for the tempered glass screen protector, I'm all for screen protectors, so, good move right there.
Samsung's own cases look good, however if you're looking for something cheaper, check out Spigen's lineup.
Not really worried about price. Just want to protect the phone. I'm passing on insurance.

Get yourself a very thin minimal clear case and/or a skin. As for the tempered glass screen protector, I'm all for screen protectors, so, good move right there.
Samsung's own cases look good, however if you're looking for something cheaper, check out Spigen's lineup.

Ah, the Alcantara case. I really liked that one, had it on my S8+.
Offers great grip, and I dropped the phone twice when I had it. Once it landed on it's back, and the second time on it's face. No screen protector.
Absolutely ZERO damage. The corners of the case had minor scuffs, but the phone was perfect.
As you said price wasn't an issue, get this if you can. It's an awesome case.

Same situation here. Ordered my dBrand skins, they should be delivered tomorrow (or Monday), and I'm supposed to get my phone on either the 15th or 16th as well. :/

Question Glass screen protector, which works well with Spigen Tough Armor Case.

Waiting on delivery of my new 23 Ultra (should be here tomorrow) I've also got the "Spigen Tough Armor Case" coming today.
Wanted to know what's the best screen protector to use with this case? i did buy the official Samsung film too as it was cheap. But ideally I'd like something more robust like glass protector. But iv'e heard using the Spigen Tough Armor Case it may affect the screen protect and push it off after a while.
Any recommendation from people who have the Spigen Tough Armor Case and a good glass protector?
Also looking for a film type proctor for the back. As I have another galaxy phone, and it has a spigeon case on it, but the back of the phone has so many scuff marks on it due to the case rubbing on the back over the years. Ideally, ant to avoid this on the ultra.
i'm in the UK by the way.
I have been using this one (IMBZBK)
for months and it's still flawless. Don't buy Whitestone dome or Amfilm. They always start to peel on the edges. Plus Amfilm is using a very weak glue that doesnt last pass a day without the glass coming off.

glass are pretty similar no matter the brand. My bro and I got s22/s23 and we tested few glass protector, and they all are +/- same size and same glue strength.
Some case fit, but the moment it has an impact, it will deform to the glass and lift it.
we tested otterbox, caseology and spigen. It all touches the glass.
However, yesterday I tried a new one, since I was tire to have bubble, and so far so good, it very far from the glass edge. Tocol brand case.
Not the perfect case, since it's slippery, the transparent back is not so transparent and you can not feel the vol/power button .
But this is the one, that Ill keep until the end , pretty sure. Which will be 5-6 years.

After finding one, the YouTube videos seem ok but the Amazon reviews are bad, seems the same with most protectors .
